  • A homeowner remains shaken after burglars smashed their way into a Hollywood Hills home in a brazen multi-million dollar heist.
The break-in, which targeted a home in Doheny Estates, happened on Tuesday at around 12:30 p.m. The homeowner, identified only as Luis, believes he was targeted.
“My neighbor called me and said, ‘Are you at your house?’” Luis recalled. “I said no. He said, ‘I’m sorry but I think you have been hit.’”
KTLA's John Fenoglio reports on July 9, 2024.

He can pay someone $30 bucks an hour to house sit for him for 6 hours a day.. He can have multiple cellular alarm systems that will work even when the power is turned off.. And where is the built in safe???

Definitely someone who has worked on the property or someone he knows, like an ex. If they're hitting a lot of houses in that area then it's people who have done work in a lot of the houses.
That should make them actually pretty easy to figure out. All of the victims should come together and discuss if there is a common denominator of people who have worked in their homes.

@@jerrynadler2883honestly doesn't matter. The SNs of those watches were immediately reported and got put on the stolen registrar for these manufacturers. It's a global list since Rolex, PP, AP, VC, etc are all international companies. He also already circulated all the SNs of all 50 watches to all major luxury watch platforms dealers. Before you can sell such an expensive piece like these, you need to have the SNs vetted with all the information. These watch dealers then contact Rolex ,PP, etc to have them verify the SNs. Also these SNs are shared amongst the community so the moment they try and list it, they'll be rejected by every watch dealer that sells watches in this super high price range. No watch dealer in this price segment segment is not doing their homework on hot watches and is taking a risk listing stolen watches. That's their credibility on the line and that's everything in this industry. It's their livelihood. The only way these crooks will be able to sell them is at a colossal loss on the street corner to people who can't afford a $1k watch. Anyone who knows watches who's spending that kind of money on a watch, would have to be the most clueless person on the planet to not go through the motions of getting the SN authenticated by Rolex, PP, AP, etc. No one's buying these hot $50k watches . At least no buyer that would be buying that type of watch because they know they'll never be able to service the watch (these watches use automatic movements and need servicing every few years or so) because Rolex, PP, AP, etc service center will actually confiscate the watch when it's brought in for service since it will be on the stolen registrar.

My friends once hired a nurse to watch their mother. They loved the nurse. When all the rugs on the first floor of their home were stolen, she was the last person they would suspect, but the police still investigated her. It turned out that she had been dating someone new, and that guy stole all the rugs. The nurse had not been in on it but had gone to the new boyfriend's home about a month prior and had seen his rug, which prompted her to casually mention how her employer had several just like it.
