Köszi a filmet. Sajnos. Köszi a munkádat. ❤❤❤

I live in Budapest so the next time you're in our beautiful country, let me know and I'm happy to show you around our capital city and it's many transport gems
I sometimes work on this railway as a breakman/conductor. This passanger car (JAH if I'm correct with it's original type) is my favourite to break. A bit rapsodic, but because of it's weight compared to the openair MASZOLAJ cars, it's much more like a car on standard gauge. But the main thing I started writing is that I never noticed, how horrible the plexi on the car's end sounds at every moment. Apart from the audio (again, it's the plexi pane's fault), it was a really great video, thanks a lot.
Oh and I nearly forgot, A book come out this september about the story of these railways and all the companies that used it or built it for their own use. It's called "Át a vízválasztón", which roughly translates to Through the divide and is avaible in Hungarian and German. It's a really-really great book, I enjoyed every second of reading it. It's a bit tricky to optain from abroad, but if someone is at nagybörzsöny, you can buy it in the stations ticket office (spoiler allert, it's a JAH passanger car to :D).
@@vasutasisti Thank you for watching! It's always nice to hear from someone from the railway. I'll have a look out for that book. I did buy some books on kisvasút in the little shop at Nagybörzsöny which although all in Hungarian are very good books.
Best super interesting injoy full relexing awasome wonderful railway journey in beautiful forest ❤ where are your video please reply ❤ my name is mahaveer Prasad kanwariya i am from India ❤❤❤❤❤ God bless you all the best very very so much thanks you namaste
The trains are separated two parts for only practical reasons, not by the length of the switchback tracks - these are 52 and 55 meters long. On the way of Nagybörzsöny to Nagyirtáspuszta, up to the hill, it better to seperate the long trains than pull by two locos together, due to the mechanical transmission of the machines - these are 70 years old! In the opposite direction, trains move by gravity on most of the line, and the driver and conductor control the speed by operating mechanical brakes. It is easier to keep the constant speed if two people braking one shorter train together, than four people a longer one. But there are several options to do the same work, usually it depends on who the staff are :-)
While the Looe Valley Line is a very interesting line it only reverses once. The lines I listed were some of the well known lines with a Zig Zag and was by no means a list of all the lines with a Zig Zag. There are many others around the World.
Awesome video, but some small corrections are needed: 1) The real reason why you have to change at the middle of the line is not because of the train length. It's much more complicated. The line is basically owned by three separate private companies: - Börzsöny Kisvasút Nkft. (Szob - Márianosztra section, shortened BK from so on) - Börzsöny 2020 Kft. (Márianosztra - Nagyirtáspuszta section, shortened B2020 from so on) and - Nagybörzsönyi Erdei Kisvasút Nkft. (Nagyirtáspuszta - Nagybörzsöny section, shortened NEK from so on) Before 2019, people not only had to change at Nagyirtáspuszta, but also at Márianosztra and buy three separate tickets to ride the whole line! Since 2019 BK and B2020 has agreed to simplify operations by joining and operating trains between Szob and Nagybörzsöny together, but since the agreement doesn't include NEK, the changeover to another train at Nagybörzsöny remains. 2) The line not only was used to bring rock from the quarries, but also to bring wood from the forest to the standard gauge main line.
Great videos, and very interesting. From the footage it looks like 3739 led its train for most of the journey, just propelling it down the zig-zag, but that on our section of the train, 3756 propelled its single coach for most of the journey, and only led on the zig-zag. But at the end we see 3739 in the process of running around its train. Is that right?.
Yes. According to regulations it don't necessary to running around at Nagyirtáspuszta, if the weather conditions are good, and the loco pulls only one coach.
Thank you for watching! What actually happened was most of it was filmed from the train propelled by 3756. The section down the Zig Zag was filmed on an earlier train, propelled by 3739.
Narrow gauge railways in Central Europe mostly use the old "fish plated joints" method, where the ends of the rails have holes and the two ends are connected by fish plates and bolts. Since the maximum allowed speed of these railways usually don't exceed 25 km/h (~15.5 mph), it's a much more economic way of doing it. There are some examples where the rails are welded (like most of the Királyréti Erdei Vasút line), but it's rare.
It's a shame you attached the camera to the train car. This causes the image to shake with every rail joint. Apart from that, the video is an experience!

A wonderful video! I live fifteen kilometres from Szob and about ten kilometres from Nagybörzsöny. I love this region, so calm, so peaceful!
Thank you for watching! I thought it was a lovely area and would love to visit again. Maybe explore the village of Nagybörzsöny.

Thank you very much for watching! My next video will feature an Indian Steam locomotive. :)
The nearest example to me of reverse junctions is on the Liskeard/Looe branch at Coombe junction.
Thank you for watching! Yes, although only one reversal it has an interesting large loop down from Liskeard to lose height.
I cannot imagine a track inspection on this in the Autumn!
Thank you for watching!
To go down to Iquique, Chile the railway has zig zags like the one in the video. Very interesting, thank you.
Thank you for watching! Sounds good. Maybe somewhere I'll visit one day.

The Georgia Northeastern Railroad in the U.S. uses switchbacks to serve the marble mines in the valley below Tate, Georgia.
Здорово! Классно!

What, please, was the purpose of this railway?
Forest Railway !?!?!? purpose ?????, transporting timber from inaccessible terrain????
Originally forestry, now it's a tourist attraction.

Thank you for watching. It's 760mm Gauge.
Superb
Thank you for watching!
What is the gauge?
760mm.
Would it help to fill the joins in track joints? The camera is suffering!
Je croyais qu’elle tremblait de peur 😂 à cause de la grande vitesse !
