Love getting to see all this vignettes. Hatch has such an interesting perspective on the game and it's great to finally hear all of his thoughts while we're in the Post-Modern age of Survivor.
Richard Hatch is on another level lol. I love hearing him talk about the show beyond what is put on for viewers. He reads people so unbelievably well, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses in a way most people will never be able to. If he was on s40 he would win.None of that cast, not even Kim or Parvarti or Jeremy or Boston Rob, has his level of charisma partnered with intelligence.
ElectrikkPaperClipxx i see you on every video talk about how bad he when he isn’t even in the video. What does that have to do with anything? you sound really jealous 😏😏😏
ElectrikkPaperClipxx why do you think he’s such a troll? He got to the end in back to back seasons and lead one of the strongest alliances in the history of survivor!
@@AndrewSmith-pn2qc yes. mostly I think because of the sexual assault that went on last season on island of the idols.. and of course the situation hatch was apart of on season 8. didn't want to bring anymore controversy.
@@cassieclover99 See that is not a legitimate reason. Fans all wanted to see Hatch so badly. And Hatch was available to do it unlike HvV 10 years ago. Jeff Probst made a mistake not bringing Hatch back. He could have easily filled in for Adam, Ben, or Michelle who are not very good candidates for this season. Hatch was never proven to be guilty of anyhing with the Sue Hawk incident. It could very well have been an accident so why did he get the guillotine trial? That is not a fair thing to do. I think Probst has made several very bad decisions as a producer. He is a good host but not a very good producer in my opinion.
@@cassieclover99 See that is not right. If some random women who is unhappy with Jeff Probst's decisions decides to come out and publicly accuse Jeff of sexually assaulting her, should Jeff Probst be removed as host to avoid controversy. Since is totally unfair for Hatch. He should have been on this season and we all damn well know he should have.
Richard, you are one of the most entertaining people to watch and listen too. I’m excited for season 40, but I know it would be ten times better with you there - same goes for Heroes vs Villains and Redemption Island. People, could you have imagined Hatch vs Boston Rob vs Hantz with a bunch of new players on redemption Island?! Ratings would’ve doubled. Survivor! Do a legends season with Richard hatch!!
i think it will be mistake to put these legends with noobies.... i think they have bigger chance against other legends.... and more space for big moves also..
he still uses the footage he knows who to ask and what, thats why as a player at tribal pay close attention on who hes focusing on with questions, if you havnt done much leading up to tribal and yet hes talking to you alot then most likely he knows something you dont, he knows everything thats going on as a viewer its very obvious
Yes, Jeff is a good host. I found an old episode of "Rock and Roll Jeopardy" and he was highly entertaining. I wish I could find more. Somewhere, someone has an archive of his "Rock and Roll Jeopardy" episodes, along with his early work on FX. I never caught his talk show. It's a shame to hear that it was so canned, as Probst is often best "in the moment".
It seems to me Jeff helps some of the contestants and harms others but when it happens it's in the name of making the show more exciting playing to the audience. Some of the later on challenges are also aids to some players and streak busters to others or the other way around depending on what the perceived audience desire may be. Take season 30 for example...the last challenge was suited for Mike who would have been voted out by duds had he now won that challenge.
I think the failure of Probst’s talk is what has lead us to where we are now with Survivor: it’s his show now. He’s changed the Final Tribal Council format, along with pushing for very special episodes with the Zeke/Varner incident and last season with Dan Spilo.
@@AndrewSmith-pn2qc No he is the king snake of the island, that's how he won. He was a master of manipulation, and I give all props to him for being the best survivor.
I’m curious - how did you call out Jeff for asking those kinds of questions without the other players seeing or hearing? Also I think even today from what I see as a viewer, his questions can give things away. It’s not always the question itself, but who he asks and in what order.
It's probably hard for the viewer to separate Jeff's seeming favoritism from the edit. My guess is that he calls out most players for >something< each tribal, but the show's edit only focuses on what's important for the story being told. That being said, he absolutely has had it in for certain players, especially if they say something off-color or shocking or politically incorrect at tribal. He's by no means neutral.
Richard, I think your assessment of Jeff’s skills is a bit superficial. I agree that he absolutely is one hell of a skilled host/interviewer, etc, but it definitely goes beyond his ability to speak extemporaneously. Jeff exudes tremendous compassion and empathy for those whom he interviews without making it about him. He is one of the most adept listeners I’ve witnessed in an entertainment venue and he is tremendously skilled at remaining grounded particularly in times of duress for contestants.
this video is a wolf in sheep's clothing haha Jeff is really under fire from you these days, Hatch! (and I can totally understand why) keep em coming, big guy
Debra Jensen Stupid reaction that ignores what was said. Jeff’s show was crap, cancelled quickly, and in fact, I did see how, with Jeff’s abilities, he could have saved it to produce something good. There’s nothing about my ego or “greatness” here. Just an honest offer to help. What harm can come from listening? ...like I try to do, even to snarky, sarcastic twits like you, just in case there happens to be value in something you say.
Leave jeff alone Richard..your smart at the game but maybe your mouth was and is too big for your own survival that ended up costing you a place in the game come season 40. Who knows

Bryan Morales facts. His questions always follows the storyline of the episode. They’re good questions, but they’re not ad hoc
