"the small minuscule part in the story I had" - you mean supplying underage girls with alcohol? That isn't a small part buddy. You played a serious role in this woman being assaulted. It was your drugs you bought, that made her lose consciousness so the assault could happen to her in the first place.
These people need to step up and start taking actual responsibility. Its sickening. Its like Dobrik pushing all the blame on Dom. "I didnt do the assault, he did." Yeah David, but you set up the assault as apart of a story in your vlog. You directed it. You took footage and edited it, to make it look like the victim consented. You set up the assault, you directed it, and then you covered it up. You spent months intimidating the victim, and making them think they are crazy."
TH-cam knew about all of these accusations, yet continued to give Dobrik preference in their searches, ads & marketing. Now they are demonetizing him, and washing their hands clean of him. But what about their responsibility, for allowing these monsters to profit off their platform? Continuing to give him power, so victims felt afraid to speak up.
These aren't "small" things. When are all these people going to actually step up and own their part in all of this. It's sad to see so many individuals try to minimize their role in this.

He used his friends apology videos to try to find the best way to apologise and have people think he actually cared, and he knew he would get to watch all their careers go downhill while trying to make him look good. Jeff deserves a lot more praise for this. He had clarity in spite of his cognitive difficulties due to his accident. His injuries were quite severe and he has a long way to full recovery. I had a near-death car accident, and suffered immensely with my trauma and prolonged use of certain medication, that caused me serious lapses in judgment and behavioral issues. Jeff appeared a bit slow and uncooperative during your interrogation on Frenemies, but I understood he was not in the best state of mind. Yes, he was defensive and tried his best to separate himself from anything that would incriminate him, as he acknowledged fully and apologized for in his video. I will say that years later, I still have short-term memory loss, and it takes me a while to fully grasp a long question in a test, or quickly formulate a thought during a discussion. I appreciate your efforts, Ethan, but Jeff struggled to respond to you for reasons he mentioned he was too ashamed to disclose. I hope you reach out to him and give him an apology too.

I've been injured by a doctor during surgery and it rang a lot of bells to how I felt about it for a long time... Helpless, embarrassed, angry, guilty for just accepting it, confusion about forgiveness... I know and it seems like he knows that SA isn't the same, but both take control out of your life and make you feel left behind and discarded. You cant tell he was remorseful he also felt very disgusted obviously for covering up for a friend. When he was talking about the need to speak up, encouraging others to speak of the abuse they've suffered through I felt something I can only describe as hopelessness again. I wish I had someone like Jeff to encourage me to speak about the abuse I was going through when i was younger. I always heard "report sexual abuse" or "speak up" but it never felt like anyone actually cared. I'm glad he is donating money to that organization. Ever since he first came on the podcast, I just thought he was very naïve. At least for me, I could tell he was disgusted but had to deny it because it was David he was talking about. ... That they ALL knew about, took part in, didn't stop or prevent (esp knowing the ages of, the whole "loosening up" comments AND Dom's history, sexual aggression & boundary crossing behaviors! To leave suuuuper drunk (let alone any) woman alone w/ him? Was not ok. All knew about Alli prior to, etc! (highly likely imho, they all knew about text.. esp. w/ vid taken down! Not really a way to prove that so.. prob knew he could safely mislead) What none of them stopped & worse.. still stood by, witnessed & allowed to happen btw. Consent CANNOT be given in that state, period. (Stellar vid by both "MAMA DOCTOR JONES" about this/consent + also "MICKEY ATKINS" a therapist making great points RE: power dynamic, imbalance, 'fans'.. while reacting to David's 1st apology. Phew, she gets heeeeated!!!! Both, DEF. worth the watch; very informative & on point!)
Also lying, now knowing he was there the whole time & SAW state she was in. (a shame it took time stamped pic for some honesty) Underage, blacked out drunk because of many who, even if they thought it was some bit...NOT ok to even portray, be part of. Not funny in the least... So even IF he didn't know the rest, still super unacceptable & w/age + alcohol, criminal at that! It was assault regardless, so they all DID know THEN, as consent wouldn't exist. The alcohol, lack of integrity by everyone else there.. mind blowing. The sober friend, even Trisha + Jason to an extent, & most DEFINITELY ... Jeff too..just super irresponsible! What should & could have never taken place if anyone just used their brain & moral compass even a little! What if that was their little sister.. best friend?! Ok that all just stood by? Allowed, witnessed, laughed at, devalued, smeared & laughed some more, while lying about?! smh.
A big part of the story.. main cause, actually.. conveniently missing from his video, STILL. Sorry. (as well as his apology for blaming Trisha too, but.. should be sep issue anyway imho) He should have made a public statement, only if/when fully informed, ready to be accountable + ... clear-minded, imho. His thoughts, likely blurred by influence of pain pills he mentioned being on a couple times now but jeeeeez..
A horrible & so backwards example exists tho.. all way to top. Repeatedly showing what's apparently not only acceptable, but gets enabled, supported, + greatly rewarded!!! From people to YT, Google, esp brands/sponsors.. Over & over, success has become rewarding bad behavior. Not checking into, or enforcing rules, boundaries, behaviors, laws.. consistently, across the board. Not holding accountable nor issuing tangible consequences for.. They are taught to say/do whatever it takes (at other's expense/impact.. just not your own) to manipulate way out of, whatever might "work", be believed with least personal loss... just win. To GET or get OUT of, lie, manipulate, cheat.. there's no risk, fear of loss, conscience or integrity, no compassion, consideration or respect for others, zero follow through. They do whatever they want/need selfishly.. because they are taught they CAN. Have been shown time/time again, what they say/do is acceptable. Award-worthy! Tesla, tesla, $$$millions, mansions, Lamborfuckinghini worthy. Sponsor after sponsor, contract, ads/promos undisclosed..eh, no one bars and eye. Rewarded for... ?! UNTIL.... $$ What suddenly, "doesn't align with our core values, mission statement" yet had no issues when it already existed yesterday, last year. & when they met, signed on, rewarded, encouraged..?! Ohhhhh, only once it impacts someone's OWN pockets & truly risks their OWN livelihood.. then they care & do something. Again, tho.. isn't remorse for victim or for wrong doing imho. (if.. other vids would have been sincere, integral, had empathy/emotion, remorse & understanding.. from start!!) BUT instead, its for getting caught, stopped & for what's at risk personally. $$$$$$ because of.. the loss to themselves. Too little & way too late, imho. Def same w/ $gitty sponsors who encouraged, supported all along & didn't do due diligence. Thats the backwards & awfully narcissistic current example being set, of "success" tho, everywhere, every time.. It desperately needs to be changed or will only keep getting worse otherwise. So sorry for rambling, IF u even got this far. lol. Super important topic tho, imho.. check out those 2 vids, phew. ~Stay safe, be well.
