    So Lyft is generally cheaper in most cities, their employees get paid more, and their drivers get tips more often.

    I setup both Lyft and uber the same day. Lyft was completely approved within 24 hours, uber took another 24 hours with errors. After approved for both with uber errors in tact, uber app did Not Go, it would just sit there on the Go just glowing. We called them and soent over 30 minutes with still no avail. We uninstalled the app restarted the phone nothing worked. My Girlfriend started to leave and I said hold on let's try Lyft. Within 30 seconds or less we got our first ride. Uber still won't work. But she's been doing Lyft with non stop rides everyday since. Lyft was easy, quick and no problems. One issue Lyft does not have a phone to call. Unless I missed that. Uber had one to call but only wasted my time and still the app doesn't work.

    As a driver I would definitely have to say Lyft used to pay drivers better. However in 2019 with both companies going public Lyft really started taking a lot more from their drivers especially those on Express Drive. They're already paying for a rental vehicle per week lift lower gear per mile compensation by 10 cents per mile. That might not seem like much but any driver will tell you that you just specially if they're doing it full-time. Lyft in their personal power zones for the most part is just a publicity stunt. If you're running both apps and you're in the same area you'll see Lyft doesn't offer drivers anyting in terms of surge pricing however they're charging the customers surge pricing. I will be more than happy to share with you this data feel free to contact me. So in other words if we re calculated everything Uber actually wins and I don't take any pride and saying that it's just the truth in 2019. I think lift is more hell-bent on trying to be the first to say that there stock is profitable.

    You have to live it, and experience it to fully able to talk about it. I made $57,000 with Lyft. They took over $18,000, and I still have to pay federal and state taxes. My car note is $400 a month, my insurance is $150, and I spent over $900 a month on gas. If I worked for a company they will only take federal and state taxes. Now I'm not including mileage, wear and tear, and maintenance on the vehicle. I went from paying $40 to fill my tank, and I'm now paying $65. Yes, it's about money for the government, and money for the rideshare companies, but in the end the drivers have to be comfortable. Between Uber and Lyft our deductible is over $2,500. To be honest with you this situation is worse than working as an employee. Working for Uber and Lyft have nothing to do with self-employment, partnership, or an opportunity to work whenever you want. You have to wake up early, and go to sleep late. By law you can only do 8 hours on the road at a time, but with Uber and Lyft if you're not breaking the law you're not making money. Let's not talk about right off because that only comes from expenses. Our biggest expense is gas, our car note, an hour insurance. The driverless car and airplane technology been around for years. I believe Lyft and Uber will still run into serious competition. However, I believe that the drivers will be better off by themselves catering to 40 to 100 customers per month. As of right now we pick up 20 to 30 customers per day. I believe the average driver are going to be spending over $20,000 a year in gas.

    In general, I find Lyft is cheaper in Florida than Uber. I did both Uber and Lyft as a driver at one point, but I find Lyft passengers are more friendly and talkative than Uber passengers. I have 5 stars on Lyft (went as low as 4.92 at one point). I never got above 4.89 stars as an Uber driver.

    Yet another failed lyft ride. Their technology is bad. When you type in an address, there is no guarantee what address the driver sees. At least they should let you enter the google maps plus code. Ridiculous. They say they use the GPS but I don't believe it. I have had too many drivers lost. I end up having to give them the Google maps plus code and typing it in to Google maps.

    Lyft hirers driver’s 1months old or 1 week old driving license they don’t care.and Uber requires 1 years old license so absolutely Ubers Have Quality driver’s so that’s why Uber littlebit expensive But safety first so Definitely Ubers awesome Uber is very safe better than Lyft.

    • @Khadi-C
      @Khadi-C 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is blatantly untrue. Lyft wouldn't accept my license unless it was at least exactly a year old. Not even 364 days. Had to be exact. I was also waitlisted for a month.

    I have to say as a driver for both companies Lyft customers are the cheapest people so they don't tip Uber customers tip more I know I'm a driver five star drivers I'm a 5-star driver that's right three years for both companies and your story is totally wrong okay wrong completely wrong so fact check before you make a story like this I think the winner is Uber all around but I think Lyft is paying you off because you might have stocks with him stop lying to the consumers please
