Alas, this method does not remove all segments with silence. He chooses them at his discretion.

You should be able to click the three dots in order to remove all silence

Do you know if the relight tool in the studio version can add effect of flickering light from a fire on the objects in the footage?

I've never really played around with the relight tool too much
But it does have a brightness control which is keyframable and what not so I imagine you could use keyframes and with some masking you could create a flickering effect by turning down the brightness and then amping it up again
but can't say for sure

For gaming videos are we able to add the cut out silences back in for areas where it might have cut out a visual scene we wanted to keep?

Ohhhhh yeah absolutely it will let you extend the clip if you need to.
