Here’s a shout out to Mower Mike!! Man I’ve worked on lots of mechanical issues over the years but never tackled replacing a Cub Cadette 1024 drive and deck belt. Mower Mike what a great video and awesome comments without your directions I would have been working on that job forever! Thanks to you and your tricks like the rope trick and other cool work arounds my lawnmower is in the road again. Thanks buddy!!
Well unless you go fairly far back they just made by MTD. Thanks for the video. Looks the same as at Walmart special I've got. I'll need to research for an older mower Cub cadet see if you have one. I like your no-nonsense screwdriver approach.
Is this all i need to do to the mower to run itbwithout a deck? My deck rotted out amd we ended up getting a new mower and inwant to use this one just for hauling the wagon around
You would remove the deck along with the deck belt. Will also need to remove any lifter brackets hanging down. It is all pretty easy once you get the deck off.
@@MowerMike I keep breaking the mandels (?) the spinner things that hold the blade. I just replaced 2 again but this time was my fault. But they do seem to break really easy.
@@MowerMike yeah that's what the wife said too. The last time it was a piece of metal from who knows where, it wasn't there the last time I mowed 15 years ago:-) it took out both mandels and both blades.........maybe I can make a knife with my bent up blades.

Aggg Husqvarna’s. I have battled many over the years. I am not a fan of their design. What exactly is your issue with your Swedish machine?

@@brucegillette5713 They are made of really cheap pot metal. Have to stop hittin stumps is my only advice.
