sometimes asking for "unsafe equipment" will get it dropped to that lesser charge , however you will still have to pay court costs, but no insurance points
I got my first one a few weeks ago, and once I got confirmation from my insurance agent (the local office, not just corporate) that it wouldn't affect my rates since it was my first and a minor (no points) one, I just went home and paid it because the time I would've spent trying to have it wiped was worth more to me than the $97 to just be done with it then lol. Only thing I really cared about in that decision was that my insurance wouldn't go up

actually for those that do not know... you GENERALLY can do the driver course ONCE PER YEAR, in most states... also the course can get you a 10% insurance discount, again as he said though IF you have a clean driving record.

It should be noted that that class you mentioned also costs money, and oftentimes more than the fine itself.
It’s still good advice to avoid insurance premiums. It also works for non-speeding violations.

Number one; don't get caught.
- The authorities usually can arrest you for commiting mass murder, but in order to do so, they have to know you did it, and it would be abuse of authority if they didn't know you did it and arrested you anyway.
Number 2; convince them it was self-defense
- While it can be hard to convince the authorities that it was a case of self-defense, with the correct conditions you will get out free, or at least a lighter sentence.
Number 3; Become dictator
- Historically, dictators are not charged for any mass murders they order, so of course they would not be charged for any murders THEY did.

Best way to get away with it is to minimize as much evidence as possible that connects you to the crime. Wear gloves, wear a mask plus black clothing, avoid being seen by cameras. Even if you later get brought in for questioning, there won't be enough evidence to convict you. Having a tight alibi backed up by friends works too

What does the driving school include? I seriously feel i feel wrongfully ticketed though. 12 years of driving and no instance till today! And it's by a ticket hungry cop who gave out over 500 in a month on record! I was not going the speed he claims till after the speed change. (Claims I did 48 in a 35, right after construction, then within. 1000 ft it changes to 50. I know I didn't go from under 30-48 within 20 seconds. @@cdviix3425

Completely accurate depiction of insurance companies
This actually works. My friend used to pay his tickets immediately and courts would use that as an admission of guilt.
Had another friend who was poor so he didn’t pay the ticket. But he rescheduled his court case last minute. The police officer didn’t end up showing up to his case so the judge dismissed it.
People are missing the point tho. Like yeah this doesn’t always work. And a judge can still fine you. But in most cases a judge is much more likely to dismiss a case if the police officer doesn’t show up - and your offense is minor (like speeding or a parking violation).
What is 100% true is that most police try to schedule their cases all on the same day. So if a single case (your case) is scheduled on another date where they don’t need to be in court there is a high chance they won’t show up either because A) they don’t want to attend court for a single case or B) they forget because the date was changed.
Accurate depiction of insurance companies. It's the only industry I know of where their business model is based on not providing the services you pay for.
Anyway here's a brownie recipe
Ingredients
•1 cup unsalted butter
•2 cups granulated sugar
•4 large eggs
•1 teaspoon vanilla extract
•1/2 cup all purpose flour
•1/2 cup cocoa powder
•1/4 teaspoon salt
•1 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (Optional)
Instructions;
1. Preheat over to 350° / 175°€ and grease a baking pan
2. Melt 1 cup of butter, mix with 2 cups of sugar
3. Add 4 eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla; Mix until all the dry is mixed in.
4. Put in the 1/2 cup of flour, the 1/2 cup of cocoa, and the 1/4 teaspoon salt; Stir well
5. If you have the 1 cup of nuts or chocolate chips, add it in and stir.
6. Pour into pan, and bake for 25-30 minutes.
7. Check with a toothpick, if clean, let it cool and enjoy!

Years ago, I got a ticket for failing to come to a complete stop before making a right turn at a red light. When I went in to pay the fine, the clerk is the one that told me that I could take the classes instead, and doing so would keep it off my record. I signed up right then.

I asked the prosecutor for diversion and he took me golfing.
He forgot to mention that expired registrations and driving without insurance can prevent you from getting a deferral. If you're under 25 and take a defensive driving course, consider paying extra for multiple copies of the completion certificate. This can save you money on future courses and potentially qualify you for insurance discounts, and you don't even need a deferral for those. Online defensive driving courses are cheaper than in-person classes and offer more flexibility, allowing you to complete them at your own pace on your phone. Just remember to finish court-ordered courses within the required timeframe.

Folks you do realize that Mike is talking about speeding tickets that are considered misdemeanors. If you are committing; felony reckless driving(California Vehicle Code Section 23103, reckless driving is defined as driving a motor vehicle “in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property.” A person can be arrested for reckless driving on either a public road or a private parking facility.)
felony evasion, road rage etc, you will be placed in custody and charged. Now, for those who watch Mike’s channel often, you can invoke the fifth amendment while getting arrested, but you’ll still be charged. Your car will be towed and impounded. You will have to pay the tow charge and impound fee. You’ll also have to bond out. On top of that, you’ll have to call Mike to help you get all of the charges dropped.
Not a good investment if you are trying to save some money this year or if you have any fun plans within the next few months to a year haha. Stay safe and good luck 🍀

fun fact: deferred judgement/disposition works for a wide variety of crimes, sometimes including felonies. i got deferred judgement for 3 drug related misdemeanors, two got dropped and the third is off my record in 8 months. i know a guy who got caught trafficking pounds of weed, he has a clean record because of deferred judgement.
Defensive driving or drover defferal may or may not be allowed in your state. This can only be used on misdemeanor charges and can not be used for any criminal offense. If your state allows this, it's usually allowed once per year.

Deferred disposition is not an option if your ticket was for speeding 25 miles per hour or more over the limit, or your ticket resulted from a traffic accident.
The problem with this advice is that the courses often cost more than the ticket and last an entire day. Not to mention that are excruciatingly boring. Also, just because you got a ticket, that doesnt mean your insurance premiums will go up.
Don't forget court cost fees. Those got me in the butt even after I asked to take the course.

Apparently Duluth Minnesota raised ticket prices so people would just take a driver's course and learn how to drive but the people just paid the tickets instead
They generally only offer deferred disposition once in every six months to two years, or in some cases only once, period.

Deferral programs usually cost just as much as a speeding ticket if not more depending on how fast you were going. That being said you dont pay the ticket but for the program instead. It is also true that upon completing the program the ticket goes away and you don't get any points on your record, nor do your rates go up. Most deferrals are a 6 month period that you have to go without getting a ticket (or potentially warning as well though I don't know about that one)

Deferral in my state costs more than paying the ticket, but the benefit is yes it won't be reported or on your record and you can apply for it yearly as long as you're not getting tickets within 6 months.
Making the alternative more expensive is the entire point of a ticket. The amount they cost is carefully calculated to be _just_ under the amount most people will lose missing work to go to court to fight it.
This is because tickets are not about safety, they're a random tax.
My state has the driver's course. You can only take it every 2 years, but there's no record of the ticket and no points. I was looking at 6 points, and at 12 they suspend your license. The course does cost money, but you can add it onto your insurance for possibly a lower rate.

If you don't get a deferral, sell the car and start using public transport instead of paying the primums, the primums alone cost more than public transport for the same time span, also the gas alone cost more than public transport for the same amount of time so public transport is better
Usually diversions cost more than the ticket so they expunge it off your record given you don’t get any more tickets. There’s nuances that are definitely being ignored so make sure to mention them
