Very true. All life has meaning. Whenever I’m out walking my pups, I like to look out for earthworms struggling on the sidewalk. It takes like 5 seconds to pick them up and place them on a nice patch of grass or dirt and save their lives.
If wildlife aid exemplifies one thing, it's that all wildlife matters. They treat every creature with the best care, doesn't matter if it's a swan or a pigeon, a deer or a fieldmouse. You rescued a creature, that's awesome!
So grateful the homeowner's daughter Googled and that you were there to save this cutie. Someone mentioned on a previous video that nets, be they, for the garden or the soccer field need to come with warning labels and the 1 foot rule. So much suffering could so easily be avoided.
Wish they'd broadcast the netting situation on the news or something so more people are aware of these situations that can happen. Thank you for doing everything you can to help x
As I have said a few times on here I have removed all my netting from the garden because of these video's. Thank you Simon great job for this little cutie, may he have a long and healthy life in the wild wood!
Simon to the rescue thankfully that gorgeous wee fox cub was given the treatment he needed and will be released to have a 2nd chance thanks to the wonderful angels at Wildlife Aid .
It's sad that the wee little booboo couldn't be returned to his family, but I'm glad he eventually recovered. I was worried there for a bit! As always, great job, Simon! :-)
So much suffering, and time, money and effort by you guys and wildlife rescue organisations spent on putting right the harm that these blessed netting problems cause. It’s as if you have to point this out to people rescue by rescue. Must be SO frustrating!
If I ever get the choice between wire/wire netting or planting a bush, I'm using the bush! Too many times, you show so much wildlife caught in mesh, netting or wire. You're such a hard working team, so thankyou, for always doing everything you all can, to help save these lives 💪😁💖
I think the tiny viscous spitting cubs are the cutest! Wish he could have enjoyed the fulness of growing up with his mum, but I am happy you are looking after him and he had a good result in the end.
So happy the cub recovered well. Even though he can’t returned to the wild right now, I know you guys are gonna make sure it and the rest of the cubs have a great start when they can be returned
So sad people don't have the sense to keep netting at a safe height or even not use it at all. Thank you to Simon for rescuing this little guy, I have no idea who to contact here in South Wales for help of the type you offer in England.
Thanks so much, that's really kind of you! If you wanted to find details of your local wildlife rescue, www.helpwildlife.co.uk has a full list of local centres and will tell you which ones are best to call :)
Poor little baby! I was so worried that it would be an amputation and so relieved that it wasn't. Simon is so wonderful with all the animals and I love his chatter to the animals he rescues. This baby fox he was talking to was no exception.
So glad he will be fine. But what a terrible life changing experience he had and how easily that could have been avoided! People, please make sure your nets don’t hurt wildlife.
Netting is just awful stuff ☹️ great work guys that little cub was a feisty one but was also absolutely stunning glad you have given him a second chance 🦊♥️
Oh gosh - a little spicy baby with a big problem. Thankyou for such a great rescue and for helping him until he is old enough to return to the wild.. He is growing to be a very handsome fox.
I'm always amazed at how much work and love you put in to save these beautiful animals. To my knowledge, there's no such organisation here in Sweden that does such wonderful, selfless work as you do. You guys are my heroes!
🥺 wow poor little guy, I was worried he wouldn't get the blood flow back, so glad you can release him later in the year, another great job and video thanks 💖😁
I feel so bad that a bit of netting caused this little fox to lose his family. The mother fox will never know her cub survived. :( Well, at least he found a new family with you guys.
I love foxes thanks for sharing and saving this beauty. I would love having foxes around my place like this too.🦊🦊🦊 they are very smart they know you are very good at taking care of them.
It's just so funny when I think about it how small England is compared to North America Bend I think Howl in the world can they have wildlife the wildlife must be sleeping in the same bed as them it's such a tiny Island Again compared to North America we even the farm I grew up on was 188 Acres it's like one 100 of England it's crazy anyway I love all of the rescues I love Simon and all of The Rescuers I try not to miss any of the videos I miss when they used to come more frequently and longer I don't know why I don't get that now I must investigate I'm too poor to give financially but I always like the videos and recommend them to my friends thank you as usual to your dedication to helping the wildlings without them we have no future
Sad that the fox cub couldn’t return to his family. Why ppl still leave those web to the ground I cannot understand. Simon has been preaching this for years!
Ya'll should get with the Urban Rescue ranch (or branch). They're just starting out and do a mix of domestic and wild rescue in Texas. Trade some tips and tricks. Lots of the same problems, if different critters. Dude started out with ducks/chickens and and insanely violent Rhea and now has a pretty decent rescue operation going.
I wonder what the purpose of that netting is. If you're trying to keep animals out, that is what rabbit fencing or chicken wire fencing is for. And if its for something bigger there's welded wire fencing and cattle panels. I have seen net fencing but the vertical "strands" (for the lack of a better term) are just plastic rods and it has wire woven into it so you can electrify it, and that keeps most animals away from it. Been removing wildlife from peoples property for almost 20 years never seen netting like that used in any place that would cause animals a problem. It is amazing how quick young animals becoming receptive to being handled by people. Just noticing that the vet didn't use gloves to handle the fox nor was it restrained.
Great work WAF! I'm going to make a donation Serious question: What is the intended purpose of this horrible netting? I fail to understand what's being accomplished other than trapping wildlife. It makes me angry seeing all the unnecessary pain and distress caused by this netting. . PS-Can cities enact some sort of netting ban? Or at least educate homeowners to raise it up, for whatever purpose it may serve?

I actually saved a bee from drowning today! Its not a fox kit but its something and its also a valuable part of the ecosystem!

I keep a small strainer by thr pool so if I see one while swimming I can scoop it out.
@@hopefletcher7420 Also put in some kind of ramp so animals that fall in can climb back out.

So are we! Thanks so much for the support. Netting is such a big issue here and we would love to see more awareness!
@@wildlifeaid There is a fundraiser idea & a call to BBC to see if they will cover it or have a news story about netting & wildlife
Wish they'd broadcast the netting situation on the news or something so more people are aware of these situations that can happen. Thank you for doing everything you can to help x
Share the video with as many people as you can. That works as well. 😊
Don't click on links from people you do not know, you could get infected with a virus/malware!

@ RukMoogle. Agree whole heartedly .
@@wildlifeaid Can't you send something to The Sun or something? HUNDREDS OF CUTE BABY FOXES KILLED EVERY YEAR! ...I think that would be fitting...
I love how determined the baby is to try and bite you 🤣
Haha, it's always great to see them with a bit of fight!
Confident little guy
@@dragonsember Indeed!
What a lucky fox he was. Well done to all.
Seeing all these videos of animals getting stuck in netting made me remove all netting from my garden.
i love this man and what he's doing to save the poor animals 💜
Thanks so much. We really appreciate it :)

amazing just how much these 'wild' animals will calms down and become friendly or 'less savage' the moment they realize you arntgoung to eat them...
Mega batty teaches the public about netting and how bats get trapped in nets also.
Thank you for saving this little guy!
Thankyou for such kindness ☺
He wasn’t trying to bite the pretty lady.
Baby fox: "I has a fierce! I bite!"

How long can the cub be away from the den before you can't rescue release?
It really depends, but usually we use 48-72 hours as the maximum timeframe we're comfortable with
