So scouts can no longer attack, I know scouts were always the weakest attacker but they could provide flanking for warriors and could deliver the finishing blow to barbarians.
In civ 6 you could promote them to get as strong as a warrior too, and once they upgraded to have ranged attacks they could still be used under some circumstances.
Dude, that Resource info saved me so much time I know I would've spent playing the game, with no clue how to utilize them correctly. Very happy to hear that bonus type, can go to towns, and empire type, stack. Having an excess of horses actually means something now! Unlike in Civ 6.
Just got into the genre and really excited to play my first civ game, I also mostly play humankind since it’s on gamepass so many of the controversial features in civ7 will actually be great for me
why? If youve really played that long you will KNOW that they will release 2 more expansions that completely change the mechanics, even Civ and leader mechs, will ALL be different by that 2nd expansion. They will nickle and dime us with DLC and they MIGHT improve the AI from 6 (which was the worst in the series). You are literally paying for a bare bones version that wont even last.
Love your content man. Knew something was up with the 49 minutes of game play before. Nice tips man I am excited to play this game for a billion hours haha
It was a great informative video. I've watched a ton of your peers, and I quite liked how you focused [like the commander] in delivering pinpoint info.
Thanks, super clear and helpful to the beginner level. A lot of the other content right now seems pitched at the Civ7 PhD researcher and delivered at 130% reading speed.
Looks like they cloned everything that makes Humankind great. Can't wait for the comparisons to come out. Glad to finally see this genre moving forward, it was quite stagnant for a while.
@Ezullof I don't know, the unit movement, combat, resources, way of building city buildings, influence and diplomacy - all of these work just fine in Humankind. They are game mechanics, not concepts. Credit where credit is due - there is clearly a cycle of inspiration and positive copying between these games.
One thing I don't get about the people being like "they took this one feature from humankind!" is like... Where were those people when humankind itself came out, taking essentially the entire game (except a few new ideas) from Civ? 😂 Civ has all the right (and more) to take back a few ideas and improve them, honestly.
Already know I'm going to prefer 7 to 6, just the variety of combat potential and custom features for Civs is incredible. Not to mention navigable rivers and enhanced naval combat.
Looks like they screwed up the 'pedia again. You'd think that the CivPedia would be the perfect place to describe a unit's special abilities. You'd also think the Reource Types page might include each resource type's icon. Oh well. Thanks for the vid. Helpful stuff.
Echo Ridge Gaming, just a quick question, since you might happen to know. Just to explain I am muslim and like the CIV games, but always avoid dealing with pantheons etc - I like that now in the exploration age I can now instantly select a belief. Does that mean that I can skip researching Mystiscm in the Antiquity age, and then one age later at Exploration Age I can research it and select a religion? I just want to avoid pantheon completely
Is there an experience difference between using focus fire and attacking individually? It may be more experience for the commander to attack individually based on the experience bonus shown in the video....
I would love to play right now. Just payed $100 for a game I now can't play because it's just crashing every 5 mins. Tried offline cause I saw it would help. Didn't help me though 😢
Lookout function is a gimmick, the ai can see what you cannot see and will always move it's units through areas you cannot see into. Building warriors in early game makes more sense than scouts.

In civ 6 you could promote them to get as strong as a warrior too, and once they upgraded to have ranged attacks they could still be used under some circumstances.
The good news is that enemy scouts can't attack, either.
Also, they can destroy other scouts
Might be a modern era upgrade to make them special forces like other civ games
This is such a non-issue

Yknow I was trying to figure out what I can’t get into Civ 7 content but now that I think about it, youre absolutely right.
Great tips! Thanks for making them easy to follow and quick!
Recently discovered this channel. I enjoyed this tips video. I look forward to more Civ7 content.
Thank you! This was the most valuable video I've seen on Civ 7 so far.
Thank you for not making an hour long Civilization VII video like so many other creators. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Found your channel recently, love your series ❤😀💕
Back in the Civ saddle!! These games are proper addictive, and vids like these really whet the appetite. Has the 'one more turn' itch set in, yet? XD
Can't wait to play this game along Echo and the comunity!
Very clarifying, thanks!

No, they took good concepts that Humankind had, and turned them into good game mechanics.
