Thanks did not know anything about retropie. I bought one off eBay. The seller did not even include any instructions. So I basically had to find out everything on my own.
Games that were not picked automatically, you can do manual search without changing ROM's name. (Megamen vs. Rockmen and other regional stuff such as Megadrive vs. Genesis etc.) WOuld be nice to include that in this video as an option. BRW, great videos!
I've tried this 3 times and I get zero results. I know I am connected to the internet because I have loaded ROMs over network but it doesn't appear to go grab the artwork for my games. I have mainstream games and all. Any suggestions ETA? Thanks.

I remember back in the day with Hyperspin, you could just download the complete 'marques', 'box art', 'description' ETC and just dump that folder in the appropriate spot and it worked. is there any procedure like that for retropie?? =/
When you have scrape the images to the games? Does the Pi still have to be on the Internet - or can it be offline and still have the images?

Is there a way to scrape without to rename the roms titles? I have the problem that after scraping my roms, I don't know anymore if it is a (J), (U) or (EU) Rom.
Do they have to be labelled correctly? as I get no games Coming up when I do this.

Works great for me. love this tutorial.
Only issue I got, is that most snes games runs a little slow or the resolution on them are bit off. I run them on my 40" TV, is there any special settings on the emulator or so that you could recommended?
I've had no issues with the speed of the snes emu. You can change the aspect ratio and resolution if you want . When you start a game a black screen will show up for a few seconds with a text box in the middle. Hit the a button , now from this menu you can change the resolution and aspect ratio.

Can you do a follow up video detailing why this would fail and solutions to those failures? I just got a raspberry pi 3 B+ - new install of retropie and all that. And this scraper fails to get anything.

It's very weird I thought it might not work for obscure games but actually in my case (so far) the only ones not recognized were Out Run and Ms Pac Man

Alesis Doppler from my experience you should do a restart of emulation station once you scrape the artwork or do any changes. Then once you do that, always make sure to do a safe shutdown by selecting it directly from RetroArch.

In the voice SCRAPE FROM I've only "THEGAMESDB" ... How do you do to have "THEARCHIVE" voice ?
built in scraper never works, no matter how much you try, and unable to install 3rd party ones, just get errors errors errors. I wish there was a way to MANUALLY add my own good quality art, and descriptions without relying on stoopid online scraper shit that dosen't work and wastes hours of life. lol.. plus, even when you go to thegamesdb on the web, there is lowres crap there as well.
