Alright so let me try to explain the whole Vtuber deal. You know how you live stream on TH-cam and you have a cam to record you? Well instead of displaying their faces, their cam uses an app to track facial expressions and they use a virtual avatar to display instead. That's basically the gist of it as they do whatever any other person livestreaming does; play games, talk to their chat, sing karaoke, cooking streams--you name it, as long as it's within the rules of the streaming platform. I'm not too big into anime, but Vtubers aren't really about anime other than many have anime stylized avatars.
I think explaining the joys of baseball to the other side of this is harder...cause how can you explain growing up to Vin Scully and remembering the first game you went to at age 4~5 when Raul Mondesi and Mike Piazza were playing?

To expand on it as well - think of it as wrestling. The audience and the wrestlers themselves knows that they are playing up a character - but seeing the Undertaker return still hypes you up, even if you know it might be scripted.
It also provides an anonymity which many people can appreciate - hearing about all the stalking cases and harassment cases of male and female streamers, it’s a welcome change to have a public figure that can be so open without needing to be worried about their identity.
As an added bonus, some of the vtubers in Hololive has actually had a much bigger presence before they came into hololive

@@0Qualit Mm well the kayfabe thing isn't universal as there are indies who do show themselves and with stream without the avatar at times. That's usually just company Vtubers like the ones in hololive and often former company vtubers. Also wanna add that you saying it's like they're doing an act is a little misleading as while they'll occasionally lean into the character lore, they are MORE often just being themselves while they stream. It's not really scripted unless they're doing a bit or a promotion or anything like that.
Appreciate the efforted assist, but I do think sticking to what what Vtubing is at the heart of it--just live streamers who use trackers to move an avatar model instead of a webcam--can explain it better than listing the ways certain companies promote or sell their talent. Especially since you can literally take this live stream, take away the webcams and replace them with virtual avatars and viola--they're now Vtubers who follow the Dodger's. Which I lowkey wish existed just because why not?

I agree with Scott that the team has to stop leaving top prospects at OKC. Either bring them up or trade them while their value remains high. I hope the latter is in play with the trade deadline nearing. Go Dodgers!

The night of Will Smith, after struggling recently, and a day off the night before, he was due to get back on track, he did more than that last night, wouldn't predicted 3 homers, but it helps to come up huge.

You guys need to realize that the star of this ballgame on Friday was the amazing Will Smith!

If Jeff was here, he would be fully enthusiast over Will Smith, since he admitted in the past that he's a Will Smith guy.

Remember when Will was slumping pretty badly? Well I don't.

Ohtani to left field and Vargas to permanent DH. Hernandez moves to right. Bring Jack Dryer up, he's lights out

I would disagree that will Smith has been slumping. All you can do is hit the ball hard, Smith has been doing that. Several balls have been caught at the wall. Not knowing where the ball is going to go is part of baseball.

The Dodgers should trade Glasnow but probably couldn't find a trade partner .

No way, he's one of our top starters, plus we need him to be at his best, especially with Yamamoto being out, and waiting on Clayton to comeback and some of our relievers to return in the pen.

@@rumarspencer7302 He doesn't have the control or the movement to be relied upon. He lives high in the strike zone ,and when he misses his spots which is often,it's a straight heater right down broadway and a souvenir for some fan beyond the outfield wall.

@miketaylor7023 Sure he struggled, all pitchers do, but he's one of them that's gone be in our rotation come October, I still trust him, I'm confident that he'll get out of it, no one's perfect.
