Dodgers need to start looking into the future at 3B. Everytime muncy starts to get his bat going he gets hurt and it's back to square one. I'd rather to turn to a prospect or look at a replacement.
Max has been a model of durability until this injury, going back 5 or 6 years - 135+ games every year besides the COVID exception. Why do I get the feeling you go through life talking out of your @ss?
Yes, and Biggio isn’t the answer. Everyone is worried about the SS position or getting another outfielder, but they should focus on an elite 3rd baseman, that can hit. Get er’ done.

Hoese has improved, but I believe Lipcius' bat would translate better. Hoese has performed much better this year in the minors but I also believe he would be overmatched in the big leagues as of now.

Max Muncy was the worst 3rd baseman last year, check stats, worked on defense lost weight to play that position a little more widely. Truthfully he’s not a 3rd baseman. Miguel Rojas better at 3rd and better batting avg. and strikes out below 10% to Muncy plus 30%. Good trade bait for quality pitcher or another offense player without depleting our young players.
Alan Trejo he was third baseman for the Rockies. Why can’t we use him there?

Alan Trejo WISHES he could hit like Taylor. Dude has zero pop and is hitting .140 in MLB. Lipcius would be up but he plays worse defense than Vargas. Horse could be an option. Highly regarded prospect that fell out of favor, was often injured and is playing really good baseball right now in OKC. Hitting for average and has power. Decent glove

Muncy is pretty valuable because of his power, OB %, and affordable contract. If you trade for a 3rd baseman, there's nowhere to put Max when he comes back. He can't play second with Betts at short, 1B is out, and DH is out. The Dodgers already have a MASSIVE payroll. They can't trade for a new all-star every time someone gets hurt.

So many teams have needs very much like the needs of the Dodgers, and let's face it. There isn't much available when it comes to starting pitching and infield help. Because of that, teams like the White Sox are asking for way too much in return. I hope the Dodgers are smart enough to not fall into traps like this for players who really aren't worth the asking price. However, I don't have much faith in the Dodger front office to do the right thing.

they need 36hr to cover 3b if Muncy is questionable until Sept.....filling in the blank with Joe and his Mama is pretty ridiculous for the Dodgers.
LOL what about his 36 errors or his 2 of 3 AB strikeouts. Or the fact he can't sniff goof LH pitching. Muncy is below MLB average in every stat but HR's. And he doesn't hit HR's when the team needs them.
Muncy just signed a 24 million $ contract. Dodgers aren’t going to give that away. He will be back.
