I absolutely love the natural finish rims, makes the bike for me, beautiful bikes overall. I would rather ditch the auto oil, and mix my own, for me that is not at all a hassle, especially considering the peace of mind.
This review makes me wonder why the Gas Gas brand exists. The name makes me think the resale value will not be the same as a KTM or Husky. Maybe the stickers peel off and a person could rename their bike. Maybe a more professional-sounding name like "Rons red Rocket Bike""Are the three brands built at the same factory? It's probably a really nice bike minus a few parts that come on the KTM.
Ktm is the parent company, Husqvarna is the luxury model, ktm is the middle child, and gasgas is ktms previous year. Gasgas is about $1000 less expensive than ktm.

I like the color over last 20 years of riding orange, but really don't relish going back to a linkage and brake downgrade is probably not worth the savings...those are my two biggest hesitations on gasgas. Interestingly same Braktec brakes as Husqvarna (and linkage)...so, not sure how that makes Husq the top end and gasgas low with KTM in middle.
Husqvarna says they have the lightest frame with the composite subframe.. Idk, I bought the gasgas because it was less expensive compared to both models. The bike has oil injection and has performed flawlessly. I only notice the wheels when I'm off the bike lol.
Crap fork, crap brakes, meh wheels, meh triple clamp, no map switch, no PDS...for $700 savings, not even close to worthwhile. They increased the price so the gap is less while downgrading vs KTM. I have a 22 GasGas EX300, only difference was the wheels, triple clamp, and handguards i wouldn't want anyway. Saved $1500. Now, makes no sense to buy a GasGas.
$600 difference right now on retail for EC450, and FWIW, KTM isn't including map switch either and both seem to have same triple clamp. PDS vs. linkage and brakes are biggest bummer for me, though the braktec brakes *seem* to be the same as what is on Husqvarna, so????
@@jeffmcclain Husky has always had crap brakes. They had Magura for a very long time, and those suck. Braketek is better than Magura, but not as good as Brembo. My '22 GasGas has Brembo all around. My KX450 has Nissin which are strong but don't have as good of feel/feedback. As far as the triple clamp, KTM is billet and GasGas is forged. Way too many sacrifices for $600 savings now. Other thing is resale value. KTM is much more desirable on the used market, so factor that in and the GasGas is a more expensive bike to own.
The price difference imv is a joke, looks like they bought the line just to have the market not to offer something different. I would buy the Gas Gas over the others though due to the great looking natural finish rims, as opposed to black rims.
I bought a KTM but I looked at the Gas Gas and wow they look so sharp,of all three the Gas Gas are pretty.
I have a question: I believe I read that they redesigned the shape of the levers. Did you notice anything?

I bet that once the existing production stock of Explor forks is used up the GasGas will switch to the new fork. Waste not, want not.
Isn't the U.S getting the EX models (comes with CC forks) ?
Yes, these were just the headlight enduro models. The EX and MC models are closely related and will be in another video.

I currently have very bad gasgas

Brakes are ok,kinda the pot metal line but they work,they had these 2024 deep discount .
