      "Rock & Roll Never Forgets." - Bob Seager. You're not too old to rock out until you're dead and in the grave, and even then a little head-banging if AC/DC comes on is still allowed.

    No disrespect to anyone but as a young man from Melbourne Australia that followed AC/DC from pub to pub in the late ‘70s, the Foo Fighters have come closest to the raw atavistic energy of a very beloved part of my youth !

    Highlights the magic of ACDC where only Malcolm & Angus are on guitar but still pulled off a huge combined sound

    • @datamasked623
      @datamasked623 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +19

      Malcolm Young is probably the best rhythm guitar player in rock history. I can't think of anyone who comes close, honestly. James Hetfield, maybe. Malcolm was an atomic clock. You couple that with solid drums and bass and it will always sound 50 times bigger than just 3 dudes in the rhythm section. like 80% of Angus' job was rhythm playing, too, though. AC/DC is/was just such a complete band. They played rock solid with no mistakes ever.

      One of the biggest bands in the world though. Grohl's band has done it all themselves with no real 'help' from an industry that just doesn't market rock bands, nor would he 'whore' himself out in that way. Grohl doesn't have to be a virtuoso guitarist, most rhythm players aren't. He gets on and writes excellent songs.

    A cover should always be either exact, or totally different. This is exact, except for the sound of the singing voice which I will not hold against it. Nobody will ever sound the way Bon Scott did, but this effort is as respectfully close as it gets. Truly an amazing tribute.

Dave almost sounds like Bon in some notes, and no one held back, they all smashed it out and man, I hope this makes an album because it's fucking wicked. Foo's are really close to the top of my favourite bands, probably second behind Motorhead, and because of Dave Grohl, I got into Motorhead so I respect the hell out of all those guys, and their ability. Doc Darkness Brian Setzer did a pretty interesting version of this song live. This is definitely more to the original, but the Setzer one is cool too.

    That's the way to do a cover.....if you can't do it as well, or even add to it, then simply don't bother, but the Foo's do all of that and more - they add love and appreciation and understanding of a truly great band - AD/DC. Awesome musicians in their own right, all of them..... God Bless you Taylor, an absolute legend, as a drummer, singer and family man. ❤😢😢💔
