I have all his books and read all them-- Modern Ethiopian History, The Modernizers, Society, State and History, The Quest for Socialist Utopia and Documenting The Ethiopian Students Movement…..this dude’s books are unbelievably glorifies the Northern Ethiopian history!! His books are not a people’s history…. Especially, he marginalizes the role of Oromo history and culture and he, in one of his writings, he scornfuly and with slurs accusing Oromo intellectuals for creating history instead of writing history !! His unmitigated anti Oromo canards are noted by those of us who’ve studied and researched our people’s travails in the Ethiopian empire!!
