How to play fingerstyle guitar lessons 6, Everybody Hurts by REM. This is a detailed guitar lessons for beginners that teaches you how to play Everybody hurts by REM on the guitar. This is the sixth part of the fingerpicking guitar course, and in this guitar lesson we learn our first commercial tune. This guitar lesson mainly consists of the P i M A M i fingerpicking pattern and the chords are quite basic, this is a good tune to learn as a beginners lesson.
This video is part of a complete guitar course in fingerpicking guitar that will continue over the next few weeks. If you follow this cause in order you will find that these easy guitar lessons are perfect for beginner guitarists. If you want to learn how to play the guitar properly, use our easy guitar lessons and guitar course to learn how to play the guitar.
Fingerpicking style guitar is used in virtually all styles of music and therefore is really useful to learn. Whilst finger picking guitar is most associated with acoustic guitar you don't need to learn fingerpicking guitar on an acoustic guitar as it can sound just as good on an electric guitar. Fingerstyle guitar is used in classical guitar, folk, bluegrass, rock, blues, jazz and virtually any style of guitar you can mention.
This is a series of carefully designed progressive lessons that will carry you through from an absolute beginner on the guitar to a good level of proficiency in fingerstyle guitar. The GCH Guitar Academy guitar lessons are published to TH-cam on a weekly basis just as if you were having private lessons but with the advantage of having the guitar lessons exactly when and where you want them. This gives you time to practise the lessons on your guitar between lessons so that you get the most from each guitar tutorial and achieve your goals as a guitar player.
You will need some basic knowledge of guitar chords to do this course and basic knowledge of how to read guitar tablature so therefore I recommend you view the following 2 videos before starting on this guitar course.

Another truly incredible lesson! The choice of Everybody Hurts seems particularly apropos from a musical education standpoint, as playing this composition is a cathartic and poignant reminder of the joy of self-discovery which awaits each of us as long as we have the courage to keep pressing on. Thank you for sharing your incredible talents and making the world a brighter place!

During the first lock down I picked up the guitar and I learned the basics from TH-cam vds and my eagerness started to grow and I was always worried about the guitar theory, since it was hard to catch up. And ur vds helps me a lot learn from the order so thanks a lot 🙏

that's a good question. I personally do the strumming with my first finger nail. Some people play the fingerpicking section with a pick and some keep a pick on the guitar where it can be easily picked up. Unfortunately it depends on the guitarists preference . . 🤔

Thank you so much, I`m going to try all three different modes and keep at it until I master it, in the meantime I `m over the moon with the way you explained how to do the walk down to Em there is another song that I`ve been trying to learn for years with the same walk down called And the band played Waltzing Matilda by Liam Clancy and thanks to you I can now do the walk down, but having said that there is a lot of other complicated parts to this same song that I can`t over come, if possible is there any chance you might consider giving a lesson on this song. Thank you.

A question, when you see the repeat bar you play the section again. If you see x3 above the bar would you repeat first then play another three times (4 in total) or just play the three times as shown? (Does that make sense?). Many thanks.

Hello. Please tell me how to record the bridge in notes. I can't do it in Guitar Pro - it doesn't work for me. I understand tabs, but I can't write 6/8 notes. Can you tell me and teach me how to write it down in notes so that the rhythm of the tune is correct? I am interested in the 21:00-21:25 part of this video.
