Hi Amber, I absolutely love love love this song - I am so happy that you have done this tutorial. I also love it when you layer your songs with strumming and picking. It challenges those who want additional stretching, and the strumming is perfect for beginners! Your ability to break a lesson down into manageable chunks is awesome. Well done ❤ Beautiful song and lesson is just perfect ❤ your voice is incredible in this song because of the feeling and emotion. WOW!!!!

Hi Schalk 😊 that’s awesome! So glad you enjoyed the tutorial! I had a fun time teaching this one 😃🎵 yeah I bet it must sound stunning on a 12 string- full!! Yeah we are keeping well thanks! Hope you are too ⭐️
Another fabulous tutorial! Thank you. I’d like to make a suggestion for a future tutorial. What do you think about doing “Killing me Softly” by Roberta Flack?
Well-structured, especially for (near) beginners. As for myself, I watched this despite knowing how to play the song, just in case I might have missed something subtle. While I‘m here I might add I have a personal preference for not playing that Am after the bridge as a full Am, but rather minus the 1st finger. Maybe somebody will also like that. And I don‘t know if I‘m alone in this, but a far prefer to watch tutorials that play the song up front (or at least the intro, first verse and first chorus or so) so I can decide before watching if the final result is going to be what my ears are hearing in the original (more or less). Many times, teachers actually get stuff wrong, and it‘s frustrating to watch for quite a while before discovering I‘m not interested in learning the song exactly as presented. Playing the song up front also gives us the chance to enjoy the song a bit, and to also make sure we‘re actually getting taught the song we thought we were. ;-) (There are songs that share the same title.) Hope something in here might prove helpful, and if not, please disregard. :-)
Hi Scott, I’m glad you enjoyed my lesson! I appreciate your honesty and feedback. I know that my tutorial format is not for everyone. I think it appeals to the absolute beginner because they do not feel overwhelmed from the onset of the lesson. Teaching one step at a time to finally create the bigger picture gives my learners that feeling of ‘wow I can do it!’ And not clicking off the lesson because it might seem too hard. Hope that makes sense 😊
@@thestellarguitarist Thanks for sharing the rationale behind your chosen approach. In this world of vast TH-cam possibilities, looking around for tutorials on certain songs can be a rather time-consuming and annoying process, perhaps even for (some) beginners. But of course this only applies to beginners who don‘t already know (or subscribe to) your channel, for they will already have recognized you as a good teacher. As for the others who don‘t yet know you and the quality of your teaching, I figure they might not stick around too long to watch the majority of a tutorial in order to hear it all pieced together. But I suppose I‘m repeating myself, and certainly everybody‘s mileage may vary, so more power to ya and your channel! :-)
