I just found your floss tube so I went back to the beginning to watch all of them. So funny that you were showing your Stitchy Stars just as I was finally finishing mine. I love the quilt with the 9 patch border. I have a quilt that has been sitting on the shelf for more than a year because it needs a border and I think those 9 patches would be perfect. Thanks so much for sharing all of your projects. 😊
Learned about your channel from Nicole Spohr so I'm binge-watching now to catch up! It's not surprising that the fabric you used for the floral project bag in the 70s colors reminded you of your childhood --- that fabric line was the one designed by Maureen McCormick (Marsha from The Brady Bunch) a couple of years ago. I have a couple of prints from the line (I'm a 1 year cross stitcher but a longtime quilter) and want to make bowl cozies out of them! PS: Even two years late seeing this, I HAD TO go download the "Grape Crush" pattern and lucked up since Quilting Daily was having a pattern sale, LOL!!!
Just started watching your flosstubes so I’m catching up but I absolutely loved hearing you talk about the glenwood canyon. That’s where I grew up and it’s so rare to hear someone talk about grand junction or the canyon (especially the relatable aspects of the mid slides and roads being closed) since so many people only think of Colorado as Denver in mountains 🤦♀️
no.. I sure don't have anything from my early days.. I wish I did!! And I also X in a different way than I did in the 80's! yay, I am not alone. lol i have to turn my volume way up on your videos... not sure if you can do anything about it, just wanted to let you know....I also have to use aida and I love it...I use a magnifier ... I didn't enjoy the linens although they are beautiful.
I am sorry about the sound. When I pull it up it seems to be fine. That is so weird. I will ask someone if I can do anything about that. Do you have your sound turned up on the actual screen for youtube? Not just your device? Glad to hear someone else changed directions with their x's!
Added the Flea Market Flowers to my wish list - I think I’m craving colorful things as it’s finally spring in the Midwest. Have you seen the Flea Market Baskets, too? Also really cute!
I cross stitched in the 80s and 90s. Was quite prolific. At least 20 projects given as gifts. After a hiatus of 25 years I restarted June 1, 2021. Now I want all of the patterns and fabrics and flosses! I have Aida cloth with $1 stickers on it. How times have changed!
Loved your video! I have to say I watched your newest video yesterday & loved it so much I thought I’d better start at the beginning 😊 I thought you guys were sisters or best friends 😂😂 how awesome for you guys to both enjoy the same craft😊 best of luck to you ❤
I do 14 count aida and DMC. I am 80 yrs old so aida enables me to see better plus little lights from fat quarter shop that fit on my glasses. The price of aida and DMC fits my retired budget. I stitch with round 6inch hoop. I make quilts and project bags with plastic on front I love mostly Blackbird to stitch. I sew double folded wide bias tape around the sides of my aida for comfort--- I get bias tape at joanns with coupons. Thanks to my grandmothers I have these skills. You are doing so great on your youtube.
What a great idea with adding the bias tape! I will have to give that a go. I learned to quilt from my mom and grandmother. I LOVE Blackbird. So nice to meet you, and thanks for all your suggestions!
I love that you hold up things for a long time. Some people just hold things up and not to long. Don’t really get to see things. Hope that makes sense.
The patterns you were showing and thinking were your mother's wallpaper. There were sheets in the 60s and 70s that were those patterns had them on my bed as a kid. Maybe they were on your bed?
That was such a relatable moment when you had a vague recollection of your childhood kitchen(?) wallpaper. I've done stuff like that. "Why am I so drawn to this ?" Then I realize it's probably something connected to a good memory.
Love watching your videos! You have some great projects going on. And OMG! You just cost me $20. I HAD to buy that quilt book after seeing that quilt. That thing is beyond gorgeous! I am retired and I have a hard time finding enough time to work on everything I want to do. I admire you ability to accomplish so much AND work. Have a great week and we will see you in your next video!
Enjoyed your floss tube - thank you for sharing :) I need to look for that Dapper quilt pattern; just love how yours turned out. Love all your project bags!
Bonnie, curious as to the fabric you used for Garden Fresh Quilt. It turned out beautiful. I have Jason’s books and love his fabric collections but plan on using fabric I already have. Some of the fabric you used looks like Tilda fabric.
I just found you - this was a fun video to watch and see your stitch and quilt projects. Thanks for sharing! On your Garden Fresh quilt - what was the fabric line you used ?? It’s Gorgeous!!
Thank you so very much! The fabrics were from Lecien, Memoire A Paris. The shop is CurlyGirlCrafter www.etsy.com/shop/CurlyGirlCrafter?ref=seller-platform-mcnav
So fun to watch you videos...where did you get the cute scissors??? I need them!!! Your bags are adorable. I bought material to make a couple and just need to find the time to make them. Having a job sure gets in the way sometimes...LOL
Thanks for joining me. The job thing is a problem for sure. But I need more $ for more projects! Check my etsy shop CurlyGirlCrafter, I have them their!
This is the tutorial I started with. After I knew how to make it, I changed the size depending on the fabric I had. :) th-cam.com/video/9g-AgacaHT0/w-d-xo.html
We try to post a new flosstube every month! If you subscribe to our channel and turn on notifications you’ll be the first to know when we post a new video!
I can't quilt much less sew but that Riley Blake kit is so fantastic. Do you by chance remember where you got it? I would love those fabric pieces as backing for some of my Halloween pieces. Loved your video and those bags are great. Are you considering doing custom work? So if a customer wanted to send you fabric you could make a bag for them? Asking for a friend. :)
I work for a wholesale company that sells this fabric. So I am not sure who would have it. However, I have ordered the orange print on a bolt. Are you interest in that fabric at all? I could get it up on my Etsy shop if you are.
@@UnfinishedStitches I am more into the Halloween fabric so I'll keep looking. I will keep a look out for your Etsy shop and those cute wooden needle minders.
@@ohgeestitchery5432 The orange is a Halloween fabric. The line is Halloween with sewing stuff in it. Also, I can get you a fat quarter bundle of those fabrics. It would be $68, let me know and I will put it up on Etsy if you want it!
@@UnfinishedStitches I will let you know. By the way, the link you have in your description does not lead to your Instagram account. You might want to update that for future viewers.
I have had one other person tell me that. I am not sure why some have a problem and some don't. I can not change the video, but I do have something to try for next video. Thank you for letting me know and I am sorry about that.
I love to hear that you have a pair of scissors ✂️ in every bag with every project because that is exactly what I do too! You are a kindred spirit.
❤️ hehe!

That was a fun one to make, grape custh! Yes, that fabric has a place in my heart.

Right! When I have traveled to other states and they hear I am from Colorado, they think Colorado is one big mountain!
Loved the video and loved the Primitive Gatherings project...so pretty

Hi I just found you so I will be catching up on all your videos.
Glad you enjoyed our video! Have fun!
Enjoyed you video! Any way you could increase your volume? Mine is up all the way but the volume fades and I can't always hear you.
I just did some research and I figured out away to increase volume to new videos! I am sorry. Thanks for watching and struggling through the sound.
Love your floss tube cross stitching and quilting is the dapper quilt made from a jelly roll and is the Sashing A grey grunge ? Thanks
Thank you! Yes, it was made from a jelly roll. I do not think it was a grunge, it came in a kit but it looks softer than a grunge.
Another very enjoyable episode! 🤗
Thank you for your kindness :)
Like your project bags!
I love making them!
