Thanks for answering my question about the work Madison is doing with the fruit flys. I can see why your mom is proud of your accomplishments. Good luck in finishing your PHD.
I have always started I'm the middle. Been stitching since 1975. I thoroughly enjoyed your video. I did it last year. But had company this year. Congratulations!
Oh wow! You have a great job going to quilt shops and such to sell your wares. So cool. I watched you ladies last year when you did this 12 x12. It looks so fun but yeah there is prep before but still cool. Love watching you two. And Madison, congrats on your soon to be doctorate. So cool and mom is so proud. Best to you both in this new year.
I love your show. Even though I am a quilter , I get so many good ideas about color choices and project management ideas. I especially enjoyed your 12x12 video.
What a cute idea for a floss tube 12X12. Loved seeing your patterns and stitches. I did not do the 12X12 because my grandkids come ring in the year with me. Love the information too. Enjoy your time together.
Thank you for watching, we sure had fun with our 12 new starts! Sounds like you still had a great start to the new year with loved ones. Happy New Year!
I love the format you did for 12x12. It was fun to see you share a project each hour and to hear some of your tips and a little bit about your personal life. I admire the relationship you have with each other. You’re so respectful, kind and patient. Thank you for the continued inspiration you give.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed all our new starts! Thank you, we are best friends and just enjoy spending quality time with one another. It's a plus we also both love to cross stitch and be crafty!
I was scrolling through TH-cam and discovered this channel….and then a few episodes later, I happen to look from my stitching and saw Madison and thought….”I know her!” I’m Abby’s (from KD/CSU) mom. ❤ What a fun surprise! Congratulations on finishing your PhD! Quite an accomplishment! Love your videos!
Love the project you guys picked. Didn’t get much stitching done my kids like to hang out at our house on New Year’s so they don’t have to drive anywhere. We had a big crab leg dinner and watched football. Liked seeing what you got done hour by hour. See ya soon.
You guys are a hoot! I can always tell when y’all are getting tired. Bonnie switches to glasses! Love all your projects. I have no qualms about starting new things either. I’m older and why not enjoy what I stitch. What an accomplishment, Madison, to be getting your PhD. Congratulations and the emotion on mom’s face said it all🥰.
Haha, glad you enjoyed our giggles. It's hard to stitch for 12 hours and not get tired! Glad you enjoyed all our new starts. We love that mentality! Stitch what you want! Thank you for your kind words, it's been a long journey!
I had a cat named Gus and I currently have a cat named Bonnie. I don’t pregrid but I definitely need gridded fabric for my Heaven and Earths. I caught myself almost having to frog if it wasn’t for the lines.
I LOVED this video!!! Thank YOU both!!!! I got confused! I thought 12 x 12 was on New Year's DAY!! Nope!!! EVE!!!!! I wasn't ready anyway, and the thought of 12 new projects was daunting only because I don't have enough stash in linens to pull from...yet! Nex year, I have to join in on this!!! My issue right now? We moved into a new home, brand new, and I want some Samplers to hang on the walls! It looks like a country cabin in here, and Samplers are missing! Lol!!! I am mostly stitching monogamously for now to get them done as fast as I can! Success there, yay!!! We;'ve really only been in here a month, so I have to give myself credit for starting and finishing Strawberry Fields Forever! Yay! Now I'm doing Earth Laughs in Flowers by HappyMoodPoint. Both will be hung on the walls somewhere after I find frames! I'm dying to start A Floral Sampler! I need to order it first, lol!!! I will be starting other smalls as well, I have a few fridge magnets or that will be magnets after I turn them into them! They are a chicken and a sunflower! I have more planned! This was FUN!!! Thanks for recording this!!!
Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed it! 12x12 takes some time to prepare for, we start in early December! Hopefully you can join in next year once your house is settled and you've built up your stash! Madison started Strawberry Fields Forever last year, it's such a cute pattern. Sounds like you have lots of good stitchy plans for 2024! Happy New Year!
So much fun watching you two. I am taking up crosstitch after a 40 year gap. Im inspired to choose a project after binge watching a few of your floss tube videos.
Y’all were fun to watch!!! Wish I could have done 12x12 but I had to work both Sunday and Monday - no time for the weary- but I enjoyed watching both of you!
Hi ladies! Happy New Year! I watched this video and your latest previous one. I love the projects you’ve chosen and what a good start. I enjoyed the posts very much and have added many to my list. Have a great stitchy 2024. Congratulations on your academic achievements, Madison! 🥳🪡🩷
That was so fun-loved this format of sharing every hour with each new start! I chose to start and work on one project from 12 to 12… Halloween at Hawk Run Hallow! I started in the center block and got the cauldron, flames, witches hands/sleeves, the steam over the pot and the bat and frog they are throwing into the pot during that time, and was just as delirious at the end of it! 🤣
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching! We considered that, it's a great idea! Bonnie has started Halloween and Hawk Run, and Madison would love to start it! You made some really great progress, awesome job!!!! What a good way to end 2023. Happy New Year!
You guys are adorable…. I enjoyed every minute of this video and really appreciated all the hard work you put in with the prep and filming every hour! You cracked me up as the evening progressed and you became even funnier by the hour 😂 Happy New Year xx
I always look forward to seeing your TH-cam episodes. I’m happy you have a dedication to stitching on Aida. I have tried evenweave & linen 😅 tuff and slow. Quick question…. Where can I find a self-standing hoop like yours? BTW…Congratulations Meghan on your upcoming defense to complete your PhD.🎉 I know your journey has been a bit long. I’m so proud to hear of your upcoming completion of your degree. My daughter completed her PhD in December 2021 and I know about the long and hard work it takes to complete this degree. Congratulations 🎉
It has been a long haul! And congrats to your daughter! Lot's of hard work! In Bonnie's etsy shop there is a double hoop that we use! See her link in the description box.
Oh my, that was so much fun! You two have so much fun in your videos! Congrats on all those starts I can't wait to see the progress on some of the small ones. Happy Stitching and looking forward to the WIP parade! Happy New Year!
So fun to watch you two, thanks for sharing! I love how your fabric turns out when you spray it, mine never turns out very good. Would you consider doing a tutorial on how you do it? Thanks again and way to go to Madison on her PHD!
I also like how you did your video too. It's, also, neat how you are mother and daughter. I have two daughters and neither one is interested. One of my daughter's said if she had time to sit down, she would be reading a book.
Hiii again!!! 🩷💚😊 What an exciting job, Bonnie!! You both are so fun! Congratulations, Madison on your prestigious, PhD!! 🪄 What an exciting way to start 2024!! ✨ Love your new starts! 🩷🤍
I love the way you did your video. I'm excited about your starts and watching your progress in 2024. By the way, Happy New Year🌠 It was almost as fun watching all your beautiful Project bags.
Great video and happy new year! You are both rock stars! I tried 12 x 12 also and had to chuckle bc my 12 include itch to stitch, autumn at hawk run hollow, an alphabet from ooh la la and a prairie schooler pattern!
Congratulations Madison, a very impressive achievement! How can you see the effect of the bacteria on those tiny flies??? Microscope I suppose (microbiology being the name of the game). I haven’t watched your channel from the beginning and I was convinced you two were sisters!
Thank you so much!! Yes, we use a microscope, but we can also use tiny beads to crush up the flies, and then we put that on growth media, which allows the bacteria to grow and we can then see it with the naked eye!
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! You two had too much fun with this twelve by twelve! I enjoyed all the starts and restart projects! Happy New Year!
I’m with you on those Dot’s pretzels, Bonnie. Genius to start new blocks on some of the bigger projects as a new start for 12x12. Happy New Year! Safe travels, Madison!
I love your trash panda bag! Bonnie, did you make it? Madison, congratulations! Are you thinking you'll stay in the Baltimore area, or just wherever a great job is available? So fun seeing what you accomplished in 12 hours!
Thank you, yes Bonnie made her trash panda bag. I will probably stay in the Baltimore/DC area but we will see! Thanks for watching our craziness! Happy New Year!
So enjoyed this video. You two are my all time favorite people to watch. Congrats Madison on your PhD. What an accomplishment and you need to be so proud of yourself. Thank you for the wonderful starts. One question, how long do you cut your floss? I like longer threads so was wondering how you did it. Thanks
Aww thank you, you are so sweet! You just made our day! Thank you, it is a big accomplishment! I'm very excited to celebrate all month long! Glad you enjoyed all our starts, we both usually cut our thread ~36 inches, and then fold it in half so we can use the loop method with two strand. So they end up being about 18 inches long.
I love that you use Aida cloth. Most of the other flosstubers use linen. I see that your patterns are usually on linen, do you need to do anything different to use the higher count of Aida?
@@UnfinishedStitches thank you! I found it and put my order in. I enjoy your floss tube very much, I love the relationship of mother and daughter. Congratulations Madison on your soon to have degree of PhD.
