Gone through this process a lot of times and it was cool to see someone else doing it, great content. Tip: use a shoe lace to tie a butt plate to one of these pin slot tubes inside the stock. Butt plate is prone to fall off by itself in the field, and you can easily lose it as i did.
I just did this with mine, but mine has the giant spring in it. I was actually replacing it with the "club foot" collapsible stock. Still plenty of room for the wire (but I likely can't use it on a field without changing it back). It was both harder and easier than I thought. Took a lot of wiggling to get the old stock off, then I kept either getting the wire pinched, or the spring's end caught on the edge of the receiver. I figured it would be a long project with lots of fiddling around with it, which is how I ended up here, but I got lucky. One solid smack with my palm and it clicked right into place. I wasn't expecting that.
Took mine apart today to try to fix my safety that wasn’t engaging. I screwed it back together right after fighting the spring and the ARL for awhile. The very back of it then wouldn’t fit into the pistol grip since there was a slight gap. I tried unscrewing it and putting it back together and one of the top Allen screws stripped 💀
@solidslicc707 Oh noooo! That sucks! Well one missing screw for the gearbox won't be the end of the world but yeah it sounds like something (maybe the piston, or spring guide) wasn't seated right.
@@HappysAirsoft I’ll definitely try again once my kit for drilling stripped screws comes in. Is it supposed to fit together snugly with no gaps to the point you don’t have to hold it down once it’s fully on all the way? It was quite a struggle for me to fight that spring tension to put it back on. I thought I did it the first time I did only for the ARL to fall out and through the hole the motor head goes into.
@solidslicc707 yeah it should fit together pretty smoothly. You'll still want to hold it in place before you put the screws in just to be safe but yeah there shouldn't be a gap between the shell halves
@@HappysAirsoft Sounds good, I’ll make sure I have the two halves fit snuggly the next time. Maybe I should pick up a magnet somewhere to keep the parts in place while I put it back together. It’s always a pain working on these guns.
@solidslicc707 yeah it's a massive pain keeping gearbox shell halves together when reassembling. I always just try to get top half on with the major components aligned. Then use a tiny screw driver to re-align anything out of place
I'm having a bunch of feeding issues with mine, have any tips or ideas of parts that could be an issue? Great video and nice to see a disassembly of this airsoft gun.
So I've heard of a few tricks 1. Change to a different brand of mags 2. Change the hop up unit out (I heard a Maxx can be made to fit in these) 3. Change the bucking 4. Change the nozzle. The biggest fix seems to be fitting an aftermarket hop up unit in it, or switching to different mags
@HappysAirsoft will definitely give it a try with the hop-up and bucking. What other mags would work? All I heard so far is the LCT mags are the only one that will work for it.
@nezrebethewhiteknight8147 ah so you're using the LCT ones. I've heard of people rigging the Matrix High Caps to work but that's it. Just suggested that incase you had found substitutes for the LCT ones that happen to suck lol. But yeah replacing the hop up unit and bucking can help too!
@HappysAirsoft I took mine all apart and the found the hop up to be messed up and also not setting right. So going to try a new one and see if it works. Then may end up trying another mag. But I do like mid caps lol. Thanks for the tips and will definitely try them out
@nezrebethewhiteknight8147 ah, yeah if your hop up is messed up and not seating properly, then that can definitely cause issues! Try fixing that first before switching mags for sure!

I appreciate the feedback! But yeah the tight tolerances make it a process for sure lol. And good to know about the butt plate!

@emanekaf145 Nice! Honestly, all LCTs are bit stiff on their first disassembly but this stock was definitely on tight lol

The two pins go in the stock... Sorry, that's how we learned it for the real steel one 😅
Any videos of taking the barrel off?
I have not taken the outer barrel off on one of these so sadly, I don't have one
