(Sorry spoilers) If you watched a single pale rose on tv when Steven comes out of pearl’s pearl Steven says “mom was pink diamond” amethyst says “whattttttt” garnet uncovers her mouth and the news causes her to unfuse and sapphire runs away crying.... on TH-cam if you watched the episode you missed all that... and it seems like he got the belief that garnet knew because he didn’t see that part that happened...
At the end, Garnet and Amethyst were like "whaaaaat?!!??!"

The funny thing is that I'm not mad at the crewniverse for their decision, I'm disappointed in Rose for her recklessness and immaturity, so I still believe this is a good direction for the show.

I don't believe Steven is fundamentally his mother. Physically he may be mostly or halve PD, but what she did was conceive an offspring and give up her physical form to stabilize his. He's his own person, he's just unfortunately unable to exist (for all we know) without his mother being part of him.

I honestly think people are reading to heavily into Pinks Motives. I definetly dont think it has to do with communism. When Pink came to Earth and noticed humanities individuality something sparked in her. Individuality isnt exactly a thing on Home World. And seeing beings that live just to live was something so new so inspiring that she wanted to leave that colony to the gems that were already there. Being a Diamond means you have litterally absolute authority over the gems in your clan. Gems litterally did not know of the concept of freedom before Pink Diamond set foot on Earth.

Honestly I think she just fell in love with Earth and wanted to protect it from her sisters, and even tried to undermine the efforts by fighting on both ends; she makes the strategies for the Diamond Side as Pink, but fights as Rose against them

The gems being on Earth over 5000 years ago doesn't really match with what we've been told about in regards to the kinds of human interactions they've had during that time period: meeting knights, having cities that are dangerous to gem armies, etc. So... maybe the gem war happened in the year 2000-ish, human civilization was destroyed, and then 5000 years later, human society has been rebuilt back to the standards of 2018?
Sean MacDonald human cities weren't dangerous, they were in the way. Pink just made excuses for not getting rid of them because she didn't want to. After homeworld left 5000 years ago, garnet, pearl, rose and eventually amethyst just hang around until present day, meeting all sorts of human characters

As amusing as it sounds, Pearl = White Diamond doesn't make sense to me. We saw in Garnet's flashback in Your Mother and Mine that White Diamond was with Blue and Yellow when they sent out that corrupting wave, while Pearl was behind Rose's shield. And yes, I know fully well that much of that tale was fabricated, but not that part. Garnet should know; she was next to Rose and Pearl at the time.

I think the human zoo probably predated the rebellion, when PD when first getting to know and understand humans. I see it as her first attempts to go against the other diamonds’ wishes of eliminating organic life by saving some of them.
I think you are right on that - it is her first action of interest in humans. Some time after that however she found that she liked the lives humans lived on their own.
Do you watch the show? She did it to save something precious to her. A terrible, naive way to do things. But done out of spite or love it was done.

That is true but the augment is there for the Diamond Authority being Marxist/communistic in nature every gem made for a job and every gem doing that job for the end of time, as gems do not age and can not die out side of shattering. While i do not compleatly agree with Rose Diamonds shatter my self plan she was vary vary young for a gem just a few thousand years old by there standards she was no older then 19 or so human years. I do agree that she was right to let gems find there own role to fill. I am more interested in what this means for Steven and his powers. will he learn to shift his gem into its diamond mode? will his fusions take on new diamond mode forms? How will this ripple in to the end of the show? did the REAL bubbled rose quarzts know about rose diamond double life? was that why they where all bubbled?

I think Pink did a great job by developing from little spoiled diamond to Rose and Steven, the symbols of love and responsibility. She abandoned her family to become someone capable to stand for what she thinks now is right, she lost a lot. It was a huge step, and now Steven will continue follow this path until he man up enough to speak with sisters once again as pink diamond. And it could probably deal with healing power and corrupted gems, esp if white is corrupted.
I genuinely feel that maybe there will be a meeting between many characters (Steven, Amethyst, Garnet, Pearl, Greg, Connie, Peridot, and maybe some others) about what to do and maybe Connie or Greg suggest that Steven undergoes an operation to have his gem removed in order to be freed from being chased by everybody. Steven at first is hesitant and there might be a "filler" episode where he contemplates giving up his gem to see if Pink will reform. Connie's mother may be the one preforming the surgery. This, of course, is just a theory, but I do think something similar may happen? Thoughts?
the flashback steven had on the moon showed rose "killing" pink diamond with roses sword, but it only cuts the hologram not the gem :p
The biggest clue was when Blue Diamond said she was slain by a sword, and as you know, Rose’s sword can’t shatter gems, only destabilize gems.

I look at it from a different view. In "Can't go back" Pink is rebuked by Blue Diamond. The Diamonds already have a pre-planned, pre-ordained, and pre-determined system for running and operating a colony world. They would NOT listen to Pink's input and talked down from her. They were telling he WHAT and HOW to run the colony rather than let her manage it HER OWN WAY. It is not impossible that Rose as described in "Your mother and Mine" was still Pink? And that the part where Rose addresses Pink was actually Pink addressing the other Diamonds as seen in "Can't go Back"? I take the view that she didn't want to abandon Earth (as she indeed did stay after all). She just realized that working inside the system was not gaining her satisfaction and so she created her alter ego in order to change it from outside the leadership structure.

Not including the summer promo, Garnet looked pretty surprised to me. Hands over her mouth is something I don't think we've even SEEN her do before.
Hmm, this episode really shocked me. For me, I think there really was a Rose Quartz in the beginning, seeing the beauty in the world and showed her Diamond this... But something happened. Rose/Pink had Bismuth make her a sword that can never shatter a gem and she locked Bismuth away after seeing her weapon that will shatter them, even a diamond. But why did she not want to destroy gems that wanted to destroy organic life... It leads me to believe that PD witnessed a gem get unjustifiably shattered or that she herself shattered a gem. My theory is that there was once a Rose Quartz and she showed PD the beauty of the planet... But something happened, most likely another Diamond, that forced PD to shatter her Rose Quartz for insubordination. Traumatized by this, Pink gathered the shards and hid them away and bubbled the other Rose Quartz as a matter of protection. Not wanting to see the colonization any further, PD developed her split persona, Rose Quartz, after the Rose Quartz she lost. For the quote “Don’t be silly... Rose Quartz isn’t real.”, my interpretation of that is the Rose Quartz Pink molded herself after no longer exists, was shattered and no longer real.

I feel like this video said absolutely nothing in its 8 minute time span. It's like he was trying to explain the show to new people who just jumped into the show and not explaining any of the real subject matter he was trying to cover. Like did he actually need to explain that Steven has a separate personality and is a separate person from Rose? Also, I understand what he was trying to get at with thinking that Rose wanted a communist society but, she didn't really. The other diamonds were the ones who assigned tasks based on skill, Rose basically wanted an anarchy where there was as little involvement as possible of the gem government on earth. I don't think it's a bad video, but it really didn't give any meaningful analysis on the recent episode.

I couldn't tell if you were kidding, but the Communist Manifesto came waaay after the gem rebellion. That, plus each gem being rewarded according to their work wasn't particularly part of Rose's philosophy. Gems don't even need to support themselves, cause they don't eat or have any other physiological needs.

It was already shown in the promo that garnet unfused and sapphire flipped out about the news. And pearl can’t be white diamond because she was on earth in the war with pink diamond when all 3 diamonds launched the corruption attack. Pearl most likely was given to pink as a gift from white to start her first colony since both of them are defective.
I think something that people might be missing with this whole reveal is that everyone saw rose as perfect when she isnt. We are are obviously missing something and i cant wait to see what that is. If this series is as planned as theybsay they are then i cant wait to see how they answer all of the question risen. Rose being pink is kind of cool in my opinion.

Steven is basically a fusion, not a reformed Pink Diamond. He is a seperate person
its possible the only thing stopping those Rose Quartz gems from being shattered is that they are in Pinks bubbles, since the Diamonds still want to keep her memory alive, they may not want to disrupt her bubbles.

Given the information now we are able to see how gray stuff actually are and how dark things can actually get.
Did Greg know she was pink diamond? If so why hide did he never tell Steven? If he didn't, how will he react to knowing the truth? How are they gonna tell Jasper? Lastly will she more likely decide to be a crystal gem now? She might even start to call Steven her "diamond" instead of Rose possibly.

I was shock to find out that the former leader of the Crystal Gems and Steven's mother turns out to be a Homeworld Gem.
I dont think pearl is white diamond because remember the clip where rose was protecting pearl and garnet from the diamonds? Whenever that happened you can see a white arm so that probably indicates that ahite diamond is not pearl.
What i do think is that pearl used to be white diamonds pearl. Because of her skin tone and how you barely see any pearls in the series except for the ones for the diamonds. And her gem is whiteish so there is a chance she rebelled with rose because she couldnt handle seeing white diamond do such cruel things.
Or either pink diamonds pearl because she was so emotional and clung onto rose so much like a normal diamond pearl would. And when pink diamond became steven she cried and sobbed like in the episode ahere she was holding onto herself and crying about how she is gone. And remember the episode about the court with Steven and how they said "how could the killer be so close to pink diamond in the first place without her pearl to help her and her body gaurds." And key word : without her pearl.
It could mean that pearl is pink's pearl because of how close she was with ranks to be even near her in the same room and they spoke about the thing they were about to do. And pearl being close and near pink diamond "shattering." Her.
Summary: pearl is not white diamond, and pearl could be pink or white's pearl.

1 - (I) review all episodes to find foreshadowings.
2 - Crystals gems will need to re-evaluate their concepts, principles, and how they approach things in relation to War Gem. Are they "traitors" for being loyal ... for a diamond? Very confusing situation in which they are. It's confusing even for Gemworld (if one day they will know it, of course).
pd probably bubbled the other rose quartzes because she had to fake "fear".
She might have made a scene where she was "scared" of the posibility of the rebellion of other rose quartzes. All of this could have been done to convince the other diamonds of the threat and make sure they wouldn't suspect a thing.
The only problem I have with your point about "Rose Quartz" being an alias, that there was never actually a Rose Quartz at all, is that in "That Will Be All" we see Yellow and Blue Diamond in a room full of bubbled Rose Quartzes.
Now that we know Rose was PD it makes Gregg even more of a stud, he charmed two diamonds. Had a child with Pink and charmed Blue enough she "saved" him before the cluster emerged. Maybe he should meet Yellow?
Anyone else thinking of how messed up this whole situation is to gems like Jasper, Bismuth and Lapis. Their lives were literally ruined by Rose Diamond's actions.

Pearl isn't White Diamond. When the Diamonds attacked Earth, White Diamond (with Blue and Yellow at her side) fired the shot and Pearl was with "Rose Quartz" and Garnet on the receiving end of said attack. To me, that theory is busted.
I think we were her playthings... she put so many of us in danger in her attempts to save us. she was too crazy to truly love us.
I have a weird feeling the zoo was kinda a failure. Giving the humans everything they want and making set schedules... It took away there individuality. Or maybe it was a test lets say she ruled the world is that the way she wanted to rule it at first giving everyone what they wanted and setting schedules. The world not being a paradise is what makes everyone special in there own way. but give everything to everyone .No one really is different from the rest.

I think that maybe the original humans in the zoo might have gone there by choice. It could've been that Pink was like "Hey, I love you guys, but my sisters and making me destroy your planet, meaning you'll all die. I'm making a zoo, so if you're cool with being kept in a place like that and you don't wanna die, I could take you there," and then some of the humans were like, "The tall pink space lady has a point, I'm out lol."

Yeah. I'm thinking the Human Zoo might have been her first choice in trying to save whatever parts of Earth she could. But she then decided it wasn't enough, and that she must devote herself to saving the whole planet.
The human zoo was a last ditch effort to preserve humanity. Rose could have failed, and the cluster could have formed.
I can see pearl being White diamond, because when she shapeshifted into Rose, she hid her gem using Rose's hair, so she might have done that with White Diamond's gem
It's gonna be hard to accept that Rose and pink diamond is the same gem
I thought that recently after rose was actually pink. I was like wait does that mean steven is pink now?!?
PD/Rose never had a concept of a societal system beyond homeworld. Blue told her to just smile and wave and the gems would just take care of everything. Pink originally wanted everything Yellow and Blue had in her debut episode, but acted like a child demanding candy because she was a newborn.
As time went on she clearly became fascinated enough with humans to want to preserve them, which was the purpose of the zoo. To keep them alive for when the earth was entirely strip-mined, thus making it uninhabitable for organic life.
But then fascination became obsession, so she shape-shifted to observe them in secret, and that led to compassion, which became love, and she realized the overwhelming value of the earth, not as resources, but as a home for living organic beings. And then she understood the value of all life and their need for freedom.
So she set out to protect all of that the only way she could think of.
By toppling the dichotomy of the her own authority and introducing absolute freedom!
Sure she COULD have rebelled against her diamond sisters as herself, but that's a 3/1 ratio against her with her being the weakest and most inexperienced. Plus the other diamonds have loads of soldiers at their disposal from all over the galaxy from numerous colonies to stop her. And she only had 1 colony
By faking her death, she terribly shook the faithfulness of gems everywhere who begrudgingly followed them. Many more gems switched sides to the crystal gems to find freedom. And because PD got poofed by pearl who shape-shifted as Rose, she could change her appearance indefinitely to stay as Rose Quartz forever and shoulder the burden of that war crime. After that, all she needed was to make sure she never poofed again by having Pearl at her side to protect her.
By having a Rose Quartz "shatter" Pink Diamond, she made the chances of the rebellion succeeding skyrocket, thus boosting morale so high that they won the war.
Unfortunately she had no idea of the immense power that the other Diamonds possessed. That they could launch a massive corruption blast onto the entire earth, consuming everything in blinding light. Were it not for her shield, she and her 4 followers would have all been corrupted and turned into monsters.
Oh and FYI, none of the gem weapons were designed for killing except the Breaking Point, which never even saw the light of day outside of Bismuth's workshop.
The only gems that shattered anyone were the Diamonds. Every dissenter was brought to them for permanent execution. And because of what Rose did, every other Rose Quartz was imprisoned for fear of them being just as defective as the one Rose who rebelled. But what is particularly interesting is the very fact they were not shattered. Blue diamond kept them bubbled, but Yellow alone wanted them destroyed. BTW the bubbles only appear pink because that whole room is pink. They are translucent blue bubbles.
Anyway there are tons and tons of clues scattered all across the show, as early as episode one. I suggest rewatching the entire show and keep an extra sharp eye and ear out for all of them
Anyone else wished that at the end of the episode Steven would look down at his gem to indicate it’s a diamond 💎
