Your natural hair has the potential to be soooo beautiful. It's thick and has so many beautiful nuances in it. You just need to care for it like the natural hair it is
I followed your technique but used slightly different products. I didn't have the little cap so I sat under a hooded dryer with cool heat. My hair is so silky and bouncy thank you!!!! I've never gotten my own hair this straight
Hi gorgeous! I'm a Wen girl and I had unruly hair from color treating and shampoo. I've used Wen for over ten years now. I have NO tangles and I don't need anything but my Ibiza brush and a blow dryer. Wen would make your hair amazing! Not that you're not amazing already! You can get it on QVC's site. All the Wen goodies are there. Chaz Dean uses all his own Wen products too.
That's amazing how your hair just transformed from unruly to sleek!! I have been trying to figure out how to get my wild curly 3c hair that sleek with a blowout (sans relaxer of course) and my hair never looks like this. Thanks for sharing! :)
I never knew how pretty your hair was :O it looks so much better then when its straight. I know its more upkeep but i wish you would rock your hair natural
my hair used to be exctly like yours at the beginning of the video.. very thick, full, coarse and there was so much of it that you couldn't see the scalp.. I used to hate it because it was so hard to manage and to deal with so I would brush it aggresively, use chimical products to straighten it, use a lot of heat, wash it often etc.. and I ended up damaging it. Now that I've lost a lot of hair. now that it's thinning, breaking and very damaged, I want my natural hair back. I really do, I don't feel like myself anymore with this hair. I want my thickness and my fullness back.. please if you had any kind of tips to bring it back, I beg you to help me. I would be really really really glad and grateful if you did.. lots of love
To everyone who's acting like Britany peed in your Cheerios: it's HER hair!! She should know if it's unruly!! I'm sure she (who actually has a degree) knows a bit more than you. And also it's her choice how she wants to wear it.
You make it look so easy! I have similar hair texture to yours but I gave up on straightening it mostly because, unless it's done by a hairdresser, it never comes out that smooth. It still just has the zigzaggy look. Now I have a giant fluff of what I call "muppet hair" and that's how I wear it. Either that or in a quick bun sort of a thing. 😅
My hair is just like yours (extra curly, little frizzy). If I blow it out (or get it done professionally), then it looks great..., but 3 days later back to blahh. Also, too much heat & flat ironing make it worse in the long run. I deep condition my hair..., use protein treatments weekly..., get bi-monthly trims..., even use my own home-made remedies..., but still have unruly, frizzy curls. I don't mind curly hair, as long as it's pretty. So I've been experimenting with various texturizers (liquids, creams, spritzes, oil-based, clay-based, dimethicones, and even cone free). I thought that texturizers would give greater definition. NONE OF THEM WORKED. Next, I tried curl enhancers (protein based, rice water infused, eggs, and even mayonnaise). NONE OF THEM WORKED. Ladies, tell me what works for you.
Curly/frizzy hair isn't unruly, and it can be managed. Please be careful on how you phrase that. Many curly/kinky haired girls grow up believing their hair isn't beautiful because it's been called unruly and deemed unmanageable, while straight hair is accepted. Both the before and after results of your hair are gorgeous.
richie mackintyre She just wanted to inspire some self esteem damn! This girl is gorgeous with both straight and natural hair, why you mad? Calling hair you're born with unruly/unmanageable might lead to damaged self-esteem that's all. Inspiring someone to feel beautiful with or without straight hair ain't a problem.
OhHeyThereWildThings Yes, i get the meabing behind what you are saying. But, to hold her accountable for how she chooses to do her own hair is wrong. You are making her responsible for unstilling values and self love into others when that can never be taught but learned internally. Dont tell her its wrong to have an opinion about ger own her and conform to your standard. Thats just as bad.
Her hair before straightening looks so hydrated! With Afro hair it can be so hard to lock that moisture in, my man has kinda a mixed textured hair like hers and it's so hard to keep it from getting dry and brittle!
Kristian Upper it actually isn't hard for some kinky coily hair to lock in mositure, it all depends on his porosity. Porosity is how well the hair is able to absorb water check out Naturallycurly.com for a better understanding
Both. I get my hair cut dry. If it's curly, I just brush it out into an afro and you can still see the shape. I work with really talented stylists :))))
My hair texture is exactly like yours omg!!! Im binge watching your videos because theyre so informative and previous to this i watched one where you said youve never come across anyone with your exact hair type and i havent either!! Ive never met anyone with the same hair type as me omg this is so weird but i love it!!!! Btw im mixed too my dad is black and my mom is white (though she has a lil bit of asian in her too as well as quiiite a bit of black, she has the same hair texture as me and you too!!)
Do you have any suggestions for avoiding dry scalp? A lot of times when I straighten my hair I notice a couple days later that my scalp is dry and sometimes it causes my hair to shed. Any products/ techniques you recommend ? @brittneygray
my hair is like this except i can get a comb through it without either breaking the comb or breaking hella hair. I honestly don't get why people are so offended by the term unmanagable/unruly. my hair apparently doesn't like being 100% natural either if it's easier to break whenever it is -_-
Leave your hair! Don't straighten it no more and it will grow and curl.. Leave it wet, use flexirods .. You're beautiful regardless but you can do more for your hair! . Use aphogee 2 step treatment no need to straighten your mane. Xx
Am I the only one who that unruly wild mane in the beginning was FIERCE? Yas honey...YAS.
IM IN LOVE WITH UR URULY UNMANAGEABLE HAIR LOL .. I LOVE IT .. LOVE THE COLOR THE CURL THE VOLUME ..
Thank you!
MakeUp Lover I have hair exactly like that but more tangled and really dry lol
Your natural hair has the potential to be soooo beautiful. It's thick and has so many beautiful nuances in it. You just need to care for it like the natural hair it is
is it me or is the unruly hair amazing? I love texture.
I like you hair so much better before you straightened it.
Xiaoyuwon she doesn't really care
I followed your technique but used slightly different products. I didn't have the little cap so I sat under a hooded dryer with cool heat. My hair is so silky and bouncy thank you!!!! I've never gotten my own hair this straight
To be honest, your "unruly hair" is beautiful. Straight or kinky, you are gorgeous!
WOW! I love your hair BEFORE!!!!!
You're so beautiful.......
Do a video on growing out your hair. I remember you were balding in some spots a few years ago. It's great to see that it grew back. :)

You've helped me manage my hair for yrs now (we have the same length and texture). Do you plan to grow out your hair?
Great tips on the bonnet and the Denman.

Girl bye... she said her hair is unruly not nappy? Wtf is the problem. Some people dont want to bother with that hair texture everyday.

Cynfinite You're completely right, I thought the same thing.
Cynfinite eh I mean it is unruly lmao I fuckin wish I had straight hair naturally would save me an hour of straightening lol
love this! You're one of the first people I've seen on youtube with a hair texture very similar to mine! very helpful (:
when she put the bonnet on and her face got covered LOL SO CUTE!
Finally found someone with my hair! 😭🙏😘thank you Lord!
What is the lipstick you're wearing?
At first, I thought you were using two flat irons! Hahaha! Great video! Congrats, Brittney!

I like the curly hair better 😌😌
Melanie Estrada but you have straight hair and don’t understand how hard it is to maintain curly hair
can i use this bonnet on wet hair and just dry them???
Yes✨✨
When you get a haircut, do you get it with your hair straight or curly?
Straight obviously
Both. I get my hair cut dry. If it's curly, I just brush it out into an afro and you can still see the shape. I work with really talented stylists :))))

Taya Elb hi her hair looks like type 4 which is beautiful kinky coily hair
@Brittney Gray i'm half caste too and have the same texture hair as you, i can't seem to grow it as long as yours tho :(
You're gorgeous, but that heat damage girl 😢😢 I'd have thought by your other videos that your hair health would be great.

Your curly hair looks cool as!
Makeup tutorial please!
Do you have any suggestions for avoiding dry scalp? A lot of times when I straighten my hair I notice a couple days later that my scalp is dry and sometimes it causes my hair to shed. Any products/ techniques you recommend ? @brittneygray

Sydnee Mikumuren try deep conditioning once a week and protein treatments once a week also watch @Greenbeauty she well informed about natural hair
Leave your hair! Don't straighten it no more and it will grow and curl.. Leave it wet, use flexirods .. You're beautiful regardless but you can do more for your hair! . Use aphogee 2 step treatment no need to straighten your mane. Xx
hannah capasso its her hair, please dont tell people what to do with their hair
