@@mbmars01what made you think there wasn’t? I mean yeah you have a job that is first and foremost, but you’ve worked so hard for this channel and the content you’ve created. Don’t give up on it.
@@drezdin4557 No worries, I do not intend to give it up :) But the frequency of uploads depends on many factors including the railroads running trains lol. The number of trains has massively declined almost everywhere, unfortunately.
Thanks for your video! I grew up in Abbeville SC many years ago when men either worked in the cotton mill or on the Seaboard Railway, as Abbeville was a crew change point. Many memories! Bob
It's good to see an update from you. We all really missed you. Wow this is a fresh video, only three days old. The weather was indeed perfect on this day, so I'm not surprised you went train chasing. The CSX blues are cool and the rolling stock variety is nice too. The locations are well known and great, just like the angles. Great video thanks for the entertainment.
I also missed you all. Unfortunately, without information from friends, it is almost impossible to catch a train on this line nowadays, if one doesn't want to spend unreasonable amounts of time on waiting for something to happen. I'm happy you enjoyed the video and thanks for the feedback, as always :)
I caught this exact train on Sunday afternoon in TULLAHOMA TN and it had CSX unit 449 behind the leader 7230 with the DPU in the middle. In the description you mentioned the short intermodal section, that is what got my attention. I thought it was odd to have the stacks in a manifest. 4:28
Thanks! Spotting these trains wouldn't have been possible without heads-up from friends, though. The traffic density is still very low here, unfortunately.
Welcome back, man! I know there was a pause in activity on your channel, but I just want you to know you and the legendary Danny Harmon are the inspiration for my channel! 07
Yep new member here just signed up this is the first video I've seen besides clicking on your a couple on your channel but I definitely enjoyed the video that last train you were following I'm assuming that was a call train but I have never seen them style Hoppers used I'm used to the ones where the whole bottom swings out.
@@mbmars01 It is your style of capturing the whole experience of a train passing. You video the rails, wheel sets, ties, surrounding scenery. Just like if I were standing there watching the train go by. Thank you!
Daily numbers fluctuated at all times because of quite a few unscheduled trains like coal and grain. Having said that the average number of trains in a 24-hour period was about 15 pre-PSR and is now maybe 5, give or take.
as of right now M692 and 3 have been shorten to Spartinburg SC and M652 and 653 are Hamlet - Russel Via West VA pretty sure all traffic will go via WV and VA
At least you're safe from the hurricane a lot of damage it by the hurricane it destroyed a lot of train tracks and destroyed most of the bridge in rail line
Yes, the hurricanes left a wrath of death and destruction throughout the entire southeast. Very sad. We were lucky, just a few trees fell and power went out for a while.
The legend returns after a 5 month break
Too much honor lol... But great to see that there's still so much interest in watching these videos.

You're welcome! Unfortunately, Abbeville doesn't have much of a meaning for CSX anymore. I think they even removed the depot.
❤Dank für Deinen hervorragenden Beitrag. Das war wieder ein Labsal. Andreas👨✈👍👍👍
Prima, ich freue mich, dass Dir dieses Video auch gefallen hat. Es ist etwas schwierig heutzutage, die Zuege zu finden.

Welcome back brother glad to see some more good videos
Good you still enjoy them. There would be more if the railroad was busier. Traffic levels are still low.

Looks like the grade struggles were handled very well by the power of the GEs lol.
Haha, barely. M583 almost stalled. Last time I saw a DPU work so hard was on the BNSF Southern Transcon in the Arizona mountains.
@mbmars01 Notch 8. The train was still moving faster than walking speed. GEs for win lol.
That's a good one lol

Very nice! Just to give you an idea, on this line we have gone from how many trains in the pre-PSR era to how many currently post-PSR?
Daily numbers fluctuated at all times because of quite a few unscheduled trains like coal and grain. Having said that the average number of trains in a 24-hour period was about 15 pre-PSR and is now maybe 5, give or take.
With the Erwin TN - Spruce Pine NC section of the Clinchfield out of commission, what routes will CSX use to move this traffic?
as of right now M692 and 3 have been shorten to Spartinburg SC and M652 and 653 are Hamlet - Russel Via West VA pretty sure all traffic will go via WV and VA
