Too bad Geodude lost early and we didn't really get to see it fight Hitmonlee. In a way, I think Geodude actually could've been a good match in the tournament, even though it's a Fighting Pokemon contest and Rock Pokemon are weak against that type. I mean, type advantage doesn't write the win in stone, and Geodude just needed to be more cautious, wary, and instinctive. It knows Mega Punch, Tackle, and Seismic Toss, and it stylishly threw Wheezing out through the blimp in that one episode. In fact, Geodude kinda looks like a fighting type, since it's strong and got that muscly pose and clenched fists. Who else agrees with my theory?
Also, would Electabuzz or Marowak have been allowed in this tournament, even though they aren't Fighting Types? They seem like the type in my opinion, considering the former's big, strong arms and the latter's martial artist looks, like its kicks and "bo(ne) staff". And again, Geodude was allowed in despite not being a Fighting Type, I guess since it still looked like the type with its toughness.
