How do you clean your coffee grinder? I take a handful of uncooked white rice and grind it to remove any debris, oils, and smells from previously ground items. I then brush it out and wipe it carefully with a wadded-up paper towel. (Remember to unplug, gotta protect those fingers). I got this tip somewhere years ago and find it works wonderfully for me.
Great tips! Have you ever come across those with detachable compartment that you can fully wash by hand or in the dishwasher? I bought one recently and it has made my life so much easier. Highly recommend.
I've been using baking soda, mostly to eliminate odours, but to clean as well. It is, however, a very fine powder already, so I need a small brush to clean out the edges, and if what I have been grinding has any stickiness or oils, it can get a little gummy. I will try the rice.
@@rayjack i forgot the name, but it is not a famous brand. I bought it online. It didn’t last very long, but it was convenient while it lasted. I don’t have it anymore. I believe in Europe they had detachable ones moulinex in my parents’ time back in the 80’s
I'm actually glad he addressed whether it can be done in a food processor. I'd probably be trying to and assuming I did something wrong if he didn't say something.
That second dish I would eat! Yummy! I was thinking of using the powder in the coarse ground form to make a kind of burger maybe. Adding cumin, Worcester sauce and minced garlic and onions and herbs. Of course add an egg to bond it together like ground beef? I can't wait to try it!
Wow! 🤯 I was just talking about this less than 24 hours ago. I love the flavor of mushrooms especially in the occasional meat alternative dishes I've been introduced to. Thank you! 😊👍
Can I freeze the mushroom powder ? And can you do more videos on more ways to use the powder ? Will try your noodle soup broth. Looks delicious ! Vegetable looks so delicious on its own 🥰
I live in the US. I love making my own chili garlic crisp Chinese style. What I can’t understand for the life of me is why we don’t have more mushroom powder or dried mushrooms in supermarkets?
Excellent job Sir...by chance other than a coffee grinder ..is there any other appliances that we have here in Trinidad that can grind ingredients into powder form. Thanks in advance.
So this cannot be used only from mushrooms you purchase dried already? I hoped to see how to make powder from any edible mushroom, as the headline was kept in a very general way. :-)
These dried mushrooms are a flavour bomb. Even if you soak it to use..save the water to use in dishes especially in chinese food.
Thanks for that tip! Will definitely try it

I would’ve never thought “coffee grounder”. Well done, sir.

I love mushroom powder. Thanks for sharing this recipe. I usually buy it.
I may be mistaken but I didn’t see a blade in the food processor. Never thought about mushroom powder. Delicious! Thank you.
Loved this!!! Thank you so much for this video. I gotta make me some of this 🍜
Wow, I love the recipes, very simple yet nutritious🙌
Mushroom gravy?…! Yes!
Love it! Thanks!
Hi Badawi, ingenious great idea. Thanks again.
If you have a magic bullet it MIGHT work to grind it decently. I use my bullet to make my oat flour, flax meal, etc. So I think it should work fine.
Perfect! Thank you for sharing.
Cool, if you could describe the smells and flavour that would be awesome 👌
Umami on a million, great idea!
Wow- great ideas, thank you.
That broth looks so yummy 🤤

Great idea
not sure i have ever seen dried mushrooms anywhere. thinking i might get to know some of my local ethnic markets!
Do you need to wash the dried mushrooms first before you chop them?
No. You want to make sure no moisture is introduced to this process.
So this cannot be used only from mushrooms you purchase dried already? I hoped to see how to make powder from any edible mushroom, as the headline was kept in a very general way. :-)
Can you turn this into seitan?
Not that we are aware
Umami bomb
💯💯🔥🔥
How much mushroom powder could I add to my pasta dough?
1-2 tbsp should be good!
Does it last a long time ?
Yep once you store it in an airtight container and a dry place it will last
