    Hi, just bought mine, July 2023, before its first use, should I charge it overnight as it says in the instructions?

    That plastic on top is covering the sensor for the nothstar cube, should probably be taken off or it might obscure it

    I've bought an 390t on eBay for 20€. The robot isnt 100% go straight forward, he is a little bit clixking sounds from mot8r but it works well.

    What is the use of that controller BTW? I would like to have more details on if it impacts the navigation of the robot and any tips around it?

    FYI, you definitely don't want to put vinegar or anything acidic in the reservoir. After a couple of years it will cause the adhesive holding the tread on the tire to dissolve and the tread will fall off. There is no cost-effective iRobot-supported method to repair it so, if you're out of warranty, you're stuck with buying a new one

    • @TechandDesign
      @TechandDesign  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's just a little vinegar with water, about 1 table spoon and the rest water. After a few years of doing this and not having any issues, I would say vinegar is safe.

    What does it mean when the unit is on and you push the wash button and it turns red instead of blue?

    • @TechandDesign
      @TechandDesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      red means low battery

    • @TechandDesign
      @TechandDesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The cleaning pad is broken after using it a few times. Don't buy this product to ensure that you will disappear in the future. I am one of the victims.

    • @TechandDesign
      @TechandDesign  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      how did the pad brake ? I have it over 1 year now and that has not happened and I don’t see how it could unless you drop it

    • @TechandDesign
      @TechandDesign  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      what was bad about it was the battery life, it only lasted about 7 months , than neeeded to buy new battery

    • @user-su1xk3mv2b

      I called iRobot and they sent me a new pad for free. I do have three Roombas -including one that is 13 years old and working fine- a Braava Jet M6, the Braava 240 and this one, the 380 T, so maybe they took that into consideration. I’ve had this model since it came out and have replaced its battery twice with inexpensive, third-party ones on Amazon. Each one has lasted at least a year, at about $24 per battery.
