- Prelude to a Pandemic; a postlude to 2020 and an allegory to everything the world is/has been going through in the past year. Fueled by the inner struggles and tension the pandemic has brought with it, each section of this piece represents a phase within an emotional roller coaster of melancholy, growing frustration, grief, hope. This is essentially the Prelude of the "COVID-19 Fugue", which is meant to directly follow the doubtful question mark posed by the very last chord of the Prelude: • The COVID-19 Fugue

Lovely work. Somewhat reminiscent of a cross of Chopin and Rachmaninoff, but it still absolutely has its own expressive flavor.
I feel the pandemic spurred a lot of us to compose and express our feelings in the face of what was coming and the world we left behind.. Another fine fluid outpouring of intense feeling...with a very different expressive range than the COVID 19 Fugue. Very beautiful work from a very versatile composer and performer.
Redemptive, cathartic, genius !!! Bravo Nicholas !!! More ...!
Love it!! Sounds very reminiscent of the fugue but still maintains its own prelude identity. Great piece and lovely playing!
Wonderful piece and a very professional video. Good job 👌
Beautiful!
Wow! You certainly created that roller coaster in a most evocative way, Nicholas! Bravo! (I did manage to catch some Easter eggs, too.....) Well done!
Bravo!
Fugussima...Musik ist gut,pandemia-schleht.Danke
Εξαιρετικό! 👏❤️🙏🎹
SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Thank you for this wonderful Prelude and for an excellent performance, I discovered your channel on the channel called "Fevermusica", my warm heartfelt greetings from Poland, have a happy week (and a Happy Easter Holiday Season soon). Joanna
Gorgeous, enchanting!!😍🎉
Wow! Ending on what sounds like the Dominant! That's surprising!
That's right! ...Ends with a question mark :-) The fugue is meant to come as an 'answer'.
@@NicholasPapadimitriou1993 Excellent concept! I wrote a 12 movement String Sextet where each movement ends on a Dominant 7th chord, anticipating the next movement.
Συγχαρητηρια! Παρα πολυ ωραιο!
Superb! Bravo!
Magnificent!
Lugubrious. 🖤
Marvellous Nicholas, I love it.
Bravo!!!
Thank you, Nicholas, wonderful piece and playing!
Thank you for listening, and for your kind comments Micaela! :-)
@@NicholasPapadimitriou1993 Nicholas, I may be able, mind you: may! to play your prelude because the remarkable fuga is...mmmhhhh, very demanding !
@@micaelabonetti949 If you need any tips regarding fingerings and the like, feel free to contact me! :-)
@@NicholasPapadimitriou1993 Tranquillo, Nicholas, I'm not afraid finding fingerings (like doing this!) nor analysing scores: it's your Fuga's complexity and the hard studying she will require - letting aside other very demanding scores I'm practising now, as Bach-Liszt BWV 543, or Goldberg, hahaha, always some Bach middle in the path!- but hope my life will be long enough to achieve playing all I feel I must! And there will be some Nicholas's.
Bravo!!!!
Thank you very much!

Oh yeah!
Niceeeeee
Yes, definitively late romantic Russian influences. Very substantial piece of music. Have you published it yet? If not, I might as well sit down at my office and transcribe it! Brave and Ty !
Thank you for your comment Eric! The piece has been published online, and is available via my website (see description) :-)
I see way more Chopin influence. Sounds like ocean etude
Is it possible to get the score?
