Thanks Salty. I knew there were at least two, Hallie Deegan and Alex Bowman.
Cleetus has uped his game from that race. He is doing a great job. 👍 So glad Caffeine and Octane bought Lanier speedway. Maybe we will have our own Freedom style factory here in Georgia. They are only 15 minutes from me. 👍🇺🇲
Bro you did a amazing job. Can't believe you barely used any nitrous. That means you had the best line also the least wreaks. Amazing job bud. 👏
idk. A lot if positive comments on here but all I can hear is how full of himself he is and taking shots at the the event and other drivers. Cleetus does a great job at pretty much everything he gets involved in.
Randy is a true racer and a good sport to boot. The entire time he is focused on the win. The fact that Adam LZ took a dive at him at the finish made me smile.
Randy is a hell of a great guy and fun to race with. I'm fortunate enough to have been on track with him in the Lucky Dog Racing League on the west coast!
Cleetus has wised up. Tries to keep the good drivers and has let some of the others get some practice in before they get out there
i think he finally learned something from the gas in the oil stunt. that was f-ing terrifying.
@@mycosys for sure. But like Randy said some of these guys have never felt a wall before. I was 9 years old when I slammed a midget into a wall and even being a resilient kid it shook me good and taught me respect. Road Atlanta is my local track and it’s got some spots that’ll make you pucker if you think about the wall to much.
Cleetus is truly living the dream, he's got alot of unique amd effective cars and bought a racetrack to enjoy with his close friends amd keep his followers entertained. He now has a beautiful wife who partakes in his hobbies and plenty of friends in valuable positions that aid it all. So my hat goes off to him he's living the dream!
Agreed, ain't it true. And he and team work hard at video biz.
Be kind to the Crown Vics guys, they are the last traditional American car we will ever get and they stopped building them 11 years ago. Don't take them for granted they will be hard to find before you know it.
Yup. Remember the late 70s Mopar B bodies that were cop cars on every TV show in the early 80s? You never see those anymore.
Randy is a cool guy and a great driver. Loved his enthusiasm and understanding in this vid.
Randy is Randy. Funny as hell, a great story teller but always aware of what he is doing. He is too old and wise to want to hit walls... And he may never have driven an oval beforehand, but good drivers are good drivers. Period
Randy, we had a great time watching you in the Freedom 500!
Thx a mill, Jay. what a ride
@@randypobstofficial as a die hard race fan who has seen you race at the 24 Hours of Daytona, having you reply to me personally is the coolest thing!
Awesome hearing Randy's insight as a veteran road racing driver, basically my take away from this is that in motorsports there's in inverse relationship between entertainment and safety, and boy was the Freedom 500 entertaining!!
This might be the best VINwiki interview ever! Love anything Randy does and I'm a huge Cleetus supporter to include many hundreds of dollars in donations lol. I am very happy that Cleetus has gotten most everyone to start taking these races a little more seriously. There were a couple races both a Freedom 500 and a 2.4 hours that got a little ridiculous to say the least. I want to watch racing and guys having fun racing. Not guys doing stupid shit that could seriously hurt someone. If someone dies in one of those crown vics it could be the end of crown vic racing. Randy if you see this, I hope you do come back for another more competitive crown vic race!
Great commentary by Randy. I agree with his take on these events. Mostly demolition derby is how I see it. Particularly the one with the water barriers and the kidney shaped track. Great entertainment.
“Hell yeah brother” from Randy!!! Cool stuff. 😎
The problem with this one was HeavyD he didn't care about any of the rules and decided to wreck everyone from what I've seen now the drivers seem to understand the rules (Even HeavyD after all the fans got on him)
Randy is awesome!! Love how he tells a story.
Finally! I was waiting for something cleetus related to make it on this channel
I could listen to Randy share car stories for hours.
Need to work on that.... "HELL YEAH BROTHER"!!!!! .....COME ON MAN!!!!
I'm blessed to live 20 minutes from the FF.
