I just love watching your channel Ms Diane! You explain and show everything you are doing so well. I am learning so much! Your cookies look so good! Love your pretty hearts and love your regular cookies too!!❤ Can’t wait to make these!!
Wow Thank you teaching that I no need to roll the sugar cookies I didn’t do it for that reason but the way you did it that technique is amazing thank you 🙏
I'm a quite decent cook, but I have had frequent failures making plain sugar cookies -- why, I am yet to figure out. The problems occur when I try to make the cookies at our second home along the sea coast in southern Thailand (where we frequently spend Christmas holidays, and so want decorated sugar Christmas cookies.) Maybe it is the type of flour available, maybe the hot temperature, but, using the standard recipe from Joy of Cooming or Betty Crocker, I find the dough turns out super stickly and unrollable. To make it rollable I have to double (or more!) the amount of flour that then makes them bake up hard and tough. The only use we can make use of them is to crumble them for a triffle base. I've tried many ways to adjust the recipe (including going back to check out recipes in old cookbooks compiled by missionary families who lived in Thailand 100 years ago), but nothing really works. It can't be our oven, as we have a modern Smeg electric oven, so it must be the flour. Any advice?
@@memesrecipessc I did make them and they are delicious. My hubby loves them. You know they have that stick crisco with BUTTER 🧈 🤣 I'm laughing but they do. That's the one I'm out of right now but I will buy some and try it with that and see how it works. I'm sure delicious 😊
Hi MeMe! I love watching you make and bake those sugar cookies! Your Southern accent is delightful. I'm a new subscriber as of this afternoon.

You are so welcome!😋👍🏻🙂❤️
That is correct, shoertening, regular sugar, vanilla, flour, eggs. They use butter a lot. I do not like sugar cookies made with butter.
I wish I could get crisco here( Australia) I'd never run out of cookies😊

You can try adding a couple tablespoons of floor at a time, until the dough is not sticky. It shouldn’t be sticky.😋
