His videos got me back into Bionicle and really became a true pillar of our fandom. One of his goals was to create a fan film based on the novel Time Trap. Personally, I'd love to see what it would take to make that project a reality.

Running out of time especially (which was the most classic and intense thing of the movie when he said it to Vakama, better, communicated and passed on). Final will to fight, carry on and specifically sacrifice at the end, for the future generation Toa and Turaga (and leader) Vakama.

Tears still pour. Perfect movies and animation, Bionicle is basically the best possible example of an animated toy series. Both on the technical but especially musical and story/emotional aspect. Pure intensity, combined to comedy.
@@dusk6159 Miramax owes us 3 more movies even if the models weren’t accurate they had enough detail to make them look alive in that world look at Nidhiki and Sidorka easily the hardest sets to configure into cg models due to having either to many hollow bits or other problems like in nidhikis case his head looks too large on his real life set imagine how they’d have designed the piraka or Barakki

@@WelshGiraffa I agree, I would’ve liked to have seen the Piraka and Barraki, the Toa Mahri, Toa Inika, and they completely skipped over the Toa Mata line. But I think each line got better as time went by, my favorites Toa Metru, Hordika, Inika, Mahri, and those last lines were interesting, shame they cancelled future product lines for Lego Hero Factory which was completely inferior and not as interesting, didn’t even last half as long
You know, when Vakama put Lhikan’s mask on Jaller and it molded into the shape we know from Mask of Light. It was like an unspoken miracle saying that Lhikan’s life journey didn’t end when he sacrificed himself/died, more along the lines of him living in spirit through Jaller and continuing to protect others.
Indeed, both Jaller's masking and destruction in battle (sacrified too, like Lhikan) to then replacing are overlooked great moments, great but especially absolutely filled with message and meaning.
I saw this movie first, then I saw Web of Shadows, and then I saw Mask of Light, and finally The Legend Reborn, so I didn’t actually know the characters from the first movie when I grew up watching Legends of Metru Nui
At some point his theme was basically the representation of Metru Nui (which is funny considering that Lhikan already is - and literally, considering his role for so long and no matter the odds - , and the most iconic Metru Nui character).

@@carsenmaxwell3336 Completely agree... Legends of Metru Nui was the best of the three films, just wish they made more! The Toa Mata against the Bohrok would have been cool too... and Matoro is one of my favourite characters from the entire saga, wish they also made a Inika and Mahri film!
They just don't build works (with especially the meanings, ways and aspects of them) like Bionicle or DBZ or other animation films (Dreamworks, Pixar, Disney etc) anymore.

Man, pairing It with the recalling of Lhikan's characters and especially deeds (not just sacrifices even, Turaga Lhikan teaching - and fixing their quarrelling and wavering spirit - the other Toa mates of Vakama is iconic, especially the comedy and the final deep thoughts/results) and his ends (and from Toa to Turaga to the last) makes you really cry like it was yesterday. What an heavy hitter, fitting for what and how Lhikan pull his incredible feats.
It's just so great how Vakama looked up and also knew the value of what Lhikan did. And grew to a fine man not just thanks to him but by thinking about him.

And just today I woke up feeling particularly done and... defeated. I am so done with it all. Then TheShadowOne left us... at least somebody here knows true peace.

Speaking of gfs... it was at the moment of writing my original comment where I lost mine, spent these 4 years finding someone who replaced her, and I have failed. But I trust that there is someone... I trust it, so I keep looking, even as a hordika monster. I feel as if all men are like the toa metru today, our civilization was lost, our glorious past in our homeland, we have been expelled and declared outlaws... we must find the island of mata nui, all men, even if now we are hordika. The Likhan main theme remind me a sensation of power, wisdom and serenity only at the same level of Steve Jablonsky transformers soundtracks And his death theme still's crushing and breaking my fcking heart into a billion pieces

I'm sure that if the story of Bionicle continued, a resurrected Lhikan would've helped Kopaka and Pohatu while they were trapped on the Red Star. Maybe he'd be a Turaga guiding a society of resurrected characters living on the Red Star, helping Kopaka and Pohatu escape, just like he helped Nuju, Onewa, and Whenua escape from their confinement ages ago.
