Sadly the films were trying to be more accessible and family friendly which is why all the cool abstract stuff was pretty much taken out. The last one wins some points for including Michael Dorn in its cast (Worf from Star Trek: The Next Generation) but overall I’d say the films are just okay, which is a shame because Bionicle has one of the most stand out Sci Fi stories I’ve ever seen. Mind you, it was a slow burner and the more complicated stuff didn’t really happen until after the events with the Visorak hoard.
Same here. I’m 23 now, been a fan of Bionicle since I was like 4, when they sold Bohrok sets at the dollar store... went my entire life, all those years, without knowing the actual name of the song up until tonight. Pretty wild lol
I had the chance to play this at a set for a live performance set and to my delight see all become shocked by this "mystical" music soundtrack and they could hardly belive that this was so good from a time long ago (at least in their minds). And now they are also big fans of Bionicle.

Man, I would love to hear these industrial-ish beats in the Metru Nui part of the saga (Besides Vahki animations). All Insane Kids was also good, but having a soundtrack like that would have complimented the dystopia that the City of Legends became
I'm just gonna say this. Lego should just start re-releasing all the old sets again. I will absolutely buy those since I never knew about them until Karda Nui. And my old sets are broken.

Applicable to both fake Dume's and Tuyet's regimes
Practically a dystopia 1984 style. Freaky.
Big Turaga is watching you
Remind me why this was considered a kids series again?
It always saddened me that they never used this style of music in the films 😔
