I feel like Gohan and Goten make more sense than Gohan and Videl. It would be a stretch to say that Bardock coincidentally reincarnated as someone that would eventually be Gohan's wife. It would be a lot easier to headcannon that you're more likely to be reincarnated within your bloodline. Goten or Pan still work for Bardock anyways.
Not an "um actually" thing but the Bardock saving Granolah & fighting Gas happened 3 years before Planet Vegeta's destruction. Remember Gine said she'd just given birth to Kakarotto before putting him in the chamber during his flashback & Toriyama pointed out that Goku was left in that chamber for 3 years after his birth.

There's literally no proof of her killing people, these people are just assuming so much cuz she's apart of bardocks team, she probably can't kill or defend herself that's why bardock have to save her.

Not a bad video overall. Most arguments are good and well explained and I’m not really going to contradict anything from it. However, one thing I will say: "It’s all filler" I will never consider a valid argument, at least to an extent. If we’re talking manga or Super, then yeah, filler is rather meaningless as we saw, hence why it makes more sense for Super’s anime to be a sequel to Kai rather than Z. But filler or not, when something happens in a series, there’s no point ignoring it. It happened. The show and the manga are two different entities and in the anime, villains kept their bodies and lived in that weird place guarded by ogres. And even GT which was the canonical sequel to the anime (again, not the manga, don’t you people start going "Hum actually GT was never canon") before the Super anime, well even GT took the filler into consideration with the presence of the Tuffles or Frieza & Cell having their bodies in Hell. So basically "How Afterlife actually works" really does depend on which version of the Dragon Ball world we are talking about. TL;DR: What filler showed matters in the Z anime, GT and the movies but not in the manga or Kai… mostly because we still see the villains observing the fight against Kid Buu.
real question is WHY WOULD THEY DO IT vegeta would have no need nor use for his father goku grew up enough and realized his saiyan heritage HE DOESN'T NEED BARDOCK TO GIVE HIM ATTABOY
I honestly think that Gine had enough good in her to make it to heaven. Plus, we don't know enough about Gine's tenure on Bardock's team to know if she was involved with the genocide of other races, especially since she was rescued by Bardock multiple times and influenced him to being a better person.
@@BeautifulRoppi But that doesn’t make sense, if Gine’s good and Bardock’s evil, then she wouldn’t fall in love with him, she’d get away from him. Opposite detract.
If we look at the Burdock special only, than Burdock did only 3 positive in nature things: 1.Avenged his team and by doing so he punished some bad guys. 2.Warned the other Saiyans from what Freeza is planning. Which although they didn't believe him it was a noble thing to do. 3.Stood up to Freeza despite knowing he will die in the fight. So 3 good things in a life of villainy doesn't make him a good guy, it just makes him a brave strong warrior who tried to do right. K. Bejita The-III on the other hand did absolutely nothing good. On the mother of Bejita The-IV we know nothing, and Gine who cares to be honest.
Goku and Vegeta aren’t sentimental like Earthlings when it comes to the demise of the saiyan race. Especially when so many decades have passed. They are content with their current Earthling family and that’s just compelling. Even when Goku remembered his parents, he still moved on from them. This question is just a wish fulfillment for fans to see certain saiyan characters ( esp. Bardock and Gine) interact with the protagonists. There’s nothing wrong with that but it isn’t necessary to the current storyline as of now based on what’s been established by the characters. The truth is they no longer have a role to play . That’s what what ifs are for.

I don't care what kind of wishing BS they have to pull; if they wanted more Saiyan characters, reviving and un-eviling Goku and Vegeta's families would've been cooler than the U6 Saiyans.
Bardock, in Z, not familiar with Super, was still pretty violent. He taught the saiyans how to make artificial moons, and until he saw his men dead, he was gung ho ready for a fight. He only becomes sympathetic once Frieza threatens to do the saiyans, what he did all the time.

Man i can relate to Vegeta 4:53, i just feel like my actions are just set in stone and though others may have forgiven me for it, i can't forgive myself for it and feel eternal guilt till the day i pass on and possibly get judged based off how I've lived. If there is a hell i am okay with my soul ending up there, i just feel like i belong there and heaven is more for those who genuinely couldn't control their actions/themselves but tried to. I did all of this willingly, (just like when Vegeta fired a KI blast into the crowd, he did that all because he wanted to see his best friend get mad enough to fight him to settle the differences they had that spanned for decades), because of curiosity. I think Gine would be in heaven, just because she was part of the squad doesn't mean she didn't feel like she fought them as a regular saiyan i think she used her ozaru form which makes it so that she loses control of herself and likely some awareness and isn't herself keep in mind Goku & Gohan both never remembered what happened once they snapped out of it they were completely different beings.
2:55 SAO IS NOT THAT BAD!!! 5:19 It's also possible that while she has gentle heart and love her family, she doesn't have empathy for those her husband killed since we never see her feel bad about the Saiyans' action or when Bardock has to kill innocent people.
Yeah the most we see is her mad Bardock's away for long periods of time. Saiyans do have a superiority complex, even when being dominated by creatures like Frieza and Beerus.
@@73NSH1 1-Like how? Sure, the anime adaptation butchered the novel a lot, but at best it's just a mediocre series, which kinda improved by the time of Alicization. 2-What are you even talking about?
@@73NSH1 1-Are you saying that it's bad because it's an anime adapted and butchered from novel? That's not valid enough because you can't translate novel to screen mediums like anime faithfully. Yeah, it was very flawed and the lack of details based on monologues made some scene misinterpreted, like Suguha's feeling toward Kazuto. But overall, it wasn't torturously bad. 2-You don't even explain what my argument is that you seem to seperate it from my SAO argument. I'm just going to assume you're talking about Gine, and pointed out that she never seems to questioned and doubted about Bardock's actions in his missions. She should known that he conquered a planet since it was a common job for Saiyans, but didn't seem to bat an eyes about the evilness of that. @@godzillakingofthemonsters5812 It doesn't downplay the saiyans much.,but calling Freiza the Emperor of the universe when its only 28 planets, and from what we've seen most of them are barely populated bug people. Really takes the spice out of it.
It'd be kinda funny if they made a short manga about Gohan and Videl being reincarnations of Bardock and Gine. Kinda like the manga "That time I was reincarnated as Yamcha" officially made but non cannon and simply made for fun.
Bardock may be like a typical Saiyan warrior who wipe out planets as a job but he can be capable of change albeit slowly in his own way. Plus it's not like he would antagonize Goku like Raditz did anyway. And Gine would love to meet her grandsons Gohan and Goten, along with befriending Chi-Chi and bond together as fellow feisty women who made Bardock and Goku fall for them respectively.
Answer: He doesn’t know them. I greatly admire the dedication. Leave it up to the Dragon Ball community to create some outlandish theories about whatever.
Agree with all the arguments but they could make a cool filler about goku trying to go through underworld to go see if the saiyans souls are still there (plus they could give king yemma some more screen and id love to see how he would react)
4:45 then a case could be made for Bardock because he’s the reason that Frieza is dead. Definitely a stretch but he’s the reason the universe is safe rn.
frieza is right about it being "earths hell" when goku goes to get him for the TOP yema says if needed kill him away from earth so he dont gotta deal with frieza anymore.
Heyy Sumgstick, Big fan of your what ifs here. I had an idea, what if the androids gained zenkais like saiyans or they were genetically modified to be like saiyans or what if Dbs gohan regressed in time to the time raditz came to earth?
Bardock: "Haha, Kakarot you brought me back and now I will destroy the earth for you going so weak! What are you, a low class saiyan going to do about it?!" Goku: *Goes super saiyan* Bardock: I'd like to apologise
Here's another take on the reason why Vegeta doesn't revive the saiyans. Old Vegeta would have focuses on wanting immortality and revenge, plus he could rule the galaxy and remain and the only and strongest saiyan. BUT NEW VEGETEA? Here's the thing, Vegeta has a good life, a wife and 2 children, and like it or not he DID make friends/allies and he's living his best life, PLUS if he did or someone else brought the Saiyans back, they'd start causing issues, especially with frieza, being alive. So they could end up running off to kill Frieza, try and conquer their own planets, start rebelling against old king Vegeta. he would need to leave earth and with his strength, become king and rule the saiyans to keep them in check. Likely not visiting his family as often and he would need to make sure constantly that his people are kept in order. HELL, even then, some his people would get sick of this peaceful and would have preferred the old king, maybe some actually liked the Frieza force and would have returned, not to mention that if Vegeta/the other show off Super Saiyans 1, 2, 3, god and blue, other saiyans might try and achieve it, spread the world and cause all sorts of issues. He COULD maybe find a way to circumvent this, maybe have the saiyans enter tournaments, work as mercenaries, maybe get them to try out a life of martial arts and training. Frankly, bringing the saiyans back is more problematic that it should be.
I don't think the sayians would have a reason to be evil with Goku and Vegeta being literal gods that they have only had in legends. With Goku, they could create an entire planet of people who just fight for zenkai boosts
I’d be more interested in Raditz coming back to life and seeing what became of “Kakarot” and “Prince” Vegeta. I’d like to see the rematch between Raditz and Gohan that’s since killed Cell, been to college, got married, had kids of his own, and took part in the multiverse tournament.
I can't speak for Vegeta, but Goku's dad was never Bardock. His dad was Grandpa Gohan. He's not gonna bring him back because Gohan wouldnt want to. He settled any grief he felt in OG dragon ball and even if he hadn't, Goku would've had 7 years to get closure while he himself was dead after the Cell Saga. Being purely speculative, i'd say Vegeta and Goku both understand their parents' time has come and gone. It's why vegeta doesn't chase immortality anymore, and the idea never crossed Goku's mind in the first place. Despite the get out of jail free card they have with the dragon balls, they've accepted death as a good thing. If anything its more selfish to use the dragon balls to revive their parents than not. While its non-canon, using the balls too much is how you get the shadow dragons.
1:35 You make it sound like it being "filler" means that it has no worth? Personally, i don't care if something is "filler" or "canon" as long as it's good.
I’m fairly sure Bardock and/or Gine would warm up to Earth fairly easily. Moreso Gine. But 100% King Vegeta would have no qualms on trying to conquer Earth. I don’t know where people in the comments are getting that Bardock would willingly work for Frieza again. Like, what?

“Oh hey raditz, how ya been?”
Hey Nappa, could I get a burger?”
Now I have the headcannon that gohan and videl are Gine and Bardock’s souls recycled and trunks is king vegeta’s.
In one life, King Vegeta was the father, and in the new life, his son is the father, talk about role reversals
This video was the closure I needed

Great video!

I understand the logistics.
But I’m also still sadge we’ll never get Gine outside of her stuff in Minus and Broly and the flashbacks in Granolah.

There’s a really good fan manga called Dragon Ball Reboot that has Gine as the main character. I highly recommend it.
This deserves a like and subscribe
5:29 I don't know why but that just made me laugh.
Gine: A gentle heart
Also Gine: Went along with Bardock killing possibly quite alot of people.
There's literally no proof of her killing people, these people are just assuming so much cuz she's apart of bardocks team, she probably can't kill or defend herself that's why bardock have to save her.

because he don't care... he never met those parents. Goku cared about his grandfather
To Goku, Grandpa Gohan was his mum and dad merged into one being as Grandpa Gohan was the one to raise him, so even though Goku knows he had real parents who created him, they aren't his parental figure

The only reason Goku couldn’t revive his parents because he doesn’t remember them he hit his head as a child
Yes you are correct about that because he did hit his head and that sadly he couldn't remember his parents 😭
@@DJcreeper344 @ and another reason why he couldn’t revive his parents, remembering how he met raditz and how raditz was trying to kill him and gohan and remembering how raditz was mean, Goku would think his parents could be the same way as raditz Goku may never know about Bardock and gine send him to Earth to save him because he was told by raditz he was sent to earth to destroy every living being on the planet we all know Bardock and gine would been proud of Goku and glad he’s safe but goku may never get to meet them because he doesn’t know them like Goku’s head they could be like raditz all he knows he doesn’t want to take that chance
@Shoutking1224 actually he did meet Bardock someday if Goku gets stronger I reckon he knows Bardock never look like raditz and they are happy with each other however gine will mad at raditz so Bardock too
@DJcreeper344 I mean if we put in the events of Granolah into effect, with him remembering his parents, he still wouldn't revive them plus as Goku stated to Vegeta in the Saiyan Saga, Goku was greatful for being sent to Planet Earth as a toddler

TL;DR:
What filler showed matters in the Z anime, GT and the movies but not in the manga or Kai… mostly because we still see the villains observing the fight against Kid Buu.
real question is
WHY WOULD THEY DO IT
vegeta would have no need nor use for his father
goku grew up enough and realized his saiyan heritage
HE DOESN'T NEED BARDOCK TO GIVE HIM ATTABOY
What’s up smugstick it’s everyone🗣️🔥
damn I didn't knew that smug stick was that majestic
Vegeta Hated his Dad, But Goku Never got to know his.
And he doesn't want to since Grandpa Gohan is actually the one who raised him as a parent. Goku has no relationship with bardock
So why do they bring Frieza back to life and not Vegeta and Goku's parents and Frieza is more evil than Goku and Vegeta's parents
I honestly think that Gine had enough good in her to make it to heaven. Plus, we don't know enough about Gine's tenure on Bardock's team to know if she was involved with the genocide of other races, especially since she was rescued by Bardock multiple times and influenced him to being a better person.
But then why would she be with Bardock if she’s not evil?
@@azimuddin1890umm it's because she's Inlove with him? I mean there's nothing she can if bardock is evil since that's Saiyan natural nature.
@@BeautifulRoppi
But that doesn’t make sense, if Gine’s good and Bardock’s evil, then she wouldn’t fall in love with him, she’d get away from him. Opposite detract.
@@azimuddin1890 sayians aren't evil, it's just how they are raised
@@azimuddin1890 You would be surprised
The real question is, why he didn't revive grandpa gohan?
He specifically asked not to be revived
Honestly, I could see Vegeta becoming God of Destruction as redemption for all the pain he's caused
Forcing nappa to watch SAO is just too cruel of a punishment smug, have some mercy on him😔
he don't care about them like that, and vegeta would need super dragonball to even attempt to bring back a whole planet.
Why would one need the super dragonballs to bring back a planet? Didn't porunga or shenron bring back earth after kid buu destroyed it?
@@thelvadam8811 bring earth back with earths own dragonballs… trying to bring back something super far away and from long ago back to life is not the same thing.. plus it was beerus’s wish to have it destroyed. It’s not coming back anytime soon. The saiyans were also evil

I don't care what kind of wishing BS they have to pull; if they wanted more Saiyan characters, reviving and un-eviling Goku and Vegeta's families would've been cooler than the U6 Saiyans.
Saiyans were ruthless not all saiyans were ruthless bardock and gine wanted there sons live and peace and harmony
Yeah, they were the exception to the rule, and Bardock still savagely killed. DB minus literally showed him wiping out a planet
Bardock, in Z, not familiar with Super, was still pretty violent. He taught the saiyans how to make artificial moons, and until he saw his men dead, he was gung ho ready for a fight. He only becomes sympathetic once Frieza threatens to do the saiyans, what he did all the time.
@@lapplandkun9273 your right bardock only show sympathy to his men but he can show compassion to others besides saiyans that not who bardock and all saiyan race can be sympathy or savages it’s a choice not born with darkness my opinion on saiyan race this why I want dragonball genesis 2026 how bardock gine and baby kakorat/goku go to earth same story different outcome same villians new villains and old
Man i can relate to Vegeta 4:53, i just feel like my actions are just set in stone and though others may have forgiven me for it, i can't forgive myself for it and feel eternal guilt till the day i pass on and possibly get judged based off how I've lived.
1-SAO is even worse than that.
2- Your arguments boils down to something is not bc you can't perceive it with your senses.
@@73NSH1 1-Like how? Sure, the anime adaptation butchered the novel a lot, but at best it's just a mediocre series, which kinda improved by the time of Alicization.

1- How? By being so, i'm talking about the anime I didn't even know there was a novel.
2- Iliterate detected
That's why I speculate that maybe her soft heart only extended for who she cares.
That vegeta is the sayains line was tough
Hardly genocidal. Theres only 28 inhabited planets in the universe...
28 LEFT

Bardock may be like a typical Saiyan warrior who wipe out planets as a job but he can be capable of change albeit slowly in his own way. Plus it's not like he would antagonize Goku like Raditz did anyway.
And Gine would love to meet her grandsons Gohan and Goten, along with befriending Chi-Chi and bond together as fellow feisty women who made Bardock and Goku fall for them respectively.
I do recall a good fic, Dragon Ball Dynasties, which had him revive Gine, Bardock, and Raditz

If goku said "i wish for my father to be revived" grandpa gohan would appear
Gohan: "This again?"
Smugstick why is vegeta the prince of sayiens if his dad died, wouldn’t he be king vegeta?
4:45 then a case could be made for Bardock because he’s the reason that Frieza is dead. Definitely a stretch but he’s the reason the universe is safe rn.
In a roundabout way I guess but I don’t think so

Goku: *Goes super saiyan*
Bardock: I'd like to apologise
In Goku's defence, he doesn't even who the he's supposed to revive, nor does he know their names
Hi
Wait, what's wrong with being a squirrel?
There’s no narrative reason for it either, so unless they want to do some noncanon fan-servicey Son family reunion it won’t happen.
Agreed
you forgot astral dust when Goku told Vegeta to be careful when fighting Buu!
While its non-canon, using the balls too much is how you get the shadow dragons.
he might not revive his parents but he absolutely needs to be able to see his parents in the afterlife.
HALO
yet frieza gets a free pass
1:35 You make it sound like it being "filler" means that it has no worth? Personally, i don't care if something is "filler" or "canon" as long as it's good.
