Many people take the view that "I'm not a bad person, so I won't go to hell". But when we realize how much we miss the mark simply by OMISSION we realize we too stand condemned. 😳 Praise God for the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ!! There is nothing like it!!! 😭

I don't know everything or have all the answers but I know god is real and loving and merciful. I've lived a pretty bad life alot of times knowing I was wrong and god has still saved me countless times when he easily could have just let go. Another thing you can not deny is that nothing good is truly good nothing evil is truly evil. For every act of love they are a act of hate and vise versa everything is neutral. Austin my name is Gabe and the battle for our mind (especially lustful thoughts) is a struggle many men battle. It sounds like you are not in agreement with this (which is essential for victory) and that is good. There are 2 sources of these kind of things: the flesh and evil spirits. The flesh you can crucify but with the spirits you can bind them in Jesus' name (Matthew 16:19) and loose power, love, peace of God etc. These spirits will be persistent but through binding and loosing and taking captive your thoughts and bringing them into obedience unto Christ you will win! Remember 1 john 1:9 which states confess your sin to Him and He will be faithful and just to forgive AND cleanse you from all unrighteousness. When other people sin against you, do not allow that to in turn make you sin. It is easy to sin when we are sinned against, if we are not careful. Be sober. No matter how hurtful things people have said or done against you are, pray to God that you will remain firm.

I am interested in the terms commission and omission. If I do something like disrespect my parents, that is commission because the Bible clearly states to honor your father and your mother. Omission is somewhat tricky though. I think an example would be to ignore someone in need of help or to not consult with God about daily decisions. This video left me reflective. Great job, Mark!!
Yes. I deal with others who constantly do sins of omission to me and it's beyond frustrating. I have a very high calling and am seeking to find a faithful few maturing believers to start a ministry and tight knit community to raise godly children with godly families and it never happens. I tried it in Ohio where I'm from at various churches and no one was receptive nor had the same passion and desires to follow and obey Acts 2-4 where we are clearly told to meet daily or even weekly to study scripture together (Apostles doctrine), have fellowship (getting together, worship with music, sharing money and all resources and our time to edify and supply each other's needs), break bread (have meals and remember the Messiah's death in our place by him fulfilling the 4 spring holidays of Passover, Unleavened bread, Day of First fruits and Weeks aka pentacost) and prayer (all types of prayers including tongues fro those who have made it further in their walk to be fire baptized and each have their own individual heavenly language tongue to pray in the spirit). I couldn't bear good fruit in Ohio and find others who would make time for these 4 directives and was Apostolically sent out to Tucson Arizona and have been here for 4 years amd still haven't found these things either?! So I can't help but testify of the omissions of my spiritual brothers and sisters around me who neglect me and my son every day and week amd month and year. Time is very short without much of it left and we are told in scripture to not forsake the assembling together of ourselves as is the habbit of many, but exort one another even more so as we see the (final) day approaching (Hebrews 10:25) which I believe will only be 9 more years left this September. And it's so frustrating bc people can hide more easily from being accountable with sins of omission bc it's not common practice for people to receive any correction or punishment by the good that they are not doing continually. Everyone is punished or corrected by their sins of commission by the law enforcement or congregation leaders. It usually only parents and most businesses that penalize or correct people for neglect. God's immature people keep getting away with it while we are still on earth and not at our bema seat rewards tribunal judgment. ** update** 2020 God’s path has lead me back to Ohio near Akron, to fight the spirits of the giants here and take it back as my family inheritance for this last season. If Anyone is in Ohio, we should build a community now while the grass still has some green left and before it’s all dried up and we are on the run and desperately looking for shelter, love, food and other provisions, like the walking dead bc times similar to that are coming and we need to unite and store up what we can now. The invention of the electron microscope alone blew Darwin’s theories out of the water. Up until 8-9yrs ago I was so completely against all religions of man, leaving me little time or interest in God, even though I wasn’t a complete dissenter as I did believe in a God. I decided, as a passionate student of history, to finally do a deep dive into the Bible. Once and for all...no longer relying on the opinions of others. I mean a very deep dive, word etymologies, commentaries, original languages, contemporary works, and even a few of the non canonical books. I can point to several specific points in my life where I felt I was being pushed or pulled into finding out more about God. But I was far too busy with life and studying just wasn’t going to happen. The amazing thing is...the deeper I dug into the Bible the more it opened up. As soon as I thought I had my mind wrapped around it the floors would fall away and I would see new depths unfolding. At the outset I figured I’d give it a year. I was laid up and unable to work, after a home invasion. Luckily I had the VA for my medical needs and family provided a roof while the VA was trying to repair me, but I digress. I’ve now been studying it, “religiously “..., for going on 8yrs and I’m just beginning to see I much I don’t know and have yet to learn. I only wish I hadn’t wasted 40+yrs before doing so! Reading the King James Version, for example, will only get one so far and most will never even read it over a lifetime. The real insight is when you begin to mine passage or verses in the original languages. All the proof one could ever need of God creating everything can literally be found within the Bible and it’s roots. My injuries, or more specifically, my pain prevented me from getting to sleep so I even started searching TH-cam videos for Bible readings and Commentaries. Finding gems out there became easier with time and knowledge but it’s fraught with false teachings. Some innocent but most deliberately designed to lead one astray. Anyway, this ran long...it’s late and I’m tired. But it’s never to late to point out that the Bible is true. It’s 66 books by 40 authors, written in 3 different languages, on 3 different continents over a 2000yr time span and yet it’s a completely integrated message system. The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed and the NT is the OT revealed. It’s the Holy Spirit inspired writings sent to us by God standing outside of our realm of time, which he created, and viewing everything at once from beginning to end. Oh, everyone is given the same choice to except Gods unmerited Grace, by Faith that Jesus did indeed die for our sins and his blood paid the blood sacrifice needed to absolve us of sin. Jesus is the only way to God. We all have a choice, until we draw our last breath...our in these late days it may only be until the Tribulation begins. Once it begins I believe the Faith offer is removed as the evidence is plain to see. Some will be saved during the tribulation but I pray that no one puts it of until then, as it will not be easy at all. Choose well!

This message has given me much to contemplate as it provides a deeper, richer understanding of WHO our Father really is. God is good brother in Christ! Sometimes i can see that sounds simple for some to understand but reality it is that we don't really understand when we reason in our own and we keep falling into the same sin without growing ourselves. It is good when a Word is edifying and helps us understand God's will in our lives to be more like Him. We are His children and He helps us to know Him more if we listen to His voice and follow Him. IMO, you hit the nail right on the head. Our identity is one of a "sinner"; but to thoroughly know that is a good thing, IMO. Christ came to save sinners. If we lose our identity as a sinner then, IMO, we jeopardize our greatest connection to our Savior. I liked your post.

About a month ago for one evening I was given a grace to clearly see that accepting my sinfulness (not the same as justifying sinning) was a gift from God because the same gift gave me the good sense to look graciously at our Savior. The grace went away, but I will not forget it. It also made me realize that no matter how hard I try, I cannot get rid of my sinfulness; God can do that anytime He wants. Faith is faith, and I guess there is no way to get around it. I just want you to know that your experience is probably not rare.
@@drakeclifton5625 I should have mentioned that I found a tremendous essay quite by accident. Over 70 years ago, a Swedish theologian, Anders Nygren, wrote a very small book that contains two essays. The second essay is about Atonement, and this essay is nothing short of amazing. Nygren addresses exactly what you are wrestling with. You can find a used version of, "The Essence of Christianity" on Amazon. The first essay is ok, but the second essay will address your and my issues. Nygren also wrote a phenomenal commentary on Romans but it is a heavy read.

Please start reading a Bible, grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus. Good video, I stumbled on your channel. Good content. Great presentation on sin. I am always astonished how sinful i really am. The Lord Jesus has granted me some victories over my struggle with sin by Holy Spirit control of my thought life. This is HUGE, i cant tell you how much joy i have in the Lord because He has empowered me in my thoughts. As a man thinks, so is he.
I am struggling with a particular sin in my life right now that I've been trying to be totally set free from for some time . I get to a place where I feel I am doing well and it's not even a factor, then all of a sudden, it resurfaces. Deep in my heart, I really hate that I am battling with this, and I cry out to God to please deliver me from it. My relationship with my heavenly Father means so much more than anyone or anything else. The guilt, the shame of this struggle, is practically unbearable. However, I just want to be free . I never struggled with anything as much as I am struggling with this. Please keep me lifted saints 🙏🏽❤️. I know God loves me..I just want him to see I am really trying 😢.

While on my walk with Jesus I sometimes slip and fall. And when I do the pain and grieve in my spirit and heart is so agonizing because it makes me feel separated from My Lord and that’s a very lonely sad feeling. Feeling separated from my creator. Jesus was the Perfect example of love and God.

Everyone has the Light of Christ. We’re born with that. It does give us a sense of what is right and wrong or sin. However we can become desensitised to sin.
A very astute analysis of the meaning of sin! If we call ourselves Christians, we are expected to be "Christ-Like". But to be like Christ, we have to be perfect and without sin, which, while we are alive on this earth, is impossible. The bible says that even the most righteous among us are like dirty rags. Therefore, the only way to be like Jesus is to confess your sins before Him, to repent of your sins, and continue day by day to act and think in ways that Jesus would. You are expected to be less sinful year by year as you approach your day of death with complete faith in Jesus Christ as you enter into eternity.
I encourage everyone here to read Hebrews 10, especially verses 2, 3, 9, 10, 12, 14, 17, 18, 22 ("evil conscience" is guilty conscience in Greek). This is an eye opening chapter. We are called to rest in Him.
The commandments are for people who still operate from the mind (sin) but when you are truly with god in the heart and complete faith, then you will naturally follow the commandments and will feel disconnected from the heart if your mind (ego) starts to take over.

It sounds like you are not in agreement with this (which is essential for victory) and that is good. There are 2 sources of these kind of things: the flesh and evil spirits. The flesh you can crucify but with the spirits you can bind them in Jesus' name (Matthew 16:19) and loose power, love, peace of God etc. These spirits will be persistent but through binding and loosing and taking captive your thoughts and bringing them into obedience unto Christ you will win! Remember 1 john 1:9 which states confess your sin to Him and He will be faithful and just to forgive AND cleanse you from all unrighteousness. I am interested in the terms commission and omission. If I do something like disrespect my parents, that is commission because the Bible clearly states to honor your father and your mother. Omission is somewhat tricky though. I think an example would be to ignore someone in need of help or to not consult with God about daily decisions. This video left me reflective. Great job, Mark!!

Yes. I deal with others who constantly do sins of omission to me and it's beyond frustrating. I have a very high calling and am seeking to find a faithful few maturing believers to start a ministry and tight knit community to raise godly children with godly families and it never happens. I tried it in Ohio where I'm from at various churches and no one was receptive nor had the same passion and desires to follow and obey Acts 2-4 where we are clearly told to meet daily or even weekly to study scripture together (Apostles doctrine), have fellowship (getting together, worship with music, sharing money and all resources and our time to edify and supply each other's needs), break bread (have meals and remember the Messiah's death in our place by him fulfilling the 4 spring holidays of Passover, Unleavened bread, Day of First fruits and Weeks aka pentacost) and prayer (all types of prayers including tongues fro those who have made it further in their walk to be fire baptized and each have their own individual heavenly language tongue to pray in the spirit). I couldn't bear good fruit in Ohio and find others who would make time for these 4 directives and was Apostolically sent out to Tucson Arizona and have been here for 4 years amd still haven't found these things either?! So I can't help but testify of the omissions of my spiritual brothers and sisters around me who neglect me and my son every day and week amd month and year. Time is very short without much of it left and we are told in scripture to not forsake the assembling together of ourselves as is the habbit of many, but exort one another even more so as we see the (final) day approaching (Hebrews 10:25) which I believe will only be 9 more years left this September. And it's so frustrating bc people can hide more easily from being accountable with sins of omission bc it's not common practice for people to receive any correction or punishment by the good that they are not doing continually. Everyone is punished or corrected by their sins of commission by the law enforcement or congregation leaders. It usually only parents and most businesses that penalize or correct people for neglect. God's immature people keep getting away with it while we are still on earth and not at our bema seat rewards tribunal judgment.

Up until 8-9yrs ago I was so completely against all religions of man, leaving me little time or interest in God, even though I wasn’t a complete dissenter as I did believe in a God.
I decided, as a passionate student of history, to finally do a deep dive into the Bible. Once and for all...no longer relying on the opinions of others. I mean a very deep dive, word etymologies, commentaries, original languages, contemporary works, and even a few of the non canonical books.
I can point to several specific points in my life where I felt I was being pushed or pulled into finding out more about God. But I was far too busy with life and studying just wasn’t going to happen. The amazing thing is...the deeper I dug into the Bible the more it opened up. As soon as I thought I had my mind wrapped around it the floors would fall away and I would see new depths unfolding.
At the outset I figured I’d give it a year. I was laid up and unable to work, after a home invasion. Luckily I had the VA for my medical needs and family provided a roof while the VA was trying to repair me, but I digress. I’ve now been studying it, “religiously “..., for going on 8yrs and I’m just beginning to see I much I don’t know and have yet to learn. I only wish I hadn’t wasted 40+yrs before doing so!
Reading the King James Version, for example, will only get one so far and most will never even read it over a lifetime.
The real insight is when you begin to mine passage or verses in the original languages. All the proof one could ever need of God creating everything can literally be found within the Bible and it’s roots.
My injuries, or more specifically, my pain prevented me from getting to sleep so I even started searching TH-cam videos for Bible readings and Commentaries. Finding gems out there became easier with time and knowledge but it’s fraught with false teachings. Some innocent but most deliberately designed to lead one astray.
Anyway, this ran long...it’s late and I’m tired. But it’s never to late to point out that the Bible is true.
It’s 66 books by 40 authors, written in 3 different languages, on 3 different continents over a 2000yr time span and yet it’s a completely integrated message system. The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed and the NT is the OT revealed.
It’s the Holy Spirit inspired writings sent to us by God standing outside of our realm of time, which he created, and viewing everything at once from beginning to end. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it...

Oh, everyone is given the same choice to except Gods unmerited Grace, by Faith that Jesus did indeed die for our sins and his blood paid the blood sacrifice needed to absolve us of sin. Jesus is the only way to God.
We all have a choice, until we draw our last breath...our in these late days it may only be until the Tribulation begins. Once it begins I believe the Faith offer is removed as the evidence is plain to see. Some will be saved during the tribulation but I pray that no one puts it of until then, as it will not be easy at all.

Thank you for sharing this message. I've felt so ashamed, unable to CHOOSE to not sin at times, and therefore unable to speak to the Father out of fear/shame. This message has given me much to contemplate as it provides a deeper, richer understanding of WHO our Father really is. As a really mixed up person, I do hope I can come to a better relationship with HIM.

That’s a good point, that obedience to Christ reveals God’s character to those around us. I still have a little bit of a rebellious spirit. I’m struggling with watching porn and I’m trying to understand how to surrender my life to the Lord
God is good brother in Christ! Sometimes i can see that sounds simple for some to understand but reality it is that we don't really understand when we reason in our own and we keep falling into the same sin without growing ourselves. It is good when a Word is edifying and helps us understand God's will in our lives to be more like Him. We are His children and He helps us to know Him more if we listen to His voice and follow Him. IMO, you hit the nail right on the head. Our identity is one of a "sinner"; but to thoroughly know that is a good thing, IMO. Christ came to save sinners. If we lose our identity as a sinner then, IMO, we jeopardize our greatest connection to our Savior. I liked your post.

About a month ago for one evening I was given a grace to clearly see that accepting my sinfulness (not the same as justifying sinning) was a gift from God because the same gift gave me the good sense to look graciously at our Savior. The grace went away, but I will not forget it. It also made me realize that no matter how hard I try, I cannot get rid of my sinfulness; God can do that anytime He wants. Faith is faith, and I guess there is no way to get around it. I just want you to know that your experience is probably not rare.
@@drakeclifton5625 I should have mentioned that I found a tremendous essay quite by accident. Over 70 years ago, a Swedish theologian, Anders Nygren, wrote a very small book that contains two essays. The second essay is about Atonement, and this essay is nothing short of amazing. Nygren addresses exactly what you are wrestling with. You can find a used version of, "The Essence of Christianity" on Amazon. The first essay is ok, but the second essay will address your and my issues. Nygren also wrote a phenomenal commentary on Romans but it is a heavy read.
This guy talking amazing wisdom God helped him understand and he does it in a very humble way. This guy cool. Thats a like! :)

That is unique, I never viewed it that way
God is patient towards man. Mankind commits the vilest sins before a Holy God every day and God allows them to live. Sin grieves God, but God waits for His people with kindness and patience. When we are patient that is a reflection of His great love.

so I read through some comments, and found that this info is surprising to a lot of people and that fact is sad and surprising in it's self. Please start reading a Bible, grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus. We are to keep the 10 commandments and for the babes in Christ who say "you will always sin" you are rejecting grace, fore it IS grace that enables us to obey His commandments and gain victory over sin. Rom 1:5 Paul teaches us to move on to perfection and obedience, Peter teaches us "to be holy, for God is holy", if you don't think that is possible, you have little to no faith and reject grace. 1 Jn talks all about obedience to the 10 commandments, also Rom's and Hebrews and the rest of the Bible. We honor and reflect God's character when we obey His Laws,

Moses didn't free anybody, it was God Himself that did all the work...Moses just followed instruction as should you concerning keeping the commandments. Just as our Creator told Cain, "If you do what is right, all will be well with you, if not..sin lies at the door" Our Creator is trying to develop your character so you won't go the way of Cain and you will be able to handle immortality and not abuse it. I am struggling with a particular sin in my life right now that I've been trying to be totally set free from for some time . I get to a place where I feel I am doing well and it's not even a factor, then all of a sudden, it resurfaces. Deep in my heart, I really hate that I am battling with this, and I cry out to God to please deliver me from it. My relationship with my heavenly Father means so much more than anyone or anything else. The guilt, the shame of this struggle, is practically unbearable. However, I just want to be free . I never struggled with anything as much as I am struggling with this. Please keep me lifted saints 🙏🏽❤️. I know God loves me..I just want him to see I am really trying 😢.

While on my walk with Jesus I sometimes slip and fall. And when I do the pain and grieve in my spirit and heart is so agonizing because it makes me feel separated from My Lord and that’s a very lonely sad feeling. Feeling separated from my creator. Jesus was the Perfect example of love and God.

I agree with you 100% , legally you are correct. The problem with using the term missing the mark suggest that we want to do right but we're unable to live up to the standard. The truth of the situation is that not only do we miss the mark but we do not even want to try. we are defiant, we must come to the realization that we want to be in control of our life instead of God. we use to say that if Jesus is not lord of all then He is not lord at all. no amount of change in lifestyle will ever be enough until we surrender to the Lordship of christ.
Everybody knows what sin is. Everyone has a conscience and know when they violate it.

Not necessarily. Until we sear our conscience, then yes, we feel our failure, but that doesn't mean most sinners UNDERSTAND what it is and why they do it.
I take it you have never spoke the gospel to family, friends and strangers. You'll be utterly shocked how many people disregard the bible or completely come to their own conclusions when they hear things they don't like in the bible. A very astute analysis of the meaning of sin! If we call ourselves Christians, we are expected to be "Christ-Like". But to be like Christ, we have to be perfect and without sin, which, while we are alive on this earth, is impossible. The bible says that even the most righteous among us are like dirty rags. Therefore, the only way to be like Jesus is to confess your sins before Him, to repent of your sins, and continue day by day to act and think in ways that Jesus would. You are expected to be less sinful year by year as you approach your day of death with complete faith in Jesus Christ as you enter into eternity.
I've always used the biblical definition of sin in James 4:17.

I encourage everyone here to read Hebrews 10, especially verses 2, 3, 9, 10, 12, 14, 17, 18, 22 ("evil conscience" is guilty conscience in Greek). This is an eye opening chapter. We are called to rest in Him.
The commandments are for people who still operate from the mind (sin) but when you are truly with god in the heart and complete faith, then you will naturally follow the commandments and will feel disconnected from the heart if your mind (ego) starts to take over.
