I’m currently running a v2 limitless with the 1700kv motor and just testing and tuning and believe me when I say, you won’t be disappointed. Matched with a XLX2 it’s a beast. You definitely need all the perfect pass upgrades as well as scorched RC. I’m a firm believer of quality. I’ll show u my build when I start my TH-cam channel. Just been lazy.
Imo 1700 is a pusher and 2400kv is a breather . So the length of you run way will help you decide are you able to open the 2400kv up and let them breath in that area? Or are you pushing hard to get to top speed and quickly breaking ? The one thing g I said I wanted to see on your castle link the info was how many feet or the distance of the run !
I have a Facebook page called SpeedBoostRC, where I'll be sharing my logs. Lately, my runs have been limited by the range of my controller. After some modifications, even without the signal booster, my range has extended well beyond my line of sight. I'm hopeful this will allow the car to really stretch its legs. I usually ease off the throttle early because I'm worried about losing control if I run out of range and can't stop the car.
@@SpeedBoostRC yeah I just put a range booster in a couple days ago … are you sure that model has the antenna and it’s not built into the board? Some of them need to be soldiered on and it’s small and heat sensitive … mine worked out and it’s beyond past seeing range… but you can set up the car with certain remotes that when they lose signal they apply the brake for you
Curious to how many amps you're pushing. Do you have a log to share of that 100k rpm pass? Im sure its set but make sure the log has the right motor kv and gearing in the settings as well. I would keep that 1721 in there. It's more than capable and can easy go 150+ without a problem.
I do have the logs and will share them. I have a Facebook page I recently set up and will start sharing it there. I definitely need help because I already blew up an ESC and one 1721 2400 motor.
I purchased more motors and have a stock of ESCs, so I'm ready to run again. What gearing should I be running on my Limitless for a safe 150 mph pass? If you don't have this information, what gearing should I start with. I blew an ESC with a 30p/45s. I blew the motor with a 30p/36s.
@@SpeedBoostRC Thats interesting that the motor and esc would go with that gearing. I have run the xlx2 through the reamer with way more aggressive gearing with no failures from both my motor and esc. Im wondering if its the trigger pull and the amp load coming on too strong too quick. Could also be ripple voltage as well. Ripple can manifest from several things but in normally comes in low than levels off as you get to full throttle pull. These motors need so much room to breath and ramp up speed. This looks like a very short running location and I know people are limited by what they have available to them, which Im in the same boat at the moment. I would look for a spot that will at bare minimum 1/4 mile to a 1/2 mile of running room. What you'd like to see essentially on a full run in ft is minimum 2700ft to 2800ft. The most ideal would be over 4000ft but that is very difficult to come by. I would get the perfect pass launch control to help with trigger control. This might be the issue with the esc going on you. I feel like the power is coming on to o quick and damaging the esc.

I'm likely going to put it in the Infraction.
Subscribed. Ask what tires did you run at 133? Thanks!!
Thank you, I run the GRP XM5, Im switching to BSR foam tires.

I already did the mod. The controller has aregular IPEX connector on it so it was very easy. I did measure my run location today and its 1722ft.
@@SpeedBoostRC yeah you’ll need more imo and a ladder lol
Thank you! Purple BSR?
Yes

I left you great information in the last video. I'm guessing you don't read your comments, but ask for comments???
I replied to your comment, saying how great that information was, and thank you.
Your guys' comments is how I learn these things. I read each and every one, then often refer back when doing purchases.
single motor 1000ft or less 1700 all day ..... with logs and distance ran , I can give a little more advice
Im going to post logs on my facebook page which is SpeedBoostRC
I'm running 1700ft
@@SpeedBoostRC nice ill check the page and share some logs. Im only at 153mph on my 1100kv car 150 1700kv with about 1200ft of road.
