They never said he's bad, he was just streching the notes too much, which changed the original sound of the song. Also he said his condition was not good, so they said he shouldn't go that high, but nevertheless, he obviously slayed.
Hui is one of the best vocalist in BP999. But when a great singer improvises the note so much, sometimes it feels like it's not pleasing to hear. A professional singer is the one who can balance their improvised note in a performance.

I’ve noticed something…Mnet only puts the good reactions when it is the K groups performance meanwhile G group just gets a bland stage with little to no reactions…Reactions can be a but too much but they do hype up the audience and make it seem like the K group was better
I feel like compared to group G, group K just have way better stages, just in terms of the set the lighting etc. The only G group winning (which was kill this love) incorporated the dramatic lighting, but I feel it's also just home town turf bias. Personally I was annoyed how most of the bad singers from Group K somehow scored higher than the G counterparts, or Jay getting 66 included. I want group G to win just because of how they are setting group K up to be this unbeatable force, it's annoying.

I think the reason why hui's high note was intensely edited was not to doubt his vocals, but mnet wants to add some thrill since there was a big comparision on hui's improvising. Even their dress rehearsal (hours before the performance), Hui still pursued the improvised note and in the final edit, he stayed with the original key. I dont think its wrong

Its hard to find concept and songs for a group that newborn for just a few months after the show so of course mnet's already had their line up that fit in their concept and songs and they will edit and give their bias more screentime to make sure they will debut. If it doesnt work? Thats fine they will rig the votes.

But Hui’s voice did sound a bit hoarse during evaluations, and for the last rehearsal. He focused a lot on his dancing, since he believes that’s his weakness. Plus, he’s the leader of the team. His condition wasn’t the best. He made the right decision.

Lol the editing couldn't be more different from Peak Time where you can actually complete the performances as it should be xD then they sometimes highlight the parts they skipped at the commentary at the end of the performance. JTBC is way more genuine in promoting the contestants. And there's like no elimination until the finals.

No I love it too! It's so satisfying. I only hate it when it's a bad moment. But when it's a good moment especially for a contestant that were rooting for, it's so nice and satisfying! I'm sure most people like that too.

I watched episode 5 yesterday, I cried so much-!😭 Even if I did'nt vote for Krystian I am still happy that he did'nt get eliminated. He got so much evil editing, I feel really bad for him and the others who has been getting it.
They are so repetitive with some parts and others cut theirs, that I prefer to see the full version and enjoy the song without those hateful interruptions

Honestly, I prefer Jay's vocals just because it sounded clearer (AND HIS GROWLS 🥴). You can hear during Hui's high note that the placement is nice and clear and then it slides down to his throat. It could be his tone (tone is always preference, not skill) or straight up placement. I didn't forget about how he was a lil' sick! But if he hit the nigh note like that and then went about an octave higher later on, I would have expected it to be "cleaner". Don't get me wrong, he's a great vocalist; I was just a little disappointed and thought that the winning vote should have gone to Jay.
personally, my opinion was the opposite of yours, lol Hui sounded clearer for me while Jay sounded a bit nasally, too much vibrations. Like I didn’t enjoyed it all so I prefer Hui’s.
OK ... There is no doubt that Hui can hit that note regardless of register. But, what I understand is that Hui is better at upper registers. So, the suggestion of judges letting Hui sings in original note (with mixed register) is good and makes him improved in expression. However, yes. Mnet's editing is horrible. Tell me we aren't acting like the highnotes hui did in the rehearsal were good. Like he's a great singer but he sounded like he's screaming in pain. Which makes sense because my vocal chords hurt from listening to them. I was at the edge of my seat crossing my fingers that he was going to just do the regular highnote like everyone advised him to do and thank god he did

But Hui’s voice did sound a bit hoarse during evaluations, and for the last rehearsal. He focused a lot on his dancing, since he believes that’s his weakness. Plus, he’s the leader of the team. His condition wasn’t the best. He made the right decision.

Lol the editing couldn't be more different from Peak Time where you can actually complete the performances as it should be xD then they sometimes highlight the parts they skipped at the commentary at the end of the performance. JTBC is way more genuine in promoting the contestants. And there's like no elimination until the finals.

i only watch the performance clips of the contestants of boys planet NOT the broadcast 'cause mnet editing sucks. PEAK TIME by JTBC is much better. its fair, less drama and no evil editing.
Ye dam impressed me. I wish he got more praise. Sung Hanbin and Hui did really well of course, but i didnt expect Ye dam to be so charismatic and to have so much personality in his dancing.

i want to say this for those who are unaware so mnet actually posts a youtube video including the reactions and a youtube video of just the stage so you can see the uninterrupted performance. but i agree the show is kinda annoying cuz it keeps repeating parts after reactions.
This is like Indian daily soap ,replaying a moment thousand times and showing everyone's reaction to expand the screentime.

I watched episode 5 yesterday, I cried so much-!😭 Even if I did'nt vote for Krystian I am still happy that he did'nt get eliminated. He got so much evil editing, I feel really bad for him and the others who has been getting it.
They are so repetitive with some parts and others cut theirs, that I prefer to see the full version and enjoy the song without those hateful interruptions

I dont mind them showing some reactions of the others but they reeeeally are overdoing it with the reactions. Its getting annoying bc you cant even fully enjoy the performance bc it cuts away all the time and then repeat 3x, also I absolutely hate how mnet STILL cuts some parts out of the performances or shows others during one trainees part... like some dont get enough screentime anyway and now you dont even show them during their part???!

Honestly, I prefer Jay's vocals just because it sounded clearer (AND HIS GROWLS 🥴). You can hear during Hui's high note that the placement is nice and clear and then it slides down to his throat. It could be his tone (tone is always preference, not skill) or straight up placement. I didn't forget about how he was a lil' sick! But if he hit the nigh note like that and then went about an octave higher later on, I would have expected it to be "cleaner". Don't get me wrong, he's a great vocalist; I was just a little disappointed and thought that the winning vote should have gone to Jay.
personally, my opinion was the opposite of yours, lol Hui sounded clearer for me while Jay sounded a bit nasally, too much vibrations. Like I didn’t enjoyed it all so I prefer Hui’s.

OK ... There is no doubt that Hui can hit that note regardless of register.
But, what I understand is that Hui is better at upper registers.
So, the suggestion of judges letting Hui sings in original note (with mixed register) is good and makes him improved in expression.
