Literally all they need to do is a "Bot fill" option like Duo fill or Squad fill, for the people that don't wanna play against real players for some reason. Epic listens but they never take a proper solution to problems, it's always them taking them to the extreme. People complained about the tryhards so now we all have to deal with bots being in the game wether you like it or not. When they could just easily make bot lobbies a lobby queue option.
I really wish people would stop saying “play ranked if you don’t want bots” because for 1, bots are in ranked anyways. 2, people shouldn’t HAVE to play ranked to play real players, and 3, are we forgetting normal people play this game? I agree with everything mentioned in the video. Playing OG Fortnite doesn't feel like playing OG. Many new players have a problem with older players not liking it, but I'm not surprised. Seriously, when playing projects like ERA, I felt like I was really playing OG Fortnite.
Epic will never listen, they lean too much towards the current players of the game over the actual original players of the game that used to play in chapter 1 which was MILLIONS, that’s exactly why they kept all of the current movement because they are trying to make he current players happy which is exactly what made all of the OG players leave after 1-2 days of playing that sweat fest

I think personally that there should be no extra gamemodes. Just completely original OG as one game of and chapter 6 as another game. That’s absolutely it.
I think the new movement is the biggest issue here. Mantling completely eradicates the need for building, and as you said sprinting and sliding make the game feel too fast paced. For example, if someone, say 50 meters away, catches me off guard and knocks down a decent chunk of my health, I’m gonna have ZERO time to heal because they can just immediately cover all that ground in a very short time, while I’m stuck between either staying and trying to heal, or trying to sprint away also. Honestly OG movement would 100% fix the mode for me.

I honestly think the Fortnite community is never satisfied. I’ve been enjoying OG Fortnite and I’ll never play Chapter 6 again. The simplicity, the weapons, the graphics are perfect.
They need to disable turbo building, add old animations, weapon models, disable sprint and mantle etc. like how it WAS. A 3rd game mode might me too much.. the og og game mode should just default og, but keep sprinting mantling, etc for zero build.
@@lucki.intern well idk ppl arent tryna grind 6 hrs a day just to stay consistent to even have a chance at the game the whole point of og is to have og Fortnite and that was not in it, if people want mantling and sprinting they could go to chapter 6, I said mantling and sprinting for zero build because chapter 1 does not have a lot of cover and is easy to get shot in the open, and it’s that way because the whole point of build mode is to build your own cover. But sweats have kind of made that mode unplayable. So turbo building should be turned off like how it was in early Fortnite
i think a big part of the problem is that we're not kids anymore. Most people, myself included, who played this game when we were 13/14 etc are now adults with real lives who don't have as much time on our hands. Our priorities are different so video games don't really hit the same. In all honesty, they could've released the game like this back in 2017 and it still would've been a smash hit, but we're blinded by nostalgia not just for the game, but for our lives in general. With all that said, yes I am completely washed, but fuck turbo building regardless.
Although epic would never do it, I’d really appreciate them making a discord server specifically for OG Fortnite with suggestions and bug reporting, I feel like the game modes big enough to warrant its own team of people who work on it, we need truly dedicated developers who WANT to give us what we had back in Chapter 1 that’s what I would love to see.

They probably will not listen. They didn't even bring back the hexagon storm Design which fit fortnite so much better. And the sound when you where in storm. Idk why they never experiment with the storm design. But at least they made the old storm clouds.
The mode's dead because of the bots and that isn't gonna change until bots are removed. The only fix is to improve the SBMM. They should increase the skill categories from 3 to like 12. This way, everyone get more evenly skilled enemies. With SBMM, if your lobbies are too hard, after you've died for a couple of matches, it'll move you towards a lower category. This will repeat until you're at a comfortable spot. A skill category where you're not bully lower skilled players but also where you're not being bullied by higher skilled players. SBMM is a good thing when done right but the current Fortnite SBMM sucks hence why I said that they need to improve it.
I think it would be easier for example to download fortnite og in the laucnher. So just as og rn its goes trhu all the seasons and then restart. So what im saying is that you download og in the launxher as a ”seprate game” Thats my idea

Ive wrote a ton of these comments but here we go again. I think the graphics arent that big of a deal.. Yes the old ones are better, they feel more "nostalgic" but everyone will get used to them eventually. However, i dont understand how epic doesnt see the issue. People want the OLD mechanics back. We need no bot lobbies, hell even no sbmm. Especially id they add a no turbo build / edit option, that will even out the skill gap. We need old movement, the map just isnt made for you to zoom around it. Also, we dont wanna play zero build because its not what made us love fortnite. Also, as we got the old 999 mat cap, they should bring back the old bullet cap everything (for rockets especially), and make the rpg not as destructive as it is now. I always used to like the old Rpg, how it didnt destory half of the map, but rather the walls you were aiming at to blow the cover quickly. Anyways, the point is yes it would be cool to have retro graphics, id absolutely love it. But having og mechanics is what really matters imo Edit : Ive seen at the end of the video u are using double grenade launchers, how are we supposed to do that now? Rockets are as rare as gold scars, and i have a friend who used to love spamming them in squads :)

I think they should keep sbmm but with no bots. Just so me and other average players don’t get killed in the first minute, and also not feel like we have our hand held. And tbh, I like that we don’t have the old movement, not everything from OG does was amazing. I actually wish they made the water swimmable. The Chapter 4 map was smaller and it had all the new fast movement. I really don’t care if Fortnite brings back the og graphics or doesn’t, never really paid attention to them changing tbh. I'd LOVE if for the OG remaster skins, they brought back the old art style, so either making different versions of old skins, or brand new concepts in the old style.
Not only this considering how rare some of the major heals are like Med kits, big pots, and slurps are especially during endgame and yet they decided to say “nah I think turbo builds should stay” I feel like they knew this movement and all that would definitely buff sweats especially with how OP these weapons are and they expected the old players or just players who aren’t that good to switch and play chapter 6 but instead they just stopped playing the game…aaaaand OG is still getting higher numbers than chapter 6 😂

Performance Mode is also a bit weird because you can‘t see the bushes. I tried to hide in a bush but I got insta killed because for anyone with performance mode on I‘m just sitting there in the open. :/
One thing that I also noticed the old OG headshot sniper sound effect is not there it was so satisfying hitting those headshots but they didn’t add the sound epic is so lazy like we made them and they can’t make it good
W take on it, man! Here's my full opinion on what Epic could do to fix it: I see so many seeing that the old movement was so bad in fortnite, but if you think about it, the old movement wasn't bad, but we got the new stuff now and we've had that for years so obviously now the old stuff is gonna feel lame and boring, but I think most OG's would prefer if they did that. I'm not a sweat but I'm not like bad either, just casual ig and all I want is an accurate fortnite OG with old icons on everything, no turbo build maybe, old movement and old game mechanics, and a ranked mode which actually HAS modern movement and modern mechanics. If they do that, imo it'll fix most of the issues with OG fortnite. Most sweats will probably hate the old movement and no sliding or anything like that, and they want to play ranked all the time, so they can go there, have all the modern stuff they want, but still play on the old map with the old guns and enjoy OG fortnite in their own way against other players who are like them, sweats. Casual players will be mostly left alone to fight against other casual players, and the sweats who don't want to switch over to ranked, would probably play OG fortnite against casual players, but there they wouldn't even really count as sweats because they would not be able to sprint, slide, mantle, hurdle, anything like that and maybe even not have turbo build either. It would make it hard for sweats to BE a sweat and they would just end up as a casual player too. And just one last thing, Rewind royale is fun without all the insane lag it has most of the time and they did a great job at the representation of OG fortnite. They even have the OG map like if you look int he corner of your screen, the minimap texture it self looks identical to back then, and when you click M on your keyboard (if that's your map keybind), currently it looks way too modern. Smaller things like this, also needs to change to make it feel like OG. And they gotta remove that modern sniper that I for some reason found in a supply drop. I think it's a bolt action, not sure but it's like a modern sniper with modern icon and all that. They should make EVERYTHING completely OG to make people happier. Also SBMM needs to come back
i feel like the biggest reason its failing is because season 1 isn't nostalgic for the majority of players because they weren't playing at that time, I personally think it will do great if they just change it to season 3 or 5 overnight
We need the old animations desperately. It needs to look different than Chapter 6 or its just another UEFN map. They can keep or remove sprinting, I don't care either way. I just want the Chapter 1-4 movement animations.
I don't think that mode feels like the OG Fortnite. They brought the old mode but with the mechanics of the current version. For me i just want the OG Fortnite exactly as it was even with the graphics that were simpler back then like as a separate version, i'd be addicted to it again.
I agree with everything you've said except for Skill based match making (atleast for this OG-retro mode), I like it how it was in the good old days - you can get many funny interactions and for the bad players a win will actually feel really cool and now the kids will have something to flex with again, just like back in the days haha

I definitely agree with the turbo building take and og movement. I was playing duos with a friend of mine and I decided to turn off turbo build and not try to use new movement (sprint slide mantle), I noticed that I was a lot more passive with my play style and build fights were a lot different. I played like how I did in s2 and 3 when I first started playing. When we won the game I got out of my chair and started screaming as the win felt a lot more real and it was before the bots were added back in the game. We got a win a few hours ago and it didn’t feel the same, so even though I enjoy OG a lot, I also agree that if we return to OG, it needs to FEEL like OG.

They could have did the same thing with reload. Because reload was made in Creative and there is a creative game called Rewind Royale which has everything OG Fortnite had. Epic could have did this and it could have been the real OG OG.

problem with epic games is that they don't focus on OG much, they're only focusing on battle royale, music festival and lego mode. It's gonna be very hard to get epic games attention right now.
if they are returning og fortnite for the last time ever and they want us to enjoy how the game was and the og seasons why not returning the exact same game we used to love for the love of god epic like the exact same visuals, sounds, even the little detail to the centred og health bar, the movements.. we really do miss this, why tf do they want to ruin this game till its last moments.
-remove turbo buiding -remove simple edit, edit on release and maybe make a delay on editing because of those who are still too fast -remove skill based matchmaking completely as well as bots -remove new movement mechanics and animation, reintroduce old movement as a whole - maybe improve the graphics because i've seen creative maps do better honestly... - change the icons of the guns that still have chapter 2 ones
I agree with most all of this aside from the graphics. One of the biggest changes throughout Fortnite has been graphical enhancements. Making retro graphics is the equivalent of asking them to make Fortnite again, which would likely need to be a standalone game. For what is supposed to be a limited time event that's asking for a lot. Again, everything else is fantastic. Fortnite died to me once turbo got added.
I agree we need a 3rd mode, but I don't think there should be a turbo building queue. turbo building will be added in season 3, so people should just enjoy feeling what fortnite was back in the day without turbo building, and in just a little while we'll all have turbo building again.

I can't agree with adding SBMM when there already is a ranked mode. It's so dumb to me that normal modes right now are just ranked without rank, where is the fun in that ? Back then if you got better you will make more kills and more wins, but right now being better just means harder lobbies and I hate that. Plus if they really remove turbo building and new movements I'm pretty sure lobbies without SBMM will be more casual since all the sweats will probably not play the mode anymore.

Most people, myself included, who played this game when we were 13/14 etc are now adults with real lives who don't have as much time on our hands. Our priorities are different so video games don't really hit the same. In all honesty, they could've released the game like this back in 2017 and it still would've been a smash hit, but we're blinded by nostalgia not just for the game, but for our lives in general. With all that said, yes I am completely washed, but fuck turbo building regardless.

Although epic would never do it, I’d really appreciate them making a discord server specifically for OG Fortnite with suggestions and bug reporting, I feel like the game modes big enough to warrant its own team of people who work on it, we need truly dedicated developers who WANT to give us what we had back in Chapter 1 that’s what I would love to see.

The mode's dead because of the bots and that isn't gonna change until bots are removed. The only fix is to improve the SBMM. They should increase the skill categories from 3 to like 12. This way, everyone get more evenly skilled enemies.
With SBMM, if your lobbies are too hard, after you've died for a couple of matches, it'll move you towards a lower category. This will repeat until you're at a comfortable spot. A skill category where you're not bully lower skilled players but also where you're not being bullied by higher skilled players. SBMM is a good thing when done right but the current Fortnite SBMM sucks hence why I said that they need to improve it.

Ive wrote a ton of these comments but here we go again. I think the graphics arent that big of a deal.. Yes the old ones are better, they feel more "nostalgic" but everyone will get used to them eventually. However, i dont understand how epic doesnt see the issue. People want the OLD mechanics back. We need no bot lobbies, hell even no sbmm. Especially id they add a no turbo build / edit option, that will even out the skill gap. We need old movement, the map just isnt made for you to zoom around it. Also, we dont wanna play zero build because its not what made us love fortnite. Also, as we got the old 999 mat cap, they should bring back the old bullet cap everything (for rockets especially), and make the rpg not as destructive as it is now. I always used to like the old Rpg, how it didnt destory half of the map, but rather the walls you were aiming at to blow the cover quickly. Anyways, the point is yes it would be cool to have retro graphics, id absolutely love it. But having og mechanics is what really matters imo

I think the sweat problem has to do a lot with the forced crossplay if forced crossplay wasn’t a thing I think people wouldn’t complain about sweats as much as they do now

I think they should keep sbmm but with no bots. Just so me and other average players don’t get killed in the first minute, and also not feel like we have our hand held. And tbh, I like that we don’t have the old movement, not everything from OG does was amazing. I actually wish they made the water swimmable. The Chapter 4 map was smaller and it had all the new fast movement. I really don’t care if Fortnite brings back the og graphics or doesn’t, never really paid attention to them changing tbh. Not only this considering how rare some of the major heals are like Med kits, big pots, and slurps are especially during endgame and yet they decided to say “nah I think turbo builds should stay” I feel like they knew this movement and all that would definitely buff sweats especially with how OP these weapons are and they expected the old players or just players who aren’t that good to switch and play chapter 6 but instead they just stopped playing the game…aaaaand OG is still getting higher numbers than chapter 6 😂

W take on it, man! Here's my full opinion on what Epic could do to fix it:
I see so many seeing that the old movement was so bad in fortnite, but if you think about it, the old movement wasn't bad, but we got the new stuff now and we've had that for years so obviously now the old stuff is gonna feel lame and boring, but I think most OG's would prefer if they did that.
I'm not a sweat but I'm not like bad either, just casual ig and all I want is an accurate fortnite OG with old icons on everything, no turbo build maybe, old movement and old game mechanics, and a ranked mode which actually HAS modern movement and modern mechanics. If they do that, imo it'll fix most of the issues with OG fortnite. Most sweats will probably hate the old movement and no sliding or anything like that, and they want to play ranked all the time, so they can go there, have all the modern stuff they want, but still play on the old map with the old guns and enjoy OG fortnite in their own way against other players who are like them, sweats. Casual players will be mostly left alone to fight against other casual players, and the sweats who don't want to switch over to ranked, would probably play OG fortnite against casual players, but there they wouldn't even really count as sweats because they would not be able to sprint, slide, mantle, hurdle, anything like that and maybe even not have turbo build either. It would make it hard for sweats to BE a sweat and they would just end up as a casual player too.
And just one last thing, Rewind royale is fun without all the insane lag it has most of the time and they did a great job at the representation of OG fortnite. They even have the OG map like if you look int he corner of your screen, the minimap texture it self looks identical to back then, and when you click M on your keyboard (if that's your map keybind), currently it looks way too modern. Smaller things like this, also needs to change to make it feel like OG. And they gotta remove that modern sniper that I for some reason found in a supply drop. I think it's a bolt action, not sure but it's like a modern sniper with modern icon and all that. They should make EVERYTHING completely OG to make people happier. Also SBMM needs to come back

I don't think that mode feels like the OG Fortnite. They brought the old mode but with the mechanics of the current version. For me i just want the OG Fortnite exactly as it was even with the graphics that were simpler back then like as a separate version, i'd be addicted to it again.

I agree with everything you've said except for Skill based match making (atleast for this OG-retro mode), I like it how it was in the good old days - you can get many funny interactions and for the bad players a win will actually feel really cool and now the kids will have something to flex with again, just like back in the days haha

I definitely agree with the turbo building take and og movement. I was playing duos with a friend of mine and I decided to turn off turbo build and not try to use new movement (sprint slide mantle), I noticed that I was a lot more passive with my play style and build fights were a lot different. I played like how I did in s2 and 3 when I first started playing. When we won the game I got out of my chair and started screaming as the win felt a lot more real and it was before the bots were added back in the game. We got a win a few hours ago and it didn’t feel the same, so even though I enjoy OG a lot, I also agree that if we return to OG, it needs to FEEL like OG.
Yeah I had a VERY similar experience. Isn’t it crazy how that pace makes us play less aggressively? I really enjoyed it. And yes! The wins are a lot more exciting for some reason!

I agree with most all of this aside from the graphics. One of the biggest changes throughout Fortnite has been graphical enhancements. Making retro graphics is the equivalent of asking them to make Fortnite again, which would likely need to be a standalone game.
For what is supposed to be a limited time event that's asking for a lot.
Again, everything else is fantastic. Fortnite died to me once turbo got added.

I can't agree with adding SBMM when there already is a ranked mode. It's so dumb to me that normal modes right now are just ranked without rank, where is the fun in that ? Back then if you got better you will make more kills and more wins, but right now being better just means harder lobbies and I hate that. Plus if they really remove turbo building and new movements I'm pretty sure lobbies without SBMM will be more casual since all the sweats will probably not play the mode anymore.
