The sound of this kind of truck it's just amazing.I'm from Brazil,I'm a truck driver too.And I will never buy another type of truck.Peterbilt.The best and beautiful ever . Classic
Loved the video...my Dad now retired - was an owner operator and use to drive a stretched 1975 362 Peterbilt cabover. The truck was originally a fuel truck but was converted with a 5th wheel to pull flat beds and van trailers. I had a lot of memories going with him when I was younger. Thanks again...!
What an amazing truck!... when it's running, just look at the nose of its bonnet from inside as in the video, it feels nothing can stop it. it's like a roaring beast with highest reputation on the road. Yes. POWER IS WITH YOU!
Thank you driver for showing us the inside view of how it is to be on them US roads. I'm european and thanking you sir for a very good inside view indeed. Showing us the life on the road. :-)
I thought exactly the same...hope he changes tyranny oil with the motor often...gotta wash out those gear teeth chips! I always prided myself on knowing where I was after one or two times through the numbers, any tranny, any pattern - but I teethed on dump trucks with auxiliaries and hi/lo sticks. Kind of like a game, to never crunch and stay out of lug range, or missed downshifts. That's the part of trucking I miss most; pride and freedom!
I felt like i was riding with my GRANPA (You are the Mr. Rogers of Truckers). Very soothing voice, patient and a little off with your National geography..(just like a granpa)..lol Looking forward to riding with you again...."Life is like a box of chocolates".....
Damn! Thanks for giving me the American trucking feel in Europe, I love you video, keep it up! I once had a buddy and his dad had a '91 379, that thing was a killer, the exhaust pipe was totally open, no mufflers at all, every mile was just pure kicking! When i'm older, I will sure buy a 379! But for now i'm just 15, but i can start saving money for the truck :p
Bucky Richardson II wish it was in my driveway, but it’s still sitting in my dreams next to my whole collection of dream cars :( but luckily 2 of those dream cars have become real so I’m getting there lol
Aaron Jones There is more to life than money dude. However, If you really want to make good money, ditch your corporate truck and find some specialized freight.
God, I miss the road. Still got my CDL and wouldn't have any trouble passing a DOT physical. Seriously thinking about quitting my desk job and climbing into the cab again. So if I go broke and lose my house and my girlfriend and my dog, it's all your fault, bike1300cc. :-) Loved this video. Really took me back to hauling cattle in and out of Montana and Wyoming back in the '80s.
Me too demont. Probably couldn't pass dot physical. Had a stress heart attack because of a woman and her meth head son. Couldn't handle the stress of east and west coast any more. Used to drive 359 s and 379 extended hoods for circle c out of Michigan and ran for Ken monfort out of Colorado.
Can you please PLEASE make more videos like this? I'll share them with people I know who loves trucks and who would love to see more of this. Keep this up, mate.
Whoever claims that a Fuller gear is too complicated should experience once every half a gear can make sure that you ever come. The guys know the number of gears and use them. Class! Respect from Germany.
Handsome Pete with a deep voice.. A little hard to watch with the movement of a head mounted camera, but it shows what a good driver does by constantly looking around checking the mirrors and watching the road. A real professional.
Dayum... that is one fine sounding Peter-car. Mine was an '02, 379 chicken hauler, 127" extended hood, 600 HP 3406E Cat, Tweety Bird yellow paint with viper red fenders and a sleeper mounted 72" chicken wing--258 lights on truck/trailer. Then I f'd up and got old... bad mistake!
Not a lot of people thank others anymore, for letting them in (especially in Canada). It's good to see drivers (like you did) still turning their 4ways on or flashing their trailer lights. Stay safe, and make more videos.
5:22 "Shift like so when towing heavy loads uphill (like forests, counries or the Moon) for maintaining desired velocity..." /Peterbuilt 379 Owner's manual/
Nice truck, straight pipes all the way to top looks better, angles takes away from the looks! Nice ride... after 30 driving i got out but if i had a truck like that i might have stayed a little longer lol!
I was allowed to drive a newer freightliner Cascadia around the test track here and I gotta say, props to you guys driving semis. hell of a lot of fun going up and down the box but man, your spatial awareness has to be out of this world to drive one of these beasts!
This is so cool! I've only wanted to be two things all my life, a pilot and a truck driver. I got my pilots license a few years ago, so my next goal is getting my class A license, I can't wait!
Yes, we love our trucks. Most of us Americans don't understand how Europeans drive such small trucks. I guess there aren't as many big roads and wide open spaces in Europe?
They look nothing like European models. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/59/1996_Volvo_WIA_6x4_conventional_tractor.jpg s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/f1/b0/56/f1b0560866d297f6721d7920cbc20d52.jpg
That's true, there are more narrower roads but also European trucks have much more tecnology, better braking systems, much better interiors (Americans are bigger but that's all).
Well, with the Euro6, Europe has the most powerful trucks (R730 and FH16 750). In fact, the US emission regulations are stricter than european ones. That explains, for example, that the D16 engine rates 750 HP in Europe (Volvo FH) and around 550 HP in USA (Volvo VN).
Dont Sell your Contry short! Norway has some pretty Cool Trucks too! but You will only find them out in the country on longer Roads.. I Love The Scania T Cabs.
Ayatollah Khomeni Thats true though. I do live in a small town out in the country, so i have seen a couple of T-cabs. You also got Longline (Scania aswell) But they dont produce the T-cab anymore, or the longline, cause of the hood makes the truck too long with a normal trailer :/ But my dad do know a guy who got a pete 379, but he still cant use it with a normal sized trailer.
Oh my gosh that interior is gorgeous.
That's exactly what I said when he got back in the truck and sun lit the thing up 😍 I'm going for the same look in my Pete 😎
Hello there.......
Brings back the memories of me and my dad on the open road going all over the US

no need a radio...music comes from the front....
MrTuca999 so fuckin true
I'm from Europe and I'd choose an American Truck over a MAN anyday
Back before dimmercrap "political correctness" we called radio listeners what they are. They don't have a clue what their machine is telling them.
It's bacon to my ears
So true
Listen that engine man!!!! American trucks rules dude!!!! Cheers from Argentina
What an amazing truck!... when it's running, just look at the nose of its bonnet from inside as in the video, it feels nothing can stop it. it's like a roaring beast with highest reputation on the road.
Yes. POWER IS WITH YOU!
That pete sounding amazing who needs music in the cab when you can enjoy the amazing sound that CAT c16 is making.
A doctor would say: "There is no need for viagra, just start an engine like this one and listen for a few seconds."

This guy has only hit one smooth shift! He’s killing me with all the grinding! Nice truck though!
Don't you hate it? An awesome truck like that and a young wipper snapper who can't drive it right
I thought exactly the same...hope he changes tyranny oil with the motor often...gotta wash out those gear teeth chips! I always prided myself on knowing where I was after one or two times through the numbers, any tranny, any pattern - but I teethed on dump trucks with auxiliaries and hi/lo sticks.

+Aaron Jones How can you stand it?
+Paul the ruler of All I think about my paycheck and I'm back happy
Aaron Jones
There is more to life than money dude.
However, If you really want to make good money, ditch your corporate truck and find some specialized freight.
+Paul the ruler of All I always wanted to haul logs or flatbed
God, I miss the road. Still got my CDL and wouldn't have any trouble passing a DOT physical. Seriously thinking about quitting my desk job and climbing into the cab again. So if I go broke and lose my house and my girlfriend and my dog, it's all your fault, bike1300cc. :-)

Demont Washington , by this time you're probably on the road?😂
Yeah I agree but your You may be wrong!

Handsome Pete with a deep voice.. A little hard to watch with the movement of a head mounted camera, but it shows what a good driver does by constantly looking around checking the mirrors and watching the road. A real professional.
Been on the road since 77'...............the 379 is the most comfortable truck I have ever driven..................period. No second best.
" Peterbilt POV ".
I like how u put it on your head and the viewers will see how cool it is to drive a truck
Dayum... that is one fine sounding Peter-car.
Thank you for getting down and shooting the whole truck. Beautiful
Not a lot of people thank others anymore, for letting them in (especially in Canada). It's good to see drivers (like you did) still turning their 4ways on or flashing their trailer lights. Stay safe, and make more videos.
Eh. I do it sometimes but if I'm flying down a lane and someone tries to get in in front of me....... I'm flashing my high beams, not the hazards.
