I don't know if you are aware about the impact that this video may have had in some lifes... It inspired me a lot about the kind of life that I wanted. When I first saw this video I was studying computer engineering, hating my life and myself and being so pesimistic about my future life, seated in front of a computer for the rest of my life, how the hell could I be happy living like that? And when I saw you, the first thought that came to my mind was... Why can't I be happy as him too? What I only need is just a job that makes me happy, forget the salary, forget the bosses and the stress... So I left the college (it was during my finals of second year) and started to work for myself and my dream lifestyle, working with big machines, out of the office and having always an adventure to explain. So, now I can happily tell you that, in part thanks to your upload, I'm a proud freight train driver. Thank you again and my regards.
I'm just coming back into working on this channel, and somehow never saw this comment. That's truly awesome, man! It means a lot to hear that about something I didn't think was a big deal years ago. I'm actually in kind of a similar situation, I hated living in AZ... so now I live in Montana, and use these same skills to do entirely different things. I'm now beginning to document that, as I'm reminded more and more that it may inspire people to chase what makes them happier. Thanks for commenting, it means a lot.
+zachary lampman Nope, no Freightliner on our line. We run Peterbilt and Kenworth, we have a Mack running a side dump, and two Ford 8800 water trucks. Thanks for the comment!
I know people probably don't care but I'll say it anyway. I'm a truck mechanic, only 1 year of experience and i'm so in love with trucks I play American Truck Sim in my free time. You are living the life I wish I was living. My dad is a trucker and told me its not an easy work because of the hours so I should do something else, I think about quitting mechanic for driving trucks everyday lol shoutout to you truckers. you dont get respected enough on the roads.
I've commented on this video so many times already but there just something so cool and cinematic about it! The video quality, the music, the scenery, the sounds, and especially the skilled driving are just fantastic and so cool! There isn't an American flag anywhere in this but I still get that awesome American vibe from watching it!
snuffbandit lol trucking is fun I'm 16 and I drive are farms 94 mack ch613 quad axle wit the 9 speed. I'm one of the few kids at my school who can still drive a stick
im obsessed with rigs specially longnose petes n kennys and in skool for cdl now. I literally watch this video every day it's my favorite one on TH-cam

Watched this video 5 years ago and now I’m back and man can I say how this has impacted my life so much I wanted to be a truck driver so bad after this video and now I’m on my way to getting my license and a CDL to drive dump trucks😂
That's rad! I haven't been able to keep up with running this channel over the years, but I'm always so surprised by how many people have made actual life decisions based on some of these videos. That's something I never would have expected. I'm glad to hear you've found a path though, that's good stuff! Thanks for being here!
Man I got to ride passenger in this exact model truck (or very similar) when I was 14, good old memories. We'd haul logs and mulch from cape cod to Rhode island. Those were the good ol days.
Love the video i myself being 19 i have gone through a driver training course i loved driving the trucks but i couldnt find anywhere to hire me on so i started diesel tech schooling then ended up finding a place but have school debts looking forward to this 😁
Well if you work on big trucks, think of it this way.. if you ever become Owner Op. then you will have skills to maintain your own truck and inspect a used one.
Plenty of options. Think about owner operator and make your own money at your own time. Im about to be doing this once I buy my first rig and just run NM, AZ, and TX. Plenty of loads here in NM
Thank you for share the video. ❤️🚛 Bendiciones y buen retorno a casa para todas y todos los camioneros del mundo, saludos de un futuro camionero de la CDMX. 🇲🇽❤️
Very cool video! I am in love with American trucks, they are very different from the trucks here in Brazil. What version of this exchange? Very similar with the "dry box" here from BR
I know it's been a while but I have a question: how do you know where to drive? I mean, you don't even have a GPS. Please answer. I'll appreciate it so much
In my case here, it's all local driving, in an area that I've lived in since I was born.. so, I just know where I'm going. Lol. When I was an Owner-Operator and running the Lower-48, I had a GPS... was just easier. You still had to maintain an awareness though, because you can't always trust the GPS. I used Google Maps to examine route legs to know ahead of time. If you do it long enough, you get to know the whole country a bit.
I love this video! I watch it a few times a month. Thanks to I now like The Black Keys and a few months ago I went and saw them live!! Can you play some more music in future videos or has youtube made you stop because of copy right strikes? Love your vids
the ultimate american truck simulator

I dunno if I'm gonna get a response, but with grain running, do you use E-Log or no?
For what we do, we don't have to run logs at all. Within 100 miles of our home facility, so no logs required.
