April 2024 Book of the Month Recap Discussion - Chp. 6-11

Marielle and Megan discuss chapters 6-11 of April's BotM, The Wolf and the Wildflower by Stacy Reid.

James and Jules do some touching and teasing in the treehouse.

Dancing lessons do NOT go well for James, and he takes off into the woods again. But later that night he bonds with his sister for the first time since his return, and it's very emotional.

After, he smells Jules while walking toward his bedroom. She comes out of her room and they end up kissing for the first time. It's HOT, but she says it can't happen again. She cannot shoulder the consequences were anyone to find out about them.

But soon enough, they're out in the woods again, and back in the treehouse. They're still exchanging truths, and they end up kissing again, and a little more.

Jules gets the crazy idea to attend the ball at the estate, dressed as a woman, after jealously watching him interact with all the ladies who have arrived for the house party. Even the potential consequences don't dissuade her. So, she shows up, and tries to blend in, until James sniffs her out, and they dance together. This causes everyone to stare because he hasn't danced with anyone else, of course. Afterward, he leaves, and she follows soon behind...
