Marielle and Megan discuss chapters 22-End of May's BotM, Bride by Ali Hazelwood.

Misery wakes up after recovering, desperately needing to feed. She goes down to the kitchen to see Alex and Lowe chatting. They found the man they believe must be Ana's father, but he's recently deceased.

They set a dinner at the ex-governor's house to find out more about the man, as they were friends. Then, Lowe says he wants Misery to drink from him instead of her blood bag. Things get hot QUICKLY.🔥

They find out what they need to know from the ex-governor, and go to meet her brother, Owen, who tells her he's planning a coup to take her father's council seat. She's worried for him. Also, she realizes at this meeting that the Were collateral, Gabi, is NOT Lowe's mate after all...

They go to her old apartment, and they end up finally doing the deed. Then they talk and she tells him she's finally figured everything out. SHE is his mate, and she feels the same way about him. But that MONSTER Lowe tells her he's "sorry she got the wrong idea about them" and basically tells her she's wrong. It's HORRIBLE.

Lowe leaves, and sends Mick to pick her up, but Mick drugs her! She wakes up in an attic room somewhere, with SERENA!! So it's both awesome, and terrible. They make a plan and escape together, only to find out who's really been behind this entire thing...

Thankfully, Owen, Serena, and Lowe save the day. But Misery doesn't really know where she stands now with Lowe, and continuing to live with the Weres. She goes to see him, and they clear the air. He finally admits the truth, and she tells him that she can be in love with her stupid Were husband if she wants to be. It's great.

Epilogue from Lowe's POV is sweet, and sets up for book 2, which will hopefully be happening!!
