I purchased the A7IV a couple of weeks ago (Feb 2023). I've been shooting Nikon for the last 17 years and had been waiting for any sign of a Z6III release. With no announcements made at this year's CES or CP+, I started looking at competitors. What convinced me to move to Sony wasn't necessarily this camera, but the weight of the lenses Sony is releasing. This camera is replacing my D750, which is always combined with a 70-200 (save for a few occasions where I'll attached a 85mm or 135mm prime for really dark shoots). The weight of the Sony 70-200 GMII is incredible. As someone who has shot for 12-16 hours a day, saving a pound of weight will have benefits on my health and my ability to keep shooting at the end of the day. The fact that the lens doesn't seem to sacrifice image quality is incredible.
Thank you for your videos on the camera as they've helped me familiarize with Sony's system. It's a great camera, and being able to practice taking photos with my new energetic puppy has made me realize how much I've been missing out by sticking with DSLRs for so long (though, for budgetary reasons, it will be another couple of years before I can replace my D850).
In my opinion, even 15 months after release, there is no camera out there that provides the value this camera provides. The R6 is nice, but not worth the expense (not to mention how Canon's 70-200mm sacrificed IQ for weight). The Z6II is almost two and a half years old, and was only a minor upgrade to the original Z6. I'm really happy with my purchase and am looking forward to some of my upcoming shoots in Rome and London this summer. Video has never been my thing due to the limitations of shooting Nikon DSLRs, but I'm hoping to get more into video capture with this camera. Right now only have the 70-200 GMII but might look at the 24mm 1.4 GM for capturing wider videos at some of the locations I'll be shooting. Thanks again!

I bought the A7SIII almost a year ago and just ordered the A7IV so I can have a photo dedicated camera, but also one that can serve as a B video cam to my A7SIII video beast. Great video!

The lcd is supposedly 288 dpi according to some forum post. Seems high res enough though of course a better one would be nice.
