I own the a7IV as well as an a9, a7III and a7c I have never experienced the buffer issue you talked about. I too came from Nikon system and have never looked back. I don't have a problem telling anyone to buy an a7IV.
I had a similar issue with a very old camera of mine, its a canon 400d/rebel xti and never was able to fix it fully but the thing that works for me is i just put it in jpeg + raw and when its saving to both it never displayed that issue, of course that means i dont get to use the full buffer but at least i dont get embarrassed when i need to go to to program or switch to apperture priority or something. Hope it helps
Yep. The A7IV readout speed ~3x slower than the ZV-E1 which has the same readout speed as the FX3 of around 8ms hence they have zero rolling shutter in video vs A7IV which has considerable rolling shutter at full frame.
Good review, I love my A7IV which I primarily use for video. As a content creator it's helped me have more confidence in talking to my audience. I wish SONY had a remote for their A7 series, the after market remotes are limited in capability, no ability to browse/playback video.
I enjoyed your video. Thank you. It would be fun to see a debate between you and your A7IV and an equally determined Leica M10-R user and his 50mm f/0.95 Noctilux lens. In the end, one or the other of you would win the debate and the loser - by previous agreement - would get to shoot the winner.
Awesome video, subbed
Thanks! Appreciate it.

Wow! That is a lot of different cameras! What’s the next one to buy on your list?
Do you think it’s worth getting in touch with Sony about it?

Hmm. That is strange! I’ll have to give that a go. Currently, I’m only shooting raw.
I’ll have to try this tomorrow!
Thanks for the tip. 🤞it works.
Is it true that out of the a7iv the ZVE1 and the fx3 the a7iv has the best dynamic range but the worst read out speed

The same thing happens to me with that ghost buffer! I have 2 A7IVs but it only happens to me in one. I didn't find the solution either.
Wow! Finally someone else who has the same issue!
It’s such a strange one.

Thanks for watching!
I’ve never thought that! What remote do you use?

I love the idea! As long as it’s a “photo shoot” 😅
Because your camera Buffer is slow due to slow SD card.
I’ve tried a lot of different options and this only happens when I’m doing single photos. Not even burst mode. Very strange.
