So people tend to say Moon Cancer is BB's class in FGO because BB is a cancer for the Mooncell, but it seems that that class name appears when the Mooncell takes control of BB. I find that misconception rather ironic. For my part I knew a bit of CCC by reading the old translation of Gil's route that ZVN used for his playthrough, but I did not remember that detail. Really good lore videos. Keep that up!

@dedpal That would imply Nasu only makes them suffer. Parvati is also a thing and Nasu wrote the CCC event especifically to give BB, Melt,and Passionlip a proper epilogue.
Because sakura has biggest potential? i mean, fuyuki!sakura has *_her own_* origin, "hollow/imaginary numbers", something that exist _outside_ known mage origin, not even _rin_ have that. BB are living glitch, while mara is _already powerfull_ by himself, he just took dark sakura's body to annoy parvati.

If you go all the way back to my earliest videos you'll find that particular gameplay. Xeno-games are my favorite, but I never got to the level of beating Telethia on foot. That's incredible.

Played Umu for the first play through, Casko for 2nd, Archer for 3rd, and Gil for the True End. If you've played CCC, going to the true end with anyone but the bros is really painful.

Nameless and Gil were proud of you for taking this last step, supporting you and made sure you leaving them was not something to be sad about; they gave you the feeling of having no regrets with their sad goodbye. Casko and Nero were different in that their words contrasted with what they looked and acted like. Both of them wanted Hakuno to be happy, but wanted him/her to stay as well. Unlike the guys, the girls showed more attachment, so it gives off a small feeling of abandonment in addition to farewells. Also, thanks for the prejudice and passive aggressive way of insult. I would have personally just went with a direct insult and something that can actually sting instead of going this roundabout way to doing things, but you do you I guess.

Not only that the game developer who made the Fate Extra and CCC went defunct years ago. However thier CEO is still around. Given the current situation with Sony its very unlikely for a remake of CCC even possible without going through the ground up (because of that defunct company also deleated the game code data)

Yeah Gilgamesh basically says that since it was never really recorded in his myth that he used Vasavi Shakti, he can't find a Noble Phantasm in his treasury which corresponds to it.
Aw, I expected you to mention about gil's AUO cast off, well a pic is good enough. Kinda felt bad on how we could never take melt or lip on our side, also if you are playing as hakunon and nameless as partner then melt will actually fall for nameless rather then the mc. Gatoh was a true men among men for what he did. In this game karna proves why he is called the hero of charity, his selflessness in how he gave his armor to jinako, or in the end how sacrifised himself to cut a path open back to the world. Sad that we never got this game in english localization, I wanted to play it myself, well atleast i can read the foxtail manga
I just finished the game, and by doing a bunch of translation on my own (I don't really know japanese tho) as well as some research on the lore, I could get the most out of the story. That said, I think you did an amazing job to put together all the crazy stuff that's going on, considering the very little information we can work with at the moment. This game is imo the most inspired Nasu work, from the characters, context as well as the story all of it made me feel things that no other game ever could so far (but maybe cause it is quite literally a sakura fan paradise) Btw the english translation is apparently pretty close to finish, they made even a progress page and have like 70-80% of the game done. Any chances of you making a playthrough? assuming the translation comes soon enough lol

Between the 17+ rating, the Secret Gardens of the characters, the punishment scenes, and other things, that could have been the nail in the coffin for localization. Which is a shame, because it's not like there aren't mature themed games made and released in other countries.

The official explanation Aksys gave for not localizing the game was that the game released when the PSP was basically dead. Aksys was not localizing PSP games when Fate/Extra CCC released. The only other companies that have released Fate games, like Marvelous, also had stopped releasing PSP games (in Marvelous/Xseed's case their last PSP game was Trails in the Sky SC and they only released it on PSP as an apology for taking too long in localizing the game).
I imagined a concept of Suzuki Satoru/Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord becoming a servant in The Moon-cell. He becomes a servant after waking up from "a dream" of his exploits in The New World but do to the shock falls into a catatonic state and lives out the rest of his days in a pathetic misery. In his last dying moments, he looks out a window and somehow sees the moon through the polluted sky of his Earth. Due to unknowingly spiritron hacking, he wakes up as a Caster Class-Servant in the form of Ainz Ooal Gown once more. With Jinako Carigiri as his Master, he can relate to her due to his similar history as a shut-in gamer and he discovers "his dream" of The New World actually happened somehow. He discovers this via his Noble Phantasm, Great Tomb of Nazarick as his NPCs have clear memories of said events.
I still don't understand how Fate/Grand Order is connected to CCC, I just finished that ark and I'm still puzzled as to how these different Fate Series are connected...
So OtakuDaiKun: In your humblest of opinions, how do you view Extra/CCC in regards to which routes are canon or happened? I make the argument that ALL four servant routes PLUS a combination of certain Extella Zero tid bits are canon. Gilgamesh CCC happened as shown in Extella. We know Nero and Tamamo happened as well thanks to being selection choices as well as the fact that CCC's "default" ending rotates back to the start of Fate/Extra.(Whether you make the argument that Tamamo was the "first" playthrough of Extra to CCC and Nero was the "second" playthrough of Extra after CCC rotates back to the first game. Archer playthrough happened, according to Extella once again, but it was Female Hakuno that was his Master. And then there is how in Extella Zero, it was Hakuno and Nero+Tamamo that reaches the end of Extra/Extella Zero. Also: great videos!
All routes are canon. The Extella route is one route, but it doesn't invalidate Foxtail or the route where Gilgamesh was Hakuno's servant. Or even the one where Nameless was Hakuno's servant. Just chalk it up to Multiverse.
You might call this a cop out but I consider everything and nothing canon. It's a multiverse and there's no real verdict to which one is truer than another.
The true CCC route has not been translated yet so we are unfortunately missing critical input on the events of what really transpired. For example Kiara corrupting Sakura to go rogue and the creation of BB as a backup ai for sakuras memories. How the mooncell got corrupted and BB actually stopoing it. Or more confusing BB's initial goal to free humanities desires and make them go extinct. These points were explored in the true route but unfortunately we have no means to experience it in english at this time...
@@otakudaikun Yes we do get an overview but its such a shame we cant fully experience it. The CCC route has been very well received and it clears a lot of headscratchers from the normal route. ZVN is currently uploading the english translated true route but it seems it might take a while since it is dialogue heave and the translators already have their hands full:/

Casko and Nero were different in that their words contrasted with what they looked and acted like. Both of them wanted Hakuno to be happy, but wanted him/her to stay as well. Unlike the guys, the girls showed more attachment, so it gives off a small feeling of abandonment in addition to farewells.
Also, thanks for the prejudice and passive aggressive way of insult. I would have personally just went with a direct insult and something that can actually sting instead of going this roundabout way to doing things, but you do you I guess.

The event actually influenced me to play the game, and while I used that blog to understand the basic story (though I used Nero, so didn’t get to know what she says oof) I had to tackle the CCC route mostly blind, save for a basic what-to-do guide. It’s really nice to understand what was going on in the CCC route now, haha
That being said, I’m actually working on a basic guide for people to use if they want to play the game. It’s only a simple word document, but I’ve got both the normal and CCC routes done. I just need to get the SG events for Tamamo and Nameless down and I’ll probably submit somewhere...

Yeah Gilgamesh basically says that since it was never really recorded in his myth that he used Vasavi Shakti, he can't find a Noble Phantasm in his treasury which corresponds to it.

Kinda felt bad on how we could never take melt or lip on our side, also if you are playing as hakunon and nameless as partner then melt will actually fall for nameless rather then the mc.
Gatoh was a true men among men for what he did. In this game karna proves why he is called the hero of charity, his selflessness in how he gave his armor to jinako, or in the end how sacrifised himself to cut a path open back to the world.

I just finished the game, and by doing a bunch of translation on my own (I don't really know japanese tho) as well as some research on the lore, I could get the most out of the story. That said, I think you did an amazing job to put together all the crazy stuff that's going on, considering the very little information we can work with at the moment.
This game is imo the most inspired Nasu work, from the characters, context as well as the story all of it made me feel things that no other game ever could so far (but maybe cause it is quite literally a sakura fan paradise)
Btw the english translation is apparently pretty close to finish, they made even a progress page and have like 70-80% of the game done. Any chances of you making a playthrough? assuming the translation comes soon enough lol

Well the first game is getting a remake now-
The official explanation Aksys gave for not localizing the game was that the game released when the PSP was basically dead. Aksys was not localizing PSP games when Fate/Extra CCC released. The only other companies that have released Fate games, like Marvelous, also had stopped releasing PSP games (in Marvelous/Xseed's case their last PSP game was Trails in the Sky SC and they only released it on PSP as an apology for taking too long in localizing the game).
There's no satisfying excuse either way.

I imagined a concept of Suzuki Satoru/Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord becoming a servant in The Moon-cell. He becomes a servant after waking up from "a dream" of his exploits in The New World but do to the shock falls into a catatonic state and lives out the rest of his days in a pathetic misery. In his last dying moments, he looks out a window and somehow sees the moon through the polluted sky of his Earth. Due to unknowingly spiritron hacking, he wakes up as a Caster Class-Servant in the form of Ainz Ooal Gown once more. With Jinako Carigiri as his Master, he can relate to her due to his similar history as a shut-in gamer and he discovers "his dream" of The New World actually happened somehow. He discovers this via his Noble Phantasm, Great Tomb of Nazarick as his NPCs have clear memories of said events.

So OtakuDaiKun: In your humblest of opinions, how do you view Extra/CCC in regards to which routes are canon or happened? I make the argument that ALL four servant routes PLUS a combination of certain Extella Zero tid bits are canon. Gilgamesh CCC happened as shown in Extella. We know Nero and Tamamo happened as well thanks to being selection choices as well as the fact that CCC's "default" ending rotates back to the start of Fate/Extra.(Whether you make the argument that Tamamo was the "first" playthrough of Extra to CCC and Nero was the "second" playthrough of Extra after CCC rotates back to the first game. Archer playthrough happened, according to Extella once again, but it was Female Hakuno that was his Master. And then there is how in Extella Zero, it was Hakuno and Nero+Tamamo that reaches the end of Extra/Extella Zero.

All routes are canon. The Extella route is one route, but it doesn't invalidate Foxtail or the route where Gilgamesh was Hakuno's servant. Or even the one where Nameless was Hakuno's servant. Just chalk it up to Multiverse.
You might call this a cop out but I consider everything and nothing canon. It's a multiverse and there's no real verdict to which one is truer than another.

The true CCC route has not been translated yet so we are unfortunately missing critical input on the events of what really transpired.
For example Kiara corrupting Sakura to go rogue and the creation of BB as a backup ai for sakuras memories.
How the mooncell got corrupted and BB actually stopoing it. Or more confusing BB's initial goal to free humanities desires and make them go extinct. These points were explored in the true route but unfortunately we have no means to experience it in english at this time...
Thankfully we have a pretty good idea what it looks like at least.
@@otakudaikun Yes we do get an overview but its such a shame we cant fully experience it. The CCC route has been very well received and it clears a lot of headscratchers from the normal route.
