Hi a fellow Singaporean here but now I'm based in Australia, I also have a Filipino nanny too! My lovely Nanay Tess who's been with me and my family for 25 years now, too bad she couldn't come with me here in Australia when I moved caused she insisted of staying to take care of my younger siblings back home in sg, I wouldn't be the person that I am today if not for her and if I had the chance to go back and chose a nanny I would still be choosing Nanay Tess, the values and unconditional love she integrated to us is something that I would always be thankful for, she's already in her late 50's now too, this time we make it a priority to repay her with everything that she did for us which I know isn't enough but I hope she knows how much she is loved! my family will always treat her as part of the family, we love her so much! Also I want to give a salute to all the Filipino nannies and all overseas workers in general, thank you so much for your service, big respect to all of you!🙌
Thank you for your recognition, but still a lot of people out there, don’t understand why we can worked a very long years to one employer?.but anyway only us know why??? Not every helpers or employers are lucky to have one another. A good employer or helper is counted to be one of endangered species though??🤣🤣🤣🤣because so many out there is a bitches inhuman employer? And so with dishonest, nasty unreliable helpers.?? When I say Nasty??? Only us Filipinos knows if what is that mean?👍😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have so much respect for all Overseas Filipino workers who sacrificed to leave the country just to be in service to another family abroad. My mom was once an OFW too and I’m proud of it. We are known to be hardworking and very dedicated to our work that’s why many employers prefer Filipino workers because of our work ethic. Salute…Bravo..🙌👏🙌👏🙌
wow..bravooo...it's really hard to find an employer who would love a nanny as her own family..especially I Singapore 🇸🇬..but for almost 25 years of service of ate in your house of course she deserve to be loved and appreciated ❤..godbless
I'm Filipino, and Ilonggo.Yeah we do use atchuete in our adobo.Oh by the way,Ive been working for my current employers for 16 yrs now.(renewing my contract nxt week for another yrs) a mth before the first child is born. And yeah its a nice feeling that now the kids are so grown up and well behave.Whenever they have friends who come over to play or sleepover,my alaga always say to to them that I am their 2nd mother.I'm super proud Yaya🙂❤️
That’s really nice to give in return just to appreciate all the good things she have done to the family and I see the reflections of also the way she take the family vise versa well done guy’s to the surprised . Thelma from USA
Thank you very much for being NICE , KIND AND SWEET to our KABABAYAN ( COUNTRYMEN ). AND TREAT HER AS FAMILY 👪 . PROUD OF YOU . THANK YOU ALSO FOR SHOWCASING ONE OF OUR FILIPINO DISHES
It's good to appreciate your helper for doing a great job everyday, it's not easy to work far from their family. I salute all the employers who are treated their helper a part of their family and making them feel comfortable around them...
this is such a nice video. I'm tearing up tho because I wish I could have done this to my nanny, she had been with the family for 22 years. She passed away last august from delta covid. The house is never the same without her. Thank you for this content I really enjoyed it and made me reminisce the precious time I shared with her.
Wow!!! Miss Lanie, knows adobo Ilonggo!!! Pilipinos must envy her! Because now, Pilipinos, even most of the Ilonggos, don't cook adobo this way (this days) anymore... They do the sweet Tagalog one.
In reality nobody really cares about Adobo in the Philippines. It is not something people serve in parties and order in restaurants. Adobo is only promoted in social media.
@@ninechanie Maayo guid kay may nagreply nga Ilonggo... Maayo guid kung amo pa ina ang adobo sa inyo! Diri abi sa amon, sa mga karenderia. Adobo nga tagalog ang ginabaligya, mayam-is pa!
@@henceldeanon9233ahh that's unfortunate, cguro damo pa preservatives or commercialized seasonings. Probably because I live somewhere in a mountain-ish area that we still kinda preserved our culture specially how we cook hehhe, like for example rather than stove and gas, we prefer to use pots and dry wood instead hehhe
Fantastic to treat another human being with respect. Thank u for that. I hate the word helper. To me they are our extended family.. I call them auntie.. 🙏
thanks for sharing this video nanny housemaid helper or yaya in tagalog is going outside my country to work abroad and give the need of here family in the Philippines but sometimes some of the employer abuse the helper but you'are big heart b coz you treat your Nanny as your family also thank you for your suprise them love your content i well support your channel also thank you
I salute to all these Filipino nannies who are also a Mom back home. They have to take of these kids, but unable to take care of their own kids. It’s the ultimate sacrifice just for them to give their own kids a brighter future. I hope it will change soon that they dont have to go overseas to find a job; not only for nannies but for all OFW including my self.
I watch your food shows and i like even short ones that pop out from in between main segments. Admire how you try to make the househelps or nannies happy by cooking for them to return her generous beart. We also do that to some of our nannies. Cook and buy other stuff if they decide to go home for their birthday.
Hi guy's I am just a new subscriber of yours -and I already loved your channel. I too have my Granny who is a Nanny in UK and her employers there treat her as a part of the family. Thank you guys for treating my fellow Filipino! BTW can you do a shout out as greeting to my brother who just got married Last April 07. They are Julian and Jonalyn Bejar. Hope you can notice me.
Lanie doesn't seem like she has her own children. But I do know that many other domestic helpers are mothers and those mothers would go to other countries to take care of other people's children while they can't even take care of their own children back at home.
In the Asian continent, domestic helpers and nannies are essential to a country's economy but they're usually looked down on and gets the lowest salary despite of the fact that they work more than 8 hours a day. A lot of them gets abused as well especially when their employers would have a bad day at work or in their marriage and would take it out on them just because they're such an easy target. They legally need more protection and they should definitely get paid more. The governments are not doing enough to protect these women. I'm not even Filipino. I just grew up with a Filipino step mom and she'd always tell me stories. One of this is about her childhood neighbor, her childhood neighbor was brutally attacked and raped in Singapore by her Chinese employer in 2007. The victim with the help of other domestic helpers filed a police report and went to the embassy. The employer negotiated with the recruiter and the victim and basically, the victim didn't get any justice. She was only paid her salary for 6 months which the employer owed her that to begin with but the local employer got away with abusing a foreign woman. The wife along with the children of the employer didn't abuse the victim but they've never stopped the crimes either even if they know that it's happening and could see the visible scars on her body. This story made me curious so I started looking up the abuse statistics online regarding foreign domestic helpers in Singapore and the rest of Asia. I found out that this happens everyday just based on the numbers alone. It depends on who took the survey and in what Asian country but on average, the numbers ranges from 30% to 60%. These are all kinds of abuse from verbal to sexual to physical to taking them in hostage via their passport and salary etc. My heart aches for these women.

If you treat your helpers well, they'll love your kids and raise them well.
