I love downsizing. It seems no matter how much I sell or donate, I always find more that I don't need or use. Now, if only I could apply that to craft materials! I'm glad you kept your small harp. That would have been difficult to let go! Looking forward to seeing what you've got done in the next week.
Lol, yes there is always more that can go, but at least you use your craft materials…unlike me who seems to just tote them around! I’m so glad I hung onto my little harp too. ❤️
I'm looking forward to seeing your progress next week! So glad you got the funds to pay off the credit card. That's a huge weight off, not having that debt!
Thanks for the inspiration as always… I’ve started the disassembling of my home. I’ve had one yard sale and have another planned for next week. Although I’m trying to stay positive I’m definitely having emotional ups and downs. I do know it will all work out in the end.. I’ll be excited to see your shuttle bus 💖
@@chasingthemoonrv Hi Zia 👋. I do extended travels mostly in my old high top van, sometimes if I’ll only be out 2-4 weeks I just car camp in my Honda Element. I have a “no build” build in both vehicles… I have planned for years to be a full time RVer, but the older I got the more my dreams changed. When I was 30 I wanted my husband and I to have the biggest 5th wheel and biggest, most luxurious truck to pull it, lol. He and I are still friends but no longer married and as the years have rolled on I more enjoy simple travels in my van or car. Camping for free when I’m able in the Western US or staying in less expensive state or local parks when I’m not near US Bureau of Land Management areas. About 1 1/2 years ago I bought a 45 year old tiny mobile home near Yuma, AZ. I am only keeping what will fit in the tiny trailer. I have advanced cancer is the main reason I need to sell my paid for home, so I can get further treatments. I’ve already depleted most of my retirement savings in the last three years… medical care in the US is beyond disastrous (as it is in many countries) I got the tiny trailer for an unbelievably low price and having a home base there (in Arizona) will enable me to get health insurance again for about half of what it was costing me here in Texas…. I’ve wanted to pare down my possessions for years and this is my opportunity to do so, even if it’s under less than ideal circumstances. I’m praying I can get my house sold in the next few months and maybe travel some this fall. That’s all up in the air with my health as well as my dogs health. My downsizing and moving has been so slow as I’m doing it by myself. I’m finally seeing better progress getting rid of stuff and making small home repairs/updates to sell my home to the next Blessed family. My house was built in 1900 and I’ve lovingly restored it in the many years I’ve been here. I will be sad to leave it of course but at the same time joyful that I’m leaving it in much better shape than I found it 💖. I’ll be excited for the next family to be its stewards.. I’m very excited for you and your move into your shuttle bus! I know you’ve also had an exceptionally hard year with your accident, subsequent recovery and the loss of beautiful, sweet Charlie. I’m not sure about others but I really envisioned my own retirement years as very different from how it’s actually turning out. I have to think that’s very true for many of us in the 60-80 age range…I’m not sure many of us could have anticipated the cost of housing and food in our current times. I still feel Blessed to even have assets to sell to keep going financially, that’s a lot more than so many have in today’s economy. If I am able to overcome my health challenges I’m not opposed to downsizing further into a very small RV or van full time but to be more comfortable for treatments I wanted the little stationary park model trailer for now. I’m open to whatever Blessings life brings me 💖 Best wishes dear lady!! Looking forward to your next post!
@@mtaylor2901thank you for sharing your story with me and I wish you so very well on your health journey. @@chasingthemoonrv I might have missed it, but it would be a joy to see and hear you incorporate playing that harp during ur videos:-) Even if only a few chords at a time:-) btw I'm south of u in NW WA. Have a good Day!
How lucky are we to live in the beautiful Pacific North West Angela! 😊 Lol, it truly would only be a few chords, as it has been a good few years since I’ve played, but if I practice a bit I might be brave enough in the future. ❤️🎼🎶
Happily, my family are very supportive Nadine. I’ve found it interesting that it’s mainly the men that worry and aren’t entirely comfortable, or happy with my choice, while most of the women say, “You go girl!” 🚐❤️🇨🇦
So glad that you decided to keep your beautiful harp!
Me too Janine!

The harp is beautiful and hope we can hear you play sometime ❤
It is a lovely instrument. I haven’t played for a long time, but perhaps with a little practice I might be brave enough to post a little clip. ❤️🎼🎶
I totally understand that feeling of lightness when you get rid of stuff. Good for you!
Yes, it feels sooo good Adelina! ❤️

Hi Trisha! I can play, but haven’t for a good few years. I’m more than a little rusty, but looking forward to changing that!
