After i had V4 2019 for a test ride i was so shocked by how hot it was, but fortunately i found a solution for the heat, i bought Fireblade, totally cool bike and will not make you rethink your decision.
So you’re saying you don’t like to get 2nd degree burns when you go for a ride on a hot day? Weird. 🤣 I almost went for the RR-R over the V4. That’s a sweet bike. Enjoy your ride!
thanks so much for posting this. I just got my bike and rode up the coast in traffic and it was so uncomfortable on a cool day, I can't imagine on a hot day let alone a track day in the desert.
Apart from installing the heat shield kits, it'd help a lot to uninstall the catalytic converter and run straight pipes. The converter generated so much heat also but this is a pricey solution.
I stripped one of the screws on my Hypermotard when I was fitting the Ducati Performance registration plate holder. It was so bad I had to take it to Ducati to get it fixed. Took them two hours to extract one single screw. Turns out that the previous owner used thread lock on it. Great video btw, hard to understand why Ducati doesn’t fit this kit as standard. And I thought the F4 was hot 😂 Ride safe AMV 👍🏻
For sure this should be standard from the factory when they’re producing these bikes. So true that any bike that makes an F4 feel cool, in comparison, is REALLY a furnace! 🔥🔥🔥🤣
try adding a layer of gold on top of those shields , its used regularly in f1 to shield the drivers from the incredible heat of the massive engine. A layer of gold which is not too thin but its barely above the thickness of those gold leaves is applied on to the engine to dissipate and reflect off the heat. Try and please tell us if that endeavor worked out or not :)
I own a 959, I think the previous owner put a similar kit on cause you feel it get warm and it only gets toasty on very hot days (UK based so we only get like 5 VERY HOT Days Max). Tried a Ducati V2 and gosh that runs so much hotter than my 959. Odd considering they're the same engine. Awesome content btw, love seeing your TH-cam vids pop in my feed, can we see some more MV content soon!? 👀
Yeah the heat on the newer Ducati’s is really next level. Glad you enjoy the videos. My next few videos will be about the V4 but I have a couple of MV videos in the works for later in the year so stay tuned. 😎
The heat shield makes a noticeable difference. I feel like it cuts the heat down maybe 20-25%. It’ll still run warm but it won’t be burning hot. This is the 1st mod I recommend for V4 owners!
I have a ‘22 but at the time they hadn’t come out with the ‘22 version yet so I bought a ‘20/21 kit. It’s basically the exact same as the newer kit. The seat shield pattern is just cut a little different but the difference is not meaningful.
Sorry to say I got my leg burns wearing motorcycle pants (Dainese Tex pants) so I can speak from experience and say, no they won't help with the heat. I think the only pants that'd help would be leather pants. But I'd advise installing the heat shield kit over having to wear leather pants whenever you go for a ride on a hot day. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, it's definitely worth paying a shop to do it for you.
@@amv_moto thank you so much. I will hit ducatinb up and see if they can install the heatshield kit for me when I bring the bike back for the break in milestones.
@@amv_moto hello sir. I have a quick question. Base on your experience how many miles do I have after the gas light is on? I don’t want to risk being stranded so I heading straight to the gas station once it came on but only 2.3 gal is needed in my tank :(
The longest I’ve gone is 25 miles - after the light came on - when I was riding up to Laguna Seca and I misjudged my gas stops. I took it down to 60mph to save gas. Not sure what the actual reserve limit is but I was sweating by the time I rolled into the gas station. Really didn’t want to push that bike off the freeway! 🤣

@@amv_moto I would enjoy it if it was during winter for sure but for summer boy your balls gonna smell like a pickle 😂😂😂

Thanks so much for your feedback❗️
Glad you found it useful! 👍
Great vídeos! Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge about owning a panigale! And all your mods are the ones to do!!!! 👍👍👍💪
Glad you're enjoying the videos! Looking forward to getting all the final mods installed over the next few months so stay tuned.

Perhaps Ducati should've fitted the kit as standard ?
Agreed. All V4s should be coming out of the factory with this kind of heat shielding already installed.

What year model is your Ducati v4 and what year model heat shield kit did you put in your bike?

A solution could be the SFV4. No fairing - no heat issue.
I just picked my V4 up and my right leg is on fire!!! Do you think motorcycle (jeans) pants would help with the heat?

Oh yeah they’re awesome at Ducati NB. They can definitely install it for you. I think you’ll feel a big improvement.

Would you wear shorts ?
🤣 I would not advise that.
