Searching for CAMPING on the MOGOLLON RIM, Arizona with Our LANCE 1575 Travel Trailer

- Having always wanted to camp on the Mogollon Rim in Northern Arizona, we set out to find a campsite as close to the edge as possible - and come pretty close! We're always impressed with how far our Lance 1575 towed by our 4Runner can go, but there are still some epic overlanding spots we have to pass on. Thinking of upgrading to an off-road trailer soon!

Great video. I am going up along around there this weekend. Also, please keep NOT sharing GPS locations. All these people unwilling to put in the time and effort to find spots are exactly the type we want to keep out. Just searching for their next social media post that makes them look a certain way...

Hello Meagan and James, we have been watching many of your video, very helpful and enjoyable. We're getting ready for our retirement next year and our wish is to never see snow never ever again 🙂 Just bought a Nissan Pathfinder SL 2023 and a travel trailer Venture SN211VRB to travel with our dog. Hi planning a camping trip in a couple of weeks !! I absolutely love where you guys are at! Can you pls provide the name of the road or campsite. I’ve been searching for weeks and can’t find how you guys got there !!
To be perfectly honest we don’t have gps coordinates or a dropped pin or anything. It was a while ago now. Somewhere off Forest road 260. Hope that helps. Thanks for asking nicely!
Camp there 4 or 5 times a year. My favorite place in Az.
Definitely one of our favorite spots in AZ and we can’t wait to go back!

Thanks! I would check with local rangers office and see about road closures and weather. I bet it’s pretty chilly up there now and I wouldn’t doubt it gets snow. Safe travels!
How has the 4runner been with towing? I was wary about the weight of a 1575 towing it with my 4runner
It has done ok. We’ve been on the road for just over 2 years now and no major issues.👍🏽

Did y’all have to backtrack to find that spot? Could u get a 34’ 5th in there??
We did some back tracking because we ventured down some off shoot trails but this spot is right off forest road 300. You could probably get to this spot but the rim road gets tighter the further down you go. Definitely possible though👍🏽

We've been there several times. Your spit doesn't look familiar. Which forest road and how far in? Did you have coordinates?
