Born & raised in Phoenix, still live in Glendale and since I never have really had much money to travel, Payson, the Mogollon Rim, Forest Lakes, the Tonto Natural Bridge, that region of the state dubbed "Rim Country" is probably one of my favorite places in the world. Simple beauty!
I watched a 30 min video of yours, I'm also a new subscriber. Your video touched my heart.thank you for your story.i will continue to watch your videos. Love from California
Those old go pros are super tough. Mine got ran over by a Jeep like 6 years ago. Im honestly surprised I still have it to this day. I rarely use it though. Today is the day!
You definitely gotta check it out Kent! You could totally tow your camper up the the top of the rim and have excellent views right out front. The road up is very easy
I really hate to say this but my first camping experience in that area was 45 years ago. I haven't been back only because life happened between then and now. It was probably the most beautiful vista I've ever seen. Where did all the trees go? It seemed so much more forested in my memory. At the end you mentioned vehicles. I don't think those roads were there then and the ones that were weren't as well prepared. We got there in a 1966 Impala.
Wow that was great. So beautiful the lake was a lot like Cherry Lake one of my favorite places here I like to go. Up high just a fishing lake surrounded by lines of pine trees. Close by Yosemite . Just loved the ride. I need a vacation, thank you. You two have a good safe 🌙 🐕 🌵
I live in the Phx valley and love your vids man!! It’s nice to see people from out of state enjoying what the AZ has to offer. Travel safe and keep the good old times a rollin.
You seem right at home in AZ! I moved here 3 years ago and love it. I was just up at the rim at Knoll lake. There is a beach there if you know where to go! So many more good spots up around there drop a message if you like!
Hey man, at 3:27 with the trees, rock, and view, do you know where that location is on the rim? I’d love to go and get some pictures up there next week
That footage though. You killed it Captain. Enjoyed this one tremendously. One question? How did you get you road dog Rex? I’m leaving for a trip at the end of the month to South Dakota from California.
Thanks! I found Rex on a Facebook group one night. A family wanted to give him away because the daughter was allergic to dogs. This was a year ago and such a great decision to go get him because he is one of my best friends now. Travel safe to South Dakota!

I often hike the AZT sections on the Mogollon Rim.

The scenery you captured was so beautiful! I think Rex is probably one of the happiest dogs in the world!

Realll niccceee!!!
How do you like those Procomp xtreme mud tires? i run the sam ones on my TJ and they are spectacular
Ya I like them too. They are only about 2-3 years old and have less than 1,500 miles on them but so far so good
What front axle is in your Jeep? Is the outboard a kit?
The front axle is a 92' Ford Dana 60. A friend made the spring hangers but I know kits do exist.
Does the surprise rhyme with pyeatt draw?
It does not. But to be honest I had to really think about this one to see if it did lol.
Another awesome ride! Was there spots to boondock along the road?
Absolutely. Free 14 day limit style and some spots had awesome views
If i do solo camping will i be killed?
I like that hat whered you get it
Thanks, it’s currently my favorite hat. Hit up my friends Overland_Montana on IG.
🤙

Coming soon! I really appreciate you thinking about getting one! Means a lot to me.

If you see a fire in the sky...don't get out of the truck. I think that is where we almost lost travis Walton!
Brehhhhhhhhhhh!!
Breeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Ramps? Where we're going we don't need ramps.
And there you are faking like there's pain. Cosi.
