Thanks for the excellent demonstration! I look up a refresher every year before I go camping in the woods. luckily I've only ever needed to do it once in the bush. Should also get that camera man checked out, that heavy breathing does not sound good.
Sophia A same, i've been bingewatching oxbridge interview tips as well as things about medical courses and videos like these all day but i haven't even started my gcse courses
a lot of people dump the idea of becoming a surgeon the day they are asked to dissect a corpse. people then realise that med school isn't their cup of tea and they are either scarred for life, or they don't even flinch. there's no in-between. i hope you can handle witnessing a corpse and studying it.
i am 12 and i want to be the greatest doctor this world has seen and also my grandmother died because the doctors who were to treat her diagnosed her with the wrong illness
Hi Capetown ER, nice , succint video . I am now using the pulley suture over bone grafting material after dental extractions . Well done, Capetown ER !
Irrigate the wound with an antiseptic solution such as iodophor in saline. Then use your anesthetic syringe to spray a little local in the wound. Wait, then inject. It will be much less painful. A skin suture should not be under a great deal of tension. Closing a gaping incision/wound requires more advanced techniques.
I'd add something that does not acquire to any e.r. when mașini anesthesia, It sounds crazy but it works în dentistry the. a gadget that vibrates to dissipate the stinging sensation that vibrates on the syringe, can you do this, because patients will be happier. It sounds redundant but I am sure that in many cases if the wound is not that large that protocol of injecting local anesthesia I someone would think to invent this for series like 3, 5, or 10 ml it might help you a lot, thanks for showing how the different types of suturing techniques, it's very helpful.

The knotes are made in such a way so that the 2 skin are held together and tide strong so that with the passage of time the two skin gets together and make one skin surface in total.
i'm only watching this to learn the technique. I dont want to be a surgeon. i just want to learn new things and this happens to be important in certain situations.
things that u hv learnt in this video
1)suturing technique
2) heavy breath sound.
I am 14 with a dream to go in the medical profession so here I am writing medical terms in a notebook and watching suture videos
Thank you, your instructions are very precise and clear, leaving very little room for misunderstanding, stellar job.

The pulley suture. It is awesome!

Thank you for the articulate and comprehensive demo!!
Wonderful! I would've liked to've seen you finish the suture though.
Thank you so much, your explanation is very clear, this is really good for a beginner 🤝👍

Is that the breathing of the person behind the camera that I hear?
nice video! also, where's the continuum transfunctioner?
"Nylon monofilament." All I hear is fishing line.
The Original Gamer lol, same here.
So today i did suture in surgery without knowing how its done... And now im here
Thank you for amazing lesson
For skin closure, you should start at the end not the middle. You are taking too big of a bite and the patient will have a scar.
Okay super cool video and very informative BUT HOLY MOUTH BREATHER BRUH WAS breathing straight into the mic the whole vid
Thank you from Alaska
Thanks! Love from America!
I keep getting distracted by his gorgeous accent =p
Great demo!
How do you manage to tie knots so easily with gloves, I have tried I can't feel the threads when wearing gloves
I just have a question. Is it better to go in the wound and come out the middle or go all the way through? Does it make it neater to out the middle?
Nice work.
Umm, how do you exactly buy the anesthetic? You don't want to be screaming while suturing.
Spartan_Mantis 787 well, sometimes it isn't necessary.
Look online for pet use stuff ;)
Commenting as a med student gonna come back as a surgeon
Excellent. Thank you for the video.
loved the accent , loved the explanation

The knotes are made in such a way so that the 2 skin are held together and tide strong so that with the passage of time the two skin gets together and make one skin surface in total.
shouldn''t you use a sterile tissue to clean the inside of the wound? infections could arise if you use non sterile..
Good stuff!
Excellent. Thank you.
